Now this store is gutted out building. nothing but the floor, ceiling and walls, with the ghetto lucky lettering remain I think it might be torn down, like much of everything else in this center. It would do it some good, before it becomes a discount store or some other non grocery use. besides safeway now sucks, albertsons when they were around prevented their high prices, but now they are all gone, so safeway can now price gouge us, i still go out of my to lucky to avoid shopping at safeway, especially midtown, who has now filled in the category of "ghetto supermarket" for downtown, since the closure of the ghetto  downtown albertsons.

Albertsons.  Remember back in the day they used to be Lucky's?  And they had isles upon isles of nasty generic yellow boxed groceries?  Oh how ghetto must it been.  And then Albertsons came roaring back in the mid 90's remodeling everything, 3's a crowd and all that, but ended up being the ugly step-sister to beautiful Safeway.  How could they ever compete with Safeway Select products with remodeled stores that still looked ragged and sooo second-class?!  And now it's a sad sad end, stores are closing and Safeway reigns supreme.  Nice knowin ya, Lucky's/Albertsons.
