Maybe because it is a little pricier than Ralph's is why this store always seems to be dead. Trust me, I don't mind feeling like I am the only person in the entire store. They are well stocked and in my experience, the employees are actually very friendly. Apparently that's because I'm blonde ;) but I don't agree. I'm just a super friendly person! The cashiers always say hi and the produce guys are always cutting up fruit for me to try whether I'm looking for it or not.

One of the main reasons I come here is for the self service express line. I like to ring up and bag my own groceries and since I will usually only shop for two or three days at a time, I never really buy that much.

I stopped in this store for a bottle of wine and some India pale ale. The first thing I noticed was that the place is in desperate need of a makeover. It appeared that they have done the organic aisles in the middle of the store but the rest screams 1990s.

I found the wine section easy enough but the room they have for their beer selection is somewhat hidden. After some searching I ran into it by chance.

I wanted a six pack of Stone or Lagunitas but am not willing to pay $11 for either. I cannot believe they are asking that much so I settled on a super-saver Kona pale ale on sale for $9. Please!

Finally, I passed a few associates who made eye contact with me but their mouths did not move. I like the approach at another local supermarket where all associates ask if they can be of assistance. I like it when a butcher offers to help you locate toilet paper.

I'll keep this store as a 911 store but don't plan on going back for a large shopping purchase.

I feel as unjustly out of place as Chalkie White attending a black-tie gala at Babette's on the Atlantic City Boardwalk whenever I'm here and it's busy. If you don't watch Boardwalk Empire on HBO, let me explain:

Clean place, set up nicely, but some of the employees that I've come across over the last few months of coming here are less than welcoming.... Like the last review before me by Renee J., I feel that like most of this area (Rancho Santa Margarita and Trabuco Canyon), this store gives off a very unwelcome vibe, and that patrons get treated differently when they are not blonde hair/blue eyes or WASP's.

I hate saying that about an entire establishment, but have seen it on several occasions at this location, and just today from the female checker who rang me up... open conversations, hello's, goodbyes, laughs, and jokes with all of the other customers (who were also over the 15 item limit in the express lane)... and me with one tube of toothpaste (of course they didn't let me cut)... and when she got to me, it was head-down, didn't push the proper buttons to ring me through quickly (though again I had one item and the line behind me was raging), and didn't give me so much as a "hello," a smile, a "goodbye," "thanks for shopping with us," or a "thank you."

The Director of this store should really have a talking to with his employees - especially the older folks at the registers. Times have changed. I come in dressed to the 9's in gentlemen's clothing that is hard to pronounce. It would behoove you to treat everyone equally. Remember, this isn't an isolated incident that I'm describing; it's what I've observed over a period of months.

Will spend my hard-earned dollar elsewhere while in this town.

I've noticed that this store carries some of the products I use a lot (ground turkey breast). I am picky about what I like and I don't usually substitute stuff if I don't like. It's a nice store. And they have a RedBox outside...they have a Starb**** too but like you can find those everywhere.

Most everyone who shops for groceries goes there regularly so I have an expectation that these grocery stores should hire people who are somewhat friendly. They should at least say, "Hello".  I had a bad experience at this store and it turned me off a bit. The checker based ignored me when I said hello and she seemed just cold.

It's just a grocery store. Yes, I know. I still think employees should be friendly and learn how to pack grocery bags.
