This Albertsons manages to survive despite competition from two other supermarkets at this intersection. Higher prices here means I go elsewhere, but once in a while there are produce blowouts, like four avocados for a dollar or ten oranges for a dollar.
An isle full of kosher and Jewish niche products appeals to the Jewish population in north Dallas. I call this the Jewish Albertsons. Can I say this?
Update -- I spoke too soon. At the beginning of February, whoever is in charge decided this Albertsons would close too, so right now there is a liquidation sale. I should have trusted my initial impression that this place would struggle to stay in business.
