Review from Brian R.
Huntington Beach, CA
Staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable about products. It's a smaller beach store but I like like that, as opposed to larger stores where it's hard to find things. Non Foods Manager, Rosalie is always exceptionally helpful and greets customers with a smile and a hello. A pleasure to shop at. As far as Albertson's pricing goes, they are moderately priced. They run 10 for $10 sales and have pretty good sale pricing overall, so if you stick to those items, you should come out pretty good. Oh and there is a Starbuck's in the shopping center if you need a caffeine hit before or after you go shopping.

This Albertson's is closer to home than any of the other grocery stores, and even though I prefer the selection and layout of other grocery stores in the area, I still try to force myself to shop here out of convenience...
Every time I try to give the place a chance something comes along to further sully my opinion of the place.. Rock hard chicken tenders, runny, watery macaroni salad, old fashion store layout with the isles that go on for hours, products they don't carry because "they aren't a big enough store"... Whatever.. My experience today cemented my hatred...
I'm waiting patiently in line to use the self check out system.. The line slowly works its way down.. finally it's my turn to ring my arm full of groceries.. A self check out console opens up and I start making my way to it when an Albertson's store employee, "Joshua C." jumps in front of me from out of no where and proceeds to ring up his purchase.. slowly, might I add.. This dude works at the store, he knows where the line forms to check out! WTH Josh? Even if you are off the clock, you should still get in line and wait like the rest of us! -

This review is solely for the deli section:
I decided to get some chicken wings from the deli.
As soon as I picked one up to eat I knew something was wrong. The chicken was limp and soft, not crispy at all, and had probably been sitting under the heat lamp since the day before or god knows how long.
Then I took a bite. Please find it in you to forgive me, my dear taste buds.
It was honestly the saltiest thing I had every tasted. Saltier even than Pizza Hut's pepperoni, and that's saying something.
It was so salty that my kidneys instantly started screaming "SYSTEM FAILURE, EMERGENCY DIALYSIS, EMERGENCY DIALYSIS"
It was so salty that a vortex of low osmotic potential was instantly created in the back of my throat and drained all the water out of my esophagus. Nine hours later my throat is still sore and I'm still drinking water like a madman.
It was so salty that it truly deserves the old Chinese quip "Who killed the salt merchant?" (for those who don't know, it implies that whoever made the food has killed the salt seller and dumped all the salt he was carrying into a dish to cover up the crime)
Long gone are the days when Albertson's had delicious fresh fried chicken.
I would seriously rather drink a pint of water from the Pacific Ocean than eat another chicken wing from the Albertson's deli. -

Went here to buy a birthday cake for my son. Apparently they give out complimentary 8 inch first birthday cakes! I don't really know the stipulations of it or anything but I bought a half sheet for about $18 and the lady in the bakery told me she would decorate a complimentary one and would have it done by the time I paid for the first one. I'm all about free stuff so I was really excited. The smaller cake came out much nicer than the first one too!!!! Both cakes tasted great!!!
I also bought sand toys and firewood here which was worth the price!! -

The only reason for just ok is that its smaller and doesn't have the biggest selection of everything. And with it being smaller I would think the employees would be friendlier and acknowledge you.
The thing that makes it decent is it's location. It's on the way to our friends house and we always take wine or beer there. And this Albertson's although being smaller still has a whole aisle dedicated to the happiness of life. -

What can I say about a grocery store? It's clean, has everything I need, has decent prices and great dinner ideas.
Yes, I know, a stretch for a review. Sorry. -

I don't often find myself with the opportunity to review grocery stores - don't really think about it much, honestly. But I stopped in here the other day, and my service was so friendly, so personable, and so genuine, that I just had to give them some credit.
From the manager who helped me personally when my coins jammed up the Coinstar (word to the wise - clean 'em off!) to the well lit aisles and the clean, non-fishy smelling seafood department (hear that Ralph's? NON-FISHY SMELLING), all the way to the great produce section, I am now a big fan. -

this is a great store to shop at if you have an albertsons card, which you can get for free at the store. ALCOHOL is cheap as hell here, and we always end up savings tons of $$$! ie half gallon of kettle one is $33. AWESOME! all around good deals.

This location was recently remodeled in the past year or two. I have no issues with it really, except for the area between the checkout registers and where the food aisles start is a little tight. I preferred it when it was still a Lucky Supermarket.
