Not the biggest supermarket in Irvine, but has everything a college student would need. Don't expect a big variety like other supermarkets in the area and you won't be disappointed!
The Express Meals were so worth it, but they reduced the portions by 1/4 so now it's just Ok. The Cashiers are super nice and even scan their Rewards Card if you forget yours.
Even after college, this Albertson's gets the job done! -

I know I said it wasn't stocked well for desserts; I take it back - they're not well stocked for anything awesome this Los Angeleno expects from her supermarket (more like short bus market).

Overall

Gold medal - Cooked Honey Chicken Wings
Silver medal - 2 Red Box Kiosk inside the market
Bronze medal - Plenty of parking
This Albertsons is located right next to/in the UCI Campus.
This Albertson has a deli and hot foods section where they sell chicken wings by the lb. If you come during lunch or peak times the wings are tasty and juicy! I recommend the honey wings.
There are 2 Red Box Kiosk in this Albertsons location making movie renting cheap and convenient.
There is plenty of parking in this Albertson's plaza. I hate it when the plaza has bad parking causing you to fight for a parking space or hike to the market. Not here!
The prices at Albertsons is more expensive than other nearby super markets, like 99 Ranch Market and Wholesomes Choice.
Cheapest to most expensive nearby super markets:
-Chinese Super Markets (ex. Ranch 99 Market)
-Korean Super Market (ex. H Mart, Fresia)
-Indian Super Market (ex. Wholesomes Choice)
-American Super Market (ex. Ralphs, Albertsons)
With the extra dollars paid the produce also comes cleaner, so the ranking from cheapest to most expensive also means cleanest to dirtiest produce.
When I buy spinach at Ranch 99 Market, I need to wash the spinach about 4 time to get it clean and my sink is full of dirt. When I buy spinach from Wholesomes Choice, I wash it about 3 times and there is some dirt in the sink. When I buy spinach from Albertsons the spinach is clean already and just needs a rinsing.
Price difference is about 4 times more at Albertsons for spinach than at Ranch 99 Market.
So I guess the real question here is, "Would you rather take the time to wash your spinach 4 times more or pay 4 times more the price for your spinach?"

Our twenty something niece calls in distress one night - smoke alarm doing the low battery beeping torture routine, eek, eek, eek.
Even though the husband often says, "Toughen up and don't be a candy @$$ in life", we left the comfort of our couch and head over to her condo. On the way, we stopped at the Albertsons across from UCI campus for a 10 volt battery.
Next to the batteries was a clearance sticker: three disposable Kodak cameras for $7.99 Thinking who knows how much longer these will be around, I bought a pack.
"We even have a developing service in case you need them developed." How old school cool is that.
- about the battery changing on the niece's smoke alarm, it was a legit service call as the condo owner had painted over the cover making it almost impossible to extract. -

This is a busy supermarket with a lot of customer as college students because it is close to UCI. I shop there very often because it is the closest supermarket from where I lived. The cashiers are generally very friendly and they helped you to carry stuff to your car when asked.
