Review from Robert M.
No, even though it's in Corona Del Mar, this isn't a fancy market like the Pavilion's down the street, and it's certainly not the Bristol Farms a few blocks away or the Gelson's up the hill.
First impression is... it's tiny. For that reason, you won't find a florist, or a redbox, or a coinstar, or a lot of stuff stocked here that other Albertsons have -- they just don't have the room. But the staff that works here is SUPER excellent and nice - really great. -

This review is for a couple that stopped me before I entered the Albertsons, gave me a thick packet of their coupons and 6 free big holiday game tickets. I don't know what it was all about, but it felt like Christmas and I was able to get a few more items on discount, than planned.
Random acts of KINDNESS are two thumbs up!
Thank you to the couple from out of town.
The store is kinda small and they don't have all the selection of course. Instead of MAPLE Farmer John sausage links, I had to settle for CLASSIC. Regardless it was on sale for $.88 each, so no complaints here.
- Due to size this store is organized differently, sausage links and bacon are located where they keep the deli meats / NOT where they keep the regular pkg'd meats
The workers are helpful and go out of their way to make sure they give the right info and direct you to the right place. -

This isn't Gelsons or Bristol farms - which are both in the same neighborhood - and that's why I come here!
Yep, The parking sucks. True, the aisles are tighter than any other grocery store I've been in. And don't forget the bizarre shopping cart situation where they are outside around the corner ... oh ... and how 'bout those greenpeace girls that are always all up in your ear about joining their cult ...
I shop here because prices are the same as every other Albertsons - which makes this the only reasonably priced grocery store around.
The workers are super helpful and friendly and the produce is always top notch. The deli and meat areas are pretty good too. I'll suffer through the bad parts to get the good price.Listed in: Newport

Corona del Mar, CA
Ultra small Albertson's. Our only local Corona del Mar grocery that isn't premium priced (Bristol Farms...)
The staff is great. I've seen the same people working here since 1991. They know the neighborhood residents and we know them.
Due to the size of the store, the check-out lines can get long sometimes - especially in the summer when touristas are in town.
The Albertson's parking lot is also afflicted with the mysterious Newport Beach smell. It comes and goes. You'll know if you've found it. The rotten egg version of the black smoke monster on Lost. -

Waited about 5 minutes for a butcher to show up. The sushi guy saw me. When the kid in the butcher department showed up he stood on the customer side for another 2 minutes before going behind the counter. I was clearly looking for help. When a man showed up he helped him immediately. So I left forever. 30 years ago the service in this store was great maybe a new manager is in order.
A friend was waiting in the deli department for a sandwich the whole time.
The deli dept should have numbers and an extra person to help during lunch hour.
