Store has been in its location for a long time so yea, the paint and the floors dont shine like new but the food areas are kept and they dont really seem to be understaffed. And the red headed cashier has always been nice whenever ive gone in..

I only go here because it's close to my house. And I only go here when I only need a handful of items. I never do full blown grocery shopping here. The prices aren't that great and this particular store is not organized well. I prefer Vons. And they never have enough casheirs. Even if there are dozens of people in line, they will have only two lanes open.

Ever since I changed zip codes, I was super happy that I no longer had to shop at Vons for all my food needs (frankly, I find Vons to be super expensive and Ralph's was a little too far for me to drive). Unfortunately, this Albertson's is terrible.  Very small, a little run down, the parking lot is strangely designed, and the checkers are SUPER slow. Don't come here if you're in a hurry because it will take a while.  I don't think this place makes enough money to have self-checkouts because I would totally do that over standing in line with a checker.

I will say, the prices sure beat Vons or Windmill Farms (don't even get me started with the latter).  I'll continue to come here since it's close to home and I personally like to stretch my dollar, but ugh, I wish this store were a teensy *tad* better for my supermarket needs. :(

Ok, the last few times I have been in there have prompted me to write a review.

First of all, the store itself is very outdated and definitely needs a face lift, but I can deal with that.

What I can't deal with, is having to sort through milk, eggs, and yogurt that isn't already expired or close to it's expiration date. I have to go through about 7 or 8 cartons of eggs before I find one without at least one broken egg in it. All the meat and fish always looks like it's on it's last leg. I recently bought a bunch of produce that went bad a few days after I bought it before I even had a chance to finish it. I bought a container of "fresh" pico di gallo from the produce section that was already bad when I opened it. The last 4 containers of sour cream I bought went bad within a week of buying them (well before the expiration date.)

I don't even know how much food I have bought from this store that I have had to throw away. This defeats the whole purpose of shopping here as opposed to Vons, down the street because the prices are usually better. I'd honestly rather pay more to shop at Vons and have a more pleasant shopping experience and NOT have my food go bad.

Yikes, LOOOOONG wait in the line. Only 2 cashiers, no express line open, no self-check out.  Its like this every time I've shopped there. Won't go back anymore, I'm done!

I wish I wasn't such a creature of habit and I also wish I didn't have this strong desire to not be inconvenienced.   Sadly, this is why I shop here. It is so darn close, parking lot is easy to get in and out of and it's usually empty.  Problem is most of the time it is dead, so when it gets busy the checkers simply don't have a second gear, they don't know how to quicken the pace so the lines just get longer and longer, it can be brutal. However, most of the time it's clear as day, you never can tell.

I use to work at a grocery store, and you know what my manager drilled into our heads? Be professional, and don't chit chat in front of customers.  Apparently their manager doesn't really care about this idea, because maybe it's just my work history but the checkers here drive me crazy. If you are lucky, they will stop gossiping or flirting long enough to say hello.  I have noticed some Yelpers place the blame on the fact that most checkers are young, but today I had a woman in her 40's spend the entire time I was in line ripping one of the baggers and questioning her professionalism.  Mam, if anyone needs a lesson in professionalism, it's you.  In fact, maybe close the store for the day and the entire staff can go.  Except the meat department, I'm ok with those guys.

This store is the closest large grocery to me, and it's cheaper than Vons for the most part. I get the weekly flier and then go in and get the stuff on sale.  But the store needs work.

It looks really run down.  The whole strip mall is very tired looking, but the inside of Albertson's just looks dirty even if it's recently cleaned, due to the years of stains.  The bathroom doors are gray and they should be a pine color.  I understand that the economy's bad, but I think if they spruced up more people would use the store.

Employees sit out at the tables and smoke, which is a turn off when you're going to get a cart and get an asthma attack as a result.  Ick.

Today I was looking for a bottle of burgundy wine for a recipe, and the only kind they had was a big jug of Gallo.  They had other brands of wine, but the wines were disorganized, making it time consuming to look over every single shelf.   It was most organized closest to the front of the store, as if someone realized that order would be good but neglected to begin the organization at the beginning of the wine section.

I have personally had good experiences with the older cashiers, who are very friendly and give my kids stickers.

The produce area is also well-kept, with a wide variety.

But it looks and feels downtrodden in general.

ha! I will just say that the first review for this location is not entirely wrong in regards to the employees! haha

I live right down the street and know/have known people that work there...I wouldnt talk bad on my friends, but there are people there that I would love to shake some sense into when it comes to customer service.  I prefer to go to VONS thats a little bit down the road, (Ive sort of grown up going to VONS so I think Im just partial to it)  That being said, Albertson's always seems to have Captain Morgan on sale.  Makes me happy. And they are nice about refunding your money.  Ive had to return a few things and they never hassle you about it.

This store needs to clean up its act. I've been going to this store since I can remember...but the last several times I've been (in the last few months), I've left a little disgruntled.

Here's my bullet points for convenience:

~The "fresh" fish case smells to high heaven. Totally disgusting.

~The people who work in the deli are so unprofessional.

~I think the manager is opposed to hiring anyone beyond the age of 18. Not one worker I have seen there in the last 2 months could have been in possession of a high school diploma. Nothing wrong with that if they are professional, but one of the last times I was there, this little wannabe "LC" checker didn't even stop her lame conversation  with her little "Audrina" wannabe friend to greet me - she didn't even stop to tell me my total! I had to read it from the screen on her register!

~Last night, one of "LC" and "Audrina's" little friends followed me aisle to aisle with her push broom, hitting my basket and cutting me off several times! Why, when I'm one of prolly 3 people in the store, can you not clean one of the 19 other aisles I'm NOT on?!?!

I gave more than one star because they have great hand trimmed chicken breasts which you can often times find on sale.

Other than that I hope that in the near future I can again become, as Michael Scott would say, a gruntled shopper of this Albertson's location.

This place has reasonable prices on some quality and...not so quality food.

I second the review that the employees are 18. And look 16.

    ...and act 15.

    Ok I kid.

    Crackheads shop here.

    Beware.

If you like waiting then this is the store for you.  If you are in a hurry then you should go somewhere else.  I had to wait at the deli for 5 minutes today for a little bit of cole slaw and I was the only one there. There is always a line to check out also.  It doesn't matter what time of day, you will wait.

I really like this store, most of the staff are personable, the produce department is great, and over all they carry many hard to find items. I would give it a five but I had a bad experience with one of the cashiers maybe she was having a bad day.

I just stopped her to buy some sponges and paper towels but the experience was pleasant enough.  The clerk was comparable or better then my downtown clerks.  I probably would not buy food here though.

I'm posting again since my first Post was filtered. Thanks Yelp!!!

I've been coming here for 5 years and I have to say it keeps getting worse and worse! Kick customer service out the door. The checkers are rude, and are usually spending their time planning the next house party or flirting with one another. I even got into an argument with one of the lazy checkers! The tall goofy manager with the glasses just stood there looking like a lamb.

There are a couple of nice courtesy clerks as well as the "one" respectable checker. You'll want to come early to get decent service.

Seriously, what is the district manager doing and why is he/she not taking care of this problem!

i've noticed that the general feeling about this albertsons is meh whether it be on yelp or in the store. it is not a place to go if you're in a hurry. simply because of the old folk that stand in line and insist on writing a check for their groceries and also it's extremely crowded around dinner time too. the staff is friendly and generally on top of things. i wouldn't recommend shopping for meat or seafood there because i've smelled the counter from a distance before and i know that is not a good sign. i've also gotten bad fish from there and it's ruined me from wanting to buy things there like that again. it's generally an outdated store compared to the nice, new albertsons popping up everywhere. i'd pay a little more at the register for a face lift on that place.
