Review from Chris L.
This grocery store is a little dirty and old. It's overdue for an update and the aisle are a bit crowded. The prices are only good on the weekend if you need to pick up your proteins.
Watch out for the meat sale. They usually have ground turkey for really cheap under $2 on ads. As well as very cheap 1.98 lb chicken breasts.
This place is full of fun characters.
The best part of this store is the fish market guy. He's literally over the counter trying to sell you his fish. He's a really nice but weird post middle age guy. He's overly enthusiastic and seems to really care about his job.
There's also an older gentleman that does the checkout. He's really nice and friendly. He'll tell decent stories about the day and is always cheerful.
Also, finally the bread guy always cracks me up. He has as a very strong accent. He only works during the weekday evenings. He pushes a cart around with his black chef's hat chanting, "Hot hot bled!".
The bad part of the establishment are the prices. It's a bit costly for the basic items like milk. It's about double here than the Target down the road.
And the worst part of this place is the self checkout. The machines are really slow. I waited 2 minutes for it to process my debit card.
This place does double and triple coupons. But i'm not sure about the exact policies.
They recently added beer and wine to the store too. That part of the store has made the store a little nicer. -

It's clean, organized, and not full of disgruntled workers. Yeah, a little pricey, but I wouldn't use the word expensive. . . I mean, it's not bad and it's conveniently located, so it's a good place for me to go grocery shopping. I have only experienced good customer service here. I've never run into a worker who was rude or uphappy. That's worth it to me, alone!

Ok. I will admit it. I am a grocery store SNOB.
My dad has been in the grocery store business since 1959. He ran epicurean style grocery stores for most of my life. My life as a college student in Waco turned depressing when I had to buy groceries. I still maintain that Waco wouldn't know a decent grocery store if it hit it in the @#%.
Back to Albertson's. Last Sunday I ran in here because I was in a hurry and I just needed what I would have considered a small handful of basic items to make a salad for a work picnic.
Unfortunately, this was not only a wasted trip, it made me furious. Why in the world would you need 18 facings of Red Wine Vinegar and not a single row of White Wine Vinegar?
I called the manager over to explain the issue and he explained to me that "I don't know what happened, we just reset this section". Um, what happened is your set was wrong and no one caught it.
There is a reason Albertson's is going out of business. It's because they can't even carry common basic ingredients on a regular basis... and with Market Street, Tom Thumb, Central Market and Whole Paycheck around... they just can't compete. -

This is the worst store I have ever been in. i only go there if I have too! Everytime you walk into this place it smells like FISH! The meat selection is horrible. i would never buy meat from there. You can tell that it has been there for some time. I went there for lettuce one time and every bag/container was browning with liquids sitting in the bottom. I find it hard to find things in that store too. It just doesn't make sense. Oh, and there is the same guy going through the store yelling about some hot bread, like there is anyone in the store to buy it. I don't want to put the man out of a job, but they can just buy a hot box.

The worst part about this store are the prices, I try to go only on Sundays with my Cowboy's jersey on so I get 10% off, but it's just so damn convenient for those little things you need during the week! We live a block away and this is just so much easier to get to than CVS or anything else on Frankford. The store itself is neat and clean, but I still don't really understand the layout, there are 3 different places for cheese so I feel like I'm running all over the store to get my cheese. Don't even get me started on Albertson's self check out stands, they are terrible! For the location, I'll put up with it all.
