Cheap any tasty. If I ever need to grab a bite in hurricane. I'd stop here. Great for a casual and fast meal. Workers were friendly... and the serving portions big.

Its small mexican joint that happen to be open when we drove into this small town to grab some groceries. We came here because the reviews seemed decent, and the food was what was expected..just decent.
I had the carne asada fries...the portion was huge, but i didnt feel that the meat was seasoned well enough ..where i was adding a crap load of salsa and lemon onto it. We also ordered the cheese enchilada plate...mental note never order this...this didnt even look decent it was just a tortilla wrapped with cheese and probably stuck in the microwave..it didnt have that nice ooey gooey cheese melting out of it or those lil burnt pieces of cheese.
The highlight was the salsa bar, there was a lot of salsa to choose from, which was good since i had to use a crap load of it =p -

Avoid this place unless this is the last food left in the state of Utah.
It deserves "0" stars but 1 is the minimum on Yelp. My wife and I used to visit the only taco shop in Hurricane for years, cheap food, ok quality, taco shop flavor -aka socal taco shops.
We went there a few times in late Sept/Oct 2011 and it was the same. The last time, a marked change had taken place. Either owner, management or ??. We went in the evening about 7PM and the counter person was rude as hell. My wife asked for the fried yellow chiles they usually always had in a bowl on the counter. The counter lady barked at us: " We don't have them any more .. haven't had them for years..!"
Our orders came; my wife's beef burrito was all beans, my dinner was stone cold, literally still frozen on the inside. I politely asked if she could microwave my food, and the counter creature screamed " WE HAVE NO G'DAMN MICROWAVE... DO YOU WANT TO COME BACK AND CHECK!"
I remained calm and tried to reason with her, the fry 'cook' came out to see what was going on. He could speak little or no English but did understand the word frozen for the food when i made him touch it. It was still icy.
The counter creature then told me to shut my wife up because my wife was starting to bother her. That made my wife who is Asian quite angry to say the least. The creature then said she was calling the Hurricane Police to come and do what I don't know and pretended to dial 911 but I saw her actually dial 711 and then pretend to wait for the 911 operator. We waited and nobody showed up, we left our $15 uncooked food on the booth table top and left.
This is the really sad part of the story. I really enjoyed going to Albertos over the years and now there is no other taco shop around closer than St. George. Lupitas down the street has been there for years and is edible and they are courteous but the food is kind of weird, not socal mex or tex mex. the flavors are their own and I don't care for them.
I wish the Hurricane Police had showed up and seen the slop they called food. The Washington County Health Dept needs to close down this dump that gives even bad taco shops a bad name.

Stopped here on my way out of Zion national park. Had a California burrito with fajita chicken (No upcharge!).
It's good, fast, filling and cheap ($3.91 total). They even have the sliced radishes and jalapeño carrots at the salsa bar.
I'll definitely come here next time I'm in Hurricane. -

After a long day of hiking in Bryce, driving, and exploring Zion, we arrived in Hurricane late on a week night. Luckily this place was open and we didn't have to try some other fast food place.
Alberto's has a wide variety of dishes to order, so there's something for everyone. It's also super cheap. Average burrito is less than five bucks! I got a carne asada burrito, which was delicious and packed with meat. It was a little greasy, but I think that's fine compared to the stuff they give you at taco bell. At least here the meat was grilled recently. I've also had the sausage breakfast burrito at the place in Salt Lake City, also excellent.
Great value, much preferred over McDonalds (which I like). I think it's sort of strange they use potatoes instead of rice in their burritos, but maybe it's a regional thing and generally it's a nice change of pace. I'm impressed that they have a drive thru. Come on Northern California, get with the awesome program. Thumbs up for being open late (some are 24hours!).Listed in: Road Trip

Calling this "food" would be an insult to food. Bland and heavy on the lard. Avoid at all costs.

Considering we almost ate at McDonalds, this place was amazing. Very quality Mexican food like you would expect in Southern California. Make sure to add rice and beans to your burrito if you want it like you're used to eating. Amazing find that would have never happened without Yelp. Thanks!
