Clean store and I've encountered pretty helpful people there. It's a tad further than Ralphs, but the prices are better, especially when they have sales.
Listed in: Places I shop for food!

I am officially boycotting this particular Albertsons location. Working close, I used to often pick up groceries on my way home from work here but NO more.
Where to begin? First there is always solicitors outside, which is somewhat agitating.
Next you get to deal with the employees who are rude, unprofessional and inept. There is a older woman in the deli who hates people and refuses to look at you, there is seemingly no one in the bakery, and there are usually several cashiers clumped together in the front of the store, having personal conversations with each other, all while trying to avoid eye contact with you because you might have a question. Of course, there are some nice and helpful employees, but the whole experience is soured greatly by the hateful ones.
Next complaint would be the actual operation of the store. There is usually only 1 or 2 checkout lines open, even during very busy times, leading many people to use the self-checkout machines- a process which completely breaks down if people have coupons or need assistance. With NO ONE ever around the self check-out machines, you're stuck waiting and trying to flag someone down to actually help you!
The biggest offense, for me, was the fact that they felt compelled to make an announcement OVER THE INTERCOM, asking for the owner of my car to come up front. When I asked what was the matter, they insisted that I park in the back of the parking lot because "my dog was aggressive." My dog was in a locked car with the windows up. Oh, and it's a BEAGLE! We're not talking vicious pit bull here, folks! It's a beagle with a loud mouth! How rude of them to make a customer feel so embarrassed by calling them up front, like a unruly grade-school student!
So I am through giving money to a place that makes me feel unwelcome and actually makes me feel like I'm being bothersome to the people who work there! The manager needs a serious wake-up call as to what customer service means! I'll just go to the location off Valley Pkwy! -

so my cousin, who is a marine that just recently got back from iraq, can't buy alcohol at this alberston's with his military ID because it doesn't have his height and weight on it. however, he can get onto military bases with it. really? 22 years old, serving his country, can't buy booze at this albertson's. what a joke. no one else gives him any hassle except for THIS alberston's.
the manager was right behind the cashier, and he said it was the cashier's call. way to go manager, way to go. you could have resolved it easily, but no.
no, he didn't have his driver's license on him, but he did have his military ID. -

This place is awful!!!! I went there with my girlfriend and was harassed in the parking lot by the cart guy. In the store, we overheard multiple employee conversations about drugs and sex. At the register we heard another conversation about sex. I then tried to buy $200 in groceries and was asked for my ID. they then asked my girlfriend for her ID which is against the law. She questioned them so they took my ID away from me for almost a minute. The manager came over and said that she needs to show her ID immediately. Is this Nazi germany????? Do these employees think they are dictators?

Been going here for a while. Nice selection on everything. Comment on the cousin who couldn't buy alcohol with a military id. Establishments have the right to as for a state issued Id card that has the height and wt. Your cousin should know this as they get briefed on this. Ask your cousin if they get into clubs downtown with his military id. Answer is no. Not hating on your post, just thought it was unfair to blast the store for something that all alcohol vendors are supposed to do.

Odd place. Store layout reversed from usual pattern, fresh groceries to left, etc. Prices usually higher than competitors but on specials much lower-- day old bread and frozen food 6 weekly specials at 50%. Clean, some redneck elements remain but much improved. Pickup for lunch and dinner stuff may be best element. Service desk usually left unattended but nice cashiers, go figure. Not as well stocked as VONS or Raphs.
