this albertsons is great. Its clean, and neatly stocked with an abundance of everything you need. The girls at the starbucks inside are awesome! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I love the way they have remodeled it with the sitting area if you so desire to sit and drink your coffee. An absolutely great store with friendly people!

Very clean store. Nice friendly atmosphere. They don't make you feel like you're about to steal something. The bakery is very good. The lady that makes the cakes really knows what she's doing. I bought the strawberry cream cake and almost had an orgasm while eating it. They have self-checkouts which I love so that I don't have to wait in line

The selection and prices are great here. The meat counter is helpful and the stockers will help you find something if you're having trouble. However, you'll be lucky if there are more than 2 checkers, most days there's one, and all of them are slow and have an entitled attitude. Efficient and friendly is just not in their vocabulary! Sure, there's self checkouts, but if you have beer or alcohol you can't be in the self check out anymore. If I have coupons or a lot of produce (which is a pain to scan on the self-check), I'll opt for the checker and then I leave angry. If it weren't for their checkers I'd give this place a 4, possibly a 5... the checkers are just THAT bad! Hire new people, Albertson's!!!

It's a 5-star place, which is sad that I give it 3-stars, but it's the checkers. When I get one of the younger girls or a guy, things are great. 95% of the time, I get one of the two older ladies that has been with the store for a while, chat, move slow, have no sense of urgency, or no awareness of how busy it is. So, produce and meat are great, selection is as it should be, but the cashiers just ruin it for me.

Gotta love your neighborhood Albertsons! Just wish they wouldn't close the right side door so early.
Everyone is super friendly and helpful, this Albertson's has a great team working for them. Two Redbox machines, so we frequent those often.
Their deli is really good; just dont order the chicken tenders too late, otherwise they're really dry. -
Review from Andy H.
I am what you call, a loyal customer. Everytime I come back to this place, it has continually been clean, service = well, prices = decent/good. I just like this place... perhaps its the friendliness of the staff or the familiar faces you see.
Somehow, going to a place over and over makes you feel like you know they are gonna take care of your needs.
Birthday cakes: while I love gourmet and unique desserts. I wanted a simple marble cake with a Toy Story design. They went out of their way to make sure that it was the best birthday cake. I gave the designers a blank canvas and they did a phenomenal job on it.
The starbucks inside is also convenient and just the same. The perk also is that every 10 drinks you log with your Albertsons card, you get a free one. This Albertsons has been continual in its service and product offerings. There are some things where I'm not completely wowed by but I think that is minimal when it comes to the overall experience I get here versus other Albertsons. -

It's an Albertsons which means, you will confuse it with Vons or Ralphs...even when you are inside actively shopping . All three of these chain grocery stores are essentially the same, you frequent them for your canned goods and flour and other such items that are easily priced lower than Trader Joe's or Henry's. I don't buy much here, just tiny oddities: a jar or two of jalapeños, Hawaiian bread, tonic water, patio furniture, Tango & Cash DVD...
Mike A. is right, there are a lot of high school kids hanging around here and not the "Next leaders of our country" kids either, more like shiftless"Lowering my property value" kids. I can't wait till these little terrorists have to pick up trash in the Albertsons parking lot as penance for the DUI they are sure to get in three or four more years. Hmmm...cleaning up the trash of future brethren derelicts. The circle of life, circled.

Review from Walter M.
If your coming North on Melrose, this place looks huge, bright and premier. If your coming South you'll probably pass it right on by and think nothing of it as your distracted by the Pink Prison, yes RBV is sometimes known as the Pink Prison. Then you pull in and there is a strange divider and even more confusing stop light with fading street lights and lines. The sloping parking lot and pillars are not as inviting as you'd expect. Inside it's business as usual. White, bright and more about the bakery than everything else. To me personally Albertsons are less about what's on the shelves since they are pretty much the same everywhere. The large national brands and commercialized everything. It's about the deli, the bakery for me when I come to supermarkets in general. If you don't bake good fresh bread and stock a good amount of meats and Albertsons in general all do this. Also they were or are the last to carry lobster tanks, maybe not this location, but Albertsons in general.

I always find everything I need here at this Albertsons. Store is always neat and clean. Parking can be a hassel, they do have more parking on the front side of the building along Melrose to the right as you are coming into the shopping center off of Melrose. The only thing is if you like to shop early in the morning or around 2ish in the afternoon, avoid this place unless you like high school kids everywhere. (it is located across the street from RBV High)

in line shocked that there are two "self check out lines" open and 1 regular line. in the regular line was a woman with 50+ items. the self check out is 3 people deep in line. i take my chances with the lady with all the items. once she has three items left to be scanned she says "oops, i forgot something, can i go get it?" i stare at the guy and shark my head with my eyes wide. the two guys behind me opted for the same line and one moved from the self line (way backed up and people needing checker assistance)... and to my HORROR he said sure. she goes and in the time she's gone he has finished scanning her three items. we're standing waiting. i say to the cashier (tom) how rude i thought it was that he let her do that keeping us waiting. i had ONE item. the guy behind me: ONE ITEM. the guy behind him: ONE ITEM. he could have rung all of us up in the time she was gone. she gets back and i'm still telling the guy how next time he ought to ask for them to wait in line again or come back. she turns and says it's easter, and to lay off. i said NO. "you were out of line going and getting something when there are three people behind you in a hurry to get back to THEIR easters. it was rude to ask the saled guy and not to ask the people you would actually be inconveniencing. bottom line that was rude." she goes "bla bla bla" and i say "NO, don't go get shit you forgot and punish us for your forgetfulness. i wasn't talking to you at all so why don't you C your way out of this A B conversation, mkay?" she goes "bla bla bla".... to be honest i had no problem with her going and getting anything IF she had asked. she just went with tom's opinion. RUDE. the cashier letting her: RUDE. went and spoke with manager. she was nice, but unhelpful. said she would talk to tom.
