They have great sales every week. The store is always clean and fully stocked. The staff are very helpful and have a great attitude, even during my early morning breakfast runs!

The interior design makes you feel like you're at a farmer's market.

    Overpriced on standard label foods.

The convenience is great but I'd rather drive to Sprouts or Whole Foods to buy better, fresher, and less inexpensive groceries !!

Their chocolate chip & brownie cookies though are fucking amazeballs !!!!! Highly recommend !!

They do sometimes have good weekly sales but still overpriced !!

I bought a last minute red velvet cake from here for a friend's bday picnic......and it tasted like shit !! Nothing close to red velvet !! Oh wells...

Alcohol section is pretty stocked. Prices? They're ok. Nothing to drool over. $18 for a bottle of Absolut. That's standard right?

The milk & juice section are ridiculously priced !! $4.99 for a gallon bottle of milk? Holy moly. Not even Whole Foods is that pricey !!

Their chicken breasts in the meat department runs for $6 a pound. Um what? Are they tryin to rob people's pockets?

Even their spices & herbs are crazy !! $5.99 for a standard bottle of McCormack garlic salt !! You can get one at Target for $2.99 !! Half the price !!

Anyways the only thing worth coming here for is the cookies. Yummmm

    Awful experience.

The manager at this store is completely rude!!! Zero customer service.  I informed him that a product that I was buying was MUCH cheaper at another Albertson's and I would like him to honor that price. He said "every Albertson's has the RIGHT to set their own prices."
Apparently he exercises that right and sets his prices higher than everyone else.
Also, my friend got sick from the meat he got their and the manager didn't care!!!

This is my weekly grocery spot. I like that it's a newer store. They even recently remodeled, which is odd, because it was pretty new, to begin with. The aisles are wide, so you don't have to squeeze by your fellow shoppers. The store is bright and clean. The liquor and snack aisles are HUGE, I like my space. Because the store is larger, they have a somewhat larger selection than most. The employees here are super nice. Practically all of them say hello. We especially love Allison. I go out of my way to get in her checkstand. Even if she has a longer line. Always has something nice to say while we're checking out. She moves the line along faster, even if the line is longer. And she always lets us know when we could get a better deal by buying something else or we forgot to use a coupon for something.

This place gets 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons: first off, and this is not unique to this specific Albertsons, but all Albertsons: their produce is AWFUL. Not fresh, rarely ripe and way overpriced. Please, please shop at your local Farmer's market instead. I hate the produce at Albertsons. Same for the deli counter, they don't carry Boar's Head brand meats and cheeses. Enough said, pass. Their dairy items are ALWAYS expired. I'll go in on the 15th and they have milk that expired on the 13th on the shelf. Learn how to rotate your stock. The store also seems to be full of unsupervised children on bikes and scooters. We're talking 3 and 4 year olds! The parking lot also is full of people begging for money.

All in all, this is a good store to visit, minus my few negatives. Friendly staff, good selection and much, much cheaper than Vons. I live across the street from a mega-Vons and go out of my way to hit up this Albertsons. Good work, now clean out the kids and get better produce.

I like using the robot checkstands (sorry humans) and the bratwurst dogs here for lunch are ridiculously tasty. Get 'em on a french roll and have 'em drenched in spicy brown mustard.

In and out of there in a couple minutes, with nice soda and a good hearty sandwich and some Hawaiian Sweet Maui Onion chips, and for under $6... you can't beat it.

I like to eat on the benches out front if there aren't any Greenpeace idiots out there with their hands out for my credit card... I mean those guys didn't even help with the annual Dolphin slaughter in the Quasi-National Park at Taiji, Wakayama, in Japan (http://en.wikipedia.or...)... and they expect me to help them?

Anyhow. Rant. Sorry. Back to Albertson's. Yeah. Clean store. Nice people at the registers and plenty of help in the aisles. Lots of smiles. HUGE inventory. Good times.

Oh, and they have a little weird stuffed animal named "Albie" that you have to find and if you do, you win a prize... they hide him around the shop, and of course, the game is only for kids... but what was hilarious is once he was hidden on the cigarette cartons behind the counter haha. #fail

If anyone had asked me a year ago, or a month, or even a day, I would have told them this Albertson's is crap with nasty employees.

But although they didn't ask me, they've managed to turn it all around.

Their produce was nice, if the apples too shiny.  Nothing special.  Move on...La Brea bread!  Hooray!  Have to check that out.  Decent selection, I think we picked up three or four.  Busy deli.  Cold cuts and prepared food looked meh, but my husband was struck by the fried chicken...I think it's post-KFC psychosis.  It was a great deal, 8 pieces for $5, and not only was it better than KFC's, but the deli woman was extremely friendly and worked out the best deal for us.  We tried the zesty wings too, and they reminded me of years ago when you could get decent hot wings at KFC, that were actually better when you put them in the fridge and then nuked them the next day...yeah.  So they weren't the freshest, but still delicious.

The meat section was pretty standard, but they had a nice international food section.  For some reason, the Indian stuff is an aisle over with the kosher, but hey.  They have an Indian section!

What really blew my husband away, though, was the frozen section.  There is a great frozen pizza called American Flatbread.  You can't find it anywhere, even the Henry's stopped carrying it.  This Albertson's had *multiple varieties* of American Flatbread pizza.  I thought he was going to faint.  We also got a great deal on Dreyer's Whole Fruit popsicles.  I love you, lime whole fruit popsicle.  Forever and ever.

At the checkout, the cashier actually opened up a new line, called us over, checked us out promptly, and even put the coupons that printed out right back to use immediately, no next-purchase bullshit.  The bagger did an awesome job, conscientious and friendly.  We left feeling a warm and fuzzy glow.  I don't know if they changed management or what, but this incarnation of Albertson's is the best yet.

This store has become my new "go to."

I shop early - I like the feeling of having the store to myself, and I like browsing quietly while I think of what to make for meals through the week.  This well-stocked, well-appointed Albertson's fits the bill!  This morning from 8-9 AM I had the run of the place, and a wonderful selection of fresh-baked, still warm LaBrea breads, fresh, colorful produce, and exceptional meat department.

I never went here before it was remodeled, so I don't know if this has always been the case, but the employees here are so friendly, and honestly, so concerned about making sure you get the best values.  Twice I've had great experiences - first, the checkout person had saved a $10 off $150 coupon from a previous customer who wasn't going to be able to use it, and applied it to my order.  Then, today, the cashier remembered there was a store coupon on the pasta I was buying, and went back to the section herself to make sure I had those.  On average I save $35 - $40 each trip.  Not bad!

    Awesome service.

Plus, just about the only of my "weekly necessities" they don't carry is Green Mountain Gringo salsa, but they have nice little shelf cards to request products, and said to just ask at the customer service desk on my next visit to find out where it was.

It's not Whole Foods, but some of the expanded gourmet offerings are good enough for when I just can't manage to steel my courage for the parking lot in Tustin.  I'm a fan.

Even though this store looks brand new on the outside, apparently they never updated the inside, so they've been spending what feels like a year, although it's really only been about three months, completely refurbishing the interior of this store.

Since I do most of my grocery shopping after 9 pm, which is when they do most of the work, I find this obnoxious.

Otherwise, the selection is good, even if their prices are sometimes high -- really, no cranberry juice on sale for less than $4? Yeesh.

Albertson's tends to be the first chain to pick up new food items, so when I clip my coupons from the paper to try some new frozen food delicacy with a buffalo flavor (I'm a sucker for buffalo), they typically have it right away.

But I can't seem to find Babybel cheese here. It's a mystery.

I only come here when it's necessary, otherwise I'll probably start shopping here more often when they finish re-doing the place!

    Best albertsons/large grocery store ever!!!!
1.) when the misters go off for the veggies lights flash and you hear thunder! Fun.
2.) they have a shit ton of variety in fruits and veggies as well as all the goods they have here.
3.) they have a dedicated organic section.
4.) the store staff is super helpful and freindly, yes that still meens something.
5.) everything is very well designed and kept very clean (except the carts... That's a people problem though, they have sanatizer anyway)
6.) the cashiers are wicked fast. I mean wicked fast.
7.) it's obvious there is upper managment who understand what people want and they have implemented their knowledge. Thank goodness.

    I'll be coming back!

The store is nice, has a good variety of organic and ethnic foods and has a pretty good produce section.

The few times I've been there though, the lines were REALLY long, and it seemed like there were plenty of employees doing everything they could to not open up another checkout line.

I'm not even exaggerating that the last time I was there, I was one of 13 parties in the only open checkstand. I COUNTED! Lazy bitches.

Hold your horses... Mexican, Asian, Kosher AND Indian foods?  AND in Albertson's of all places??

Besides having a bigger variety of "ethnic" food selections available, this location is pretty huge, which can be both fantastic and a pain in my arse as sometimes aisles are literally split in half and my old quarter-century eyes can't see that far yonder.  Plus, the self-serve checkout stands get you outta there in no time... EVEN on Superbowl Sunday!

WHO KNEW that Albertsons could bake such AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS SINFULLY TASTING CAKES!! I was shocked last night when I took a bite of my sons birthday cake that I pre-ordered from Albertsons on Monday evening. Someone told me that Albertsons can make photo cakes.. So, I walk in Monday evening with a pic of my son taken on Xmas day of him skating on his new board. A nice photo of him caught in the air doing one of his tricks... So, with that in hand I asked if they could put it on the cake.

With anal directions said in a nice way I explained and even drew out an image on the order form of how I wanted the cake to be look. Mind you it was after 730 PM and the bakers had gone home so an employee who really didn't know much just enough to fill out an order form helped me. Kudos to the bakers who did an amazing job. Not only was it perfectly executed but the cake was pretty good. I ordered the tres leches cake requesting that there be fresh strawberry's as filling with butter-cream frosting.. (pic to follow) .. I have to say that for a 1/4 sheet for a tres leches cake was a good deal. I ended up paying $27 for the cake which normally they are $19 and some change.. But, I added the extra stuff like the photo that they scan onto rice paper and then the strawberry's.. The cake was beautiful.. It even made me a little teary eyed.. Sounds lame but it was my baby's birthday and to see him stoked over his cake and loving that his photo of his stunt which had a name but I forgot was on his cake made me happy.. Even his friends were in awe over it.. Yeah, he has a prety dope ass mom!

Note: I will say that I have had better tres leches from a panaderia. I bought an amazing tres leches cake a couple of years ago for a b-day party and yeah.. That one was a little bit tastier. But, for what it is Albertsons tres leches was good and they did an amazing job on executing my request!!

Holy GIANT ALBERTSON'S Batman!  I'm from Boise where the company was founded. First Albertson's is on 16th and State.  The Albertson's on Harbor is like a freakin' Costco... It's HUGE.  I was very impressed with the cleanliness and selection.  I gave it only 4 stars because we walked in a few minutes before the meat department closed and the guy was just starting to tear everything down... I asked him a question about something (wasn't even trying to have him sell me something from his dept) and he snapped at me and was ridiculously unfriendly.  I guess I will chalk it up to the dude just having a bad day... I guess it happens to the best of us!

As I was checking out I noticed there was a puddle where my milk had been laying on its side. I pointed this out to the check out women who started inspecting it and insisting that it was fine. I was still a little skeptical so I turned it on its side and squeezed and sure enough the milk came streaming out. She then tried to tell me that any milk would leak if it was turned on its side. She obviously should know the rules of safe food handling. The seal was broken bottom line. If milk was coming out, air was coming in. The worst part is that when she told me I could go get a new one,  she asked me to return the opened one to the shelf.

I am really surprised with the good reviews. I used to shop there for a while as this store is conveniently located next to my house. Almost every time I had a bad experience. Almost every time I told myself I would never go back again. Starting with expired food and ending with rudeness of the people working there. Prices are high for regular, nothing out of special, factory food. It is clean and they renovated it, but that doesn't mean anything when you have to wait 30 minutes to pay for your stuff and then you realize you paid double you would have in any other grocery store around. Also, they seem to follow a pattern when they hire cashiers, they are all slow and impolite, they talk a lot, usually saying stupid things, or making ridiculous, dumb jokes. Most annoying - they do charity all the time, which is great as long as you don't put pressure on people to give you money. "Would you donate a dollar for...?" if you say you have already done that, they gave you a look like you're a criminal. If I want to donate, how about let me volunteer that? All in all, haven't shopped there in 5 months and never will again. There are many other much better grocery stores around and with much more affordable prices and better quality of their produce, and they understand the concept of being nice and respectful with your customers.

Not sure why so many people love this store. Prices sky high and their "customer service" people are always slow and grumpy. I rent the rug doctor there only if everywhere else locally is out of them, because they charge a $50 deposit that Ralphs and Stater Bros don't.
