There was once a time when there were no less than three record shops on the Hill. Makes sense. It's the most college-y area in a college town. And the kids love the records!
Wait a minute. What year is it? Sadly, record stores don't have the same appeal that they used to. Now, Albums on the Hill is the only record store survivor on the Hill. In fact, it's only one of two record stores in town, alongside Bart's CD Cellar.
What does Albums have over Bart's? First and foremost, it serves me as a customer. Albums has a fine selection of punk and metal. Bart's is all bluegrass all the time. I won't shop at Bart's because they don't make an effort to serve me as a customer.
Albums also has a nice selection of vinyl and video/DVD. In fact, they've become their own little media empire, incorporating a ticket booth, an upstairs art gallery and the next-door cafe. And you just can't beat it for atmosphere.

Albums on the Hill is a sassy and fun option for your record/cd buying needs, if you still have them. Albums on the Hill is dinosaur holdin' on to the good old days b4 digital audio. So then, if this is what your looking for Albums has your every need and a good looking staff to get you there. Up on what's hott in indie town, Albums is sure to have bang for your buck. Also, there is a fun "listen to this cd-of-the-month" display, so you can check out employee picks and the like if you are not up on it. This is a great spot for your on stop album shop, check you albums on the Hill.
