Aldi's is a no frills / niche type Supermarket. The store is very clean and well managed. I shop here for specific items such as paper goods (TP, Tissues and Paper Towels) because the quality is surprisingly good and very low cost. The meat and vegetable selection leave a lot to be desired. In summation, this is a decent option for those who want to save some money and not deal with the hassle of Wal-Mart et al..,

Nice little place for cheap items. Aldi's doesn't have your typical name brand things, but has some decent items for a good price!

Everything about Aldi is great. It's smaller than a regular super market so the shopping takes half the time. It's spotlessly clean. The employees are always friendly.
They carry mostly private label brands. Instead of Kraft Mac & Cheese you get "Cheese Club" and Aunt Jamima becomes Aunt Pancakes. Same color boxes, same taste, different name. You get the point.
With the economy being what it is, my fiance and I find it worth the 25 minute ride here every two weeks. For around $100-120 we fill up our cart with food for us and the two kids to last us two plus weeks!
The only thing I'm not crazy about here is the meat and deli. Some things like their ground turkey will freeze well, and taste good later, but frozen steak at any store is never as good as fresh. Also their prepacked deli meats, aren't up to par with the fresh meat you get sliced at the local super market. Other than that I have no complaints. We just pick up items here and their on our way home from work when we want steak, or something. It's well worth the trip if you're trying to save a few bucks on groceries. I find it's best if you plan out a week or two of meals and make a good list before you go here. -

How happy am I that they put an Aldi in my town? Very!
I had heard of Aldi before, so I knew how their system works - put a quarter in the cart to unlock it (you get your quarter back when you return the cart), and you need your own bags (or pay 10 cents per bag, or buy a huge canvas bag for $2). The food here is cheap but GOOD! They also carry some name brand items, but it's mostly their in-store brands. It's not a big supermarket by any means - it's more the size of a Trader Joe's. The prices are very, very good - especially on dairy/meat/produce. Bags of ceasar or italian salad mix (with the croutons, etc) were $1! I'm going on a diet so I bought a lot of their diet brand, which was MUCH cheaper than anything I'd find at a regular supermarket.
My only gripe I guess is that they don't take credit cards, only debit/cash (no checks either). I can see their reasoning behind this, but I use my credit card instead of my debit so I can get rewards/cashback, so it's just a peeve of mine that they don't take it. -

Prices good, but the quality of the produce does not make it a deal! Strawberries did not last 1 day before spoiling and the bag of apples most of them were bruised.
Canned goods and frozen stuff was good, cheap prices...
I would go back just not for the produce better off getting it on sale at regular supermarket and having it last! -

Wasn't really impressed with this place. I had heard good things about it, and about the prices, but a lot of the prices were the same as the larger grocery stores charge. There were some deals, and we found some items that I don't see elsewhere, but not worth any special trips.

I tried the Aldi in Milford after a friend of mine highly recommended it because she was saving lots of money every week. At first I was skeptical but the prices and quality of the food were excellent I also passed on some of the meats but you can pretty much get anything else there. Don't be put off by the "non-brand" names. You'll be pleasantly surprised. The concept is very much like the stores in Germany (where I have visited family). Everything is designed to save you time and money. Love it!
