Review from Shanna C.
Went to Albertsons again today and my review is improving by 1 star. Why you ask? Well the coffee selection for Kuerig. The prices seemed to have gone down at $6.99 a box and lots of selection. We got in and out, so I am adding a star for both the service AND coffee selection. To me its worth the extra star.

I like this Albertsons well enough. The reason for the 3 starts is the prices seem high to me. Maybe… Read more »

The produce isn't all that. Lots of seran-wrapped, plastic wrapped vegetables.
However, employees have always been nice. And they give out whole cookies for sampling at the bakery. Win! -

Today was buy One get TWO free on steak......buy one get one free laughing cow cheese.....many many other buy one get one free items.
MARGIE G. , in the Deli, was incredibly helpful. MARGIE steered me toward every item that was On Sale.... offering samples of all of the items I was interested in behind the Deli Counter ! Margie was Super Nice to every single person that walked up & addresssed every person promptly whlie they were waiting. Impressed !
I know that this Lakewood Albertson's is going through a remodel......the store was clean & everything was easy to find. The employees were friendly and very helpful. The prices in All departments were good. The produce was fresh & beautiful.......even the flower arrangements in the floral department were BEAUTIFUL.
I really like this Albertson's....... across the street from Fuzzy'sTaco Shop! -

Bringing this review down one star as I've noticed recently that the quality in produce is very poor. I have gotten produce home on more than one occasion only to discover that it is rotten once cutting into it. I called the store and reported this to a manager but didn't feel that my compaint was taken seriously. More of an "Alright, well we'll replace it the next time you come in..." kind of a response rather than a promise to look into the problem.

Review from Nikki B.

As you all know, Shadow is a little loco and has to be boarded quite often so Kevin and I can have real lives. Thankfully, Albertson's is close to doggie "camp," so we usually stop in for groceries before picking him up on Sunday afternoons.
Once you get the layout of the store it's pretty easy. The produce is always fresh and filled up, and sales aren't hard to spot. The meats in back aren't the best of the best, but hey... it's Albertson's.
I prefer this location because it's usually never crowded and it's not full of 20-somethings eying one another in the ice cream department (ahem... Uptown).Listed in: Errands make my world go round, Lakewood 'Hood

I think I've put it every one of my reviews that I don't cook. I'm trying to change that. First step is buying stuff that's easy. Pasta, soups, sandwiches, etc. I used to live by this Albertsons so I'm familiar with it. Even thought it's a little bit of a trek from Deep Ellum I still like this place. Mostly because it is never crowded. And the average age of the costumers are 90, so I don't feel the need to dress up like I do at the uptown location (sort of what Nikki B mentioned :)). I have no idea if prices are cheaper somewhere else. The prices always seem reasonable to me, and it's always an easy in and out (TWSS!).

Review from Barkle T.

Fruits and vegetables are much higher than the nearby Fiestas. Kroger beats them on a lot of other stuff. There are just rarely any deals here.
I HATE the syrupy R&B music that is constantly piped in. It's like being trapped in an American Idol rehearsal hall.
About every 5 minutes there's a "Welcome shoppers" announcement that hawks the daily special (that is really not so special). These announcements are invariably made unintelligible by their speakers, each of whom has marbles in his mouth.
Incidentally, if it's the "Ultimate Meat Sale," why do they have it every week and with prices that are ho-hum? -

Just like all the rest--good selection, not so price competitive. NIce place to stop for a bottle or two on the way home. Not quite as nice as some of the other Albertsons, but overall not a bad place to shop.
