This office always provides wonderful care. Everyone is both professional and caring. Really appreciate the follow up phone calls I receive after my treatment. So happy I found Drs. Soto and Kadosh. Extremely happy with the quality of care I've received and the friendly and warm office atmosphere.

Dr. Soto is awesome.
He's knowledgeable about dentistry, caring and really friendly. I like that he's local and from Northern California. So we always talk about the 49ers and Giants and compare our thoughts on different restaurants in San Francisco.
Dr. Soto is very easy to talk to and he takes the time to explain procedures to me and answer all my questions. This makes me feel comfortable which makes going to the dentist a much more enjoyable experience.
The office is clean and up to date and the staff are always very nice and helpful. So if you're looking for a dentist in SF, definitely check out Dr. Soto and his team. -

Finding a dentist you love is probably up there with trying to find the love of your life - okay, maybe, not as hard but it's up there!
A visit to Drs. Kadosh, Soto and team is always a stress-free and enjoyable experience as they take their time in treating you right. You never feel like you're being rushed through your appointment or at a cattle call waiting for your number to be called. I love the clean atmosphere, up-to-date technology and equipment, the professional people and quality service with a smile. They don't schedule you around their lunches which is always refreshing and considerate. If you're in SF and need a dentist, give them a call and let the experience win you over......your gums will thank you. -

When I went in for my cleaning a year ago, they told me that I had to do it in two parts because I hadn't been in in a while and there was too much cleaning to do in one session.
What they didn't tell me or take into consideration was that my insurance will only pay for two visits in a calendar year. So they scheduled the next visit for six months later and are now billing me for the visit, claiming that they told me that this would happen. Which they didn't.
Shame on me for not keeping better track of what my insurance would cover and how many visits I'd made in the calendar year. But this seems like something that the office should bring up when the customer is scheduling the next cleaning.
Frankly, I'm most upset about the office's refusal to negotiate at all about this. They want to be paid in full? Fine. It's the last dollar they will see from me. -

Over the last few years, I've seen a revolving door of hygienists (some good, some painful) and doctors at this practice. Not the kind of stability I like to see in a health-care provider.
The biggest issue for me, though, is that my husband recently had some work done, and they didn't properly explain that -- even though it was routine work -- it wouldn't be covered by insurance. After he pointed this out, they kept insisting that they told him this up front, refusing to admit their part in the misunderstanding or negotiate at all on the cost. Given that we've both been long-term patients of the practice, I expected better.
When I called to cancel my upcoming appointment, the receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule. When I told her that no, I wouldn't be returning to their practice, she said "OK" and hung up on me -- didn't care why. Clearly their front-office standards are slipping, too.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Jorge S.
San Francisco, CA
The whole practice gets a 10 stars from me and I thank my partner's colleague for referring this fabulous dental practice.
So I'm the biggest chicken when it comes to the dentist. I have had cleanings, root canal, crowns (and not the one on my head) and a few fillings at this office and have always been the most pleasant experience. Not to mention all of these procedures were all done in one office which means that I didn't have to go all over town to get all my dental work.
Margo, who has been there over 100 years as I am told (ok not that long) has the greatest humor that will soothe your visit and keeps you laughing. Dr Kadosh and Dr Bayer are the sweetest, nicest, and most pleasant dentist that I have ever come across. I especially feel VERY relaxed when the nitrous is used for a more careless mouth drilling.... LOL.
Oh ya, the inserts that they have on the lights above the dental chair has clouds and this ads a relaxing experience.
Not to forget Rachel and Christine, who work in the front are always pleasant on the phone and say thank you at the end of your appointment with a smile when you leave the office. So If your looking for a new dentist with a great reputation, look no further this is the dental practice you need to look into. Tell them you read Jorge's (hor-hay) yelp review.
Rock on Dr Kadosh and staff!!!!!!!!!! -

This is the best dental practice! The front desk girls are so helpful at answering all of my questions and scheduling my appointments. The hygienist are always encouraging and they are happy for me when my gums are healthy. =P
Both Dr.'s have served me and both of them are great! I definitely recommend! -

I've been going to Dr. Kadosh for about 15 years now and everyone at his office is amazing.
I've had cavities filled, many teeth cleanings, a root canal, wisdom teeth pulled, root planing, and trays made for bleaching and have never had a bad experience with any of it. Dr. Kadosh's manner is so calm and reassuring, and they always seem to be knowledgeable about the latest technology in dentistry. It's nice to have a dentist that I don't have to worry about questioning his recommendations or procedures.
Parking is cheap at the Stockton Street garage, 1/2 block away, and it's not too far from the BART. -

I've been seeing Drs. Kadosh and Soto for three years for regular check-ups and cleanings. Their professionalism and friendly approach to dentistry is exceeded only by their staff.
The staff are very good about giving me the reminders and encouragement I need to remember to floss regularly. They go through, in plain English, the health of my teeth and gums and make me want to be a better (or at least more regular) flosser!
Recently, I had to cancel an appt on short notice b/c my wife went into labor with our 2nd child. Not only did they happily reschedule my appointment but they gave me a gift for the baby.
You'll be extremely pleased with the service and care you get here. -

I had a root canal. I know... I know. I got a root canal last January 2010 from my childhood dentist. I was at a restaurant eating chicken wings the other day and part of the crown cracked in half. Just like that. My childhood dentist didn't have a 24 hour emergency contact line, so my boyfriend suggested me to call his dentist(s) Drs. Kadosh and Soto. After my consultation the following day with Dr. Soto, I came to find I had an incomplete root canal. I must say I was extremely disappointed and furious with my previous dentist; however, after a few discussions about my procedure with Dr. Soto to make me have a better smile with my pearlies, I was extremely happy and impressed. The office and ambiance makes me feel comfortable and at ease to be there. I actually look forward to going to see my dentist. Weird right? The staff is amazing, and mind you, Margot is AWESOME! She makes me feel like a new woman every time I leave. Her words of wisdom in an overwhelming situation. I am truly grateful. I would like to thank the dental team, and most importantly, my boyfriend for referring me. =)

Can't I give zero stars? I would if I could.
I had a crown put in and paid for it at the time of the procedure. It wasn't cheap -- $800. A week later, I get a call telling me they had gotten the wrong information from the insurance company and that I owe them four times that amount - $3,200!! This was a huge hardship for me, a single parent. Had I known it would cost that much, I wouldn't have had the procedure done there. But what was he going to do...take the crown out?
It should be noted that Kadosh never provided me with any proof that the insurance company was at fault. I didn't have the money on hand, so I told them I would offer them whatever I could when I could, and I made good on my word. I paid in installments, and tried to pay every month...and I usually did, and eventually paid the entire bill off. Nonetheless, any amount that I gave them was never good enough or fast enough for them, and Dr. Kadosh and his "professional" staff got really ugly real fast. They could have offered to split the difference -- it was, after all, not my mistake, but I'm sure the thought never crossed his mind. He's rude, arrogant, and puts his own needs before those of his patients.
This is going back a few years now, and I no longer live in San Francisco, but it still gets my goat how nasty and unsympathetic he was. -

love dr. kadosh. he's very mild mannered w/ a soothing voice (great for those of you with dentist phobia.) he's also very thorough. i'm introduced to his staff, all of whom are extremely helpful & pleasant. plus they gave me a bag of free stuff.
however, it's quite annoying that everything can't be done in one appointment like other dentists. i have to get: 1. x-rays & photos, learn proper teeth care, 2. a consultation where the results are 'presented', 3. teeth cleaned by this other person (who's very booked), 4. teeth fixed part 1, 5. teeth fixed part 2. that's 5 appoinments for a routine cleaning & cavity filling! it's fine if early evening or weekend appointments are available, but since they aren't, this is very difficult for us working folks.
if this wasn't the case, i would've given 5 stars. -

By far the best dental office I have visited. Great advice to maintain healthy teeth. His office is very clean and staff very professional. I felt like family from the moment I stepped in the doors. Highly recommended dental practice.

I've had over half a dozen different dentists and orthodontists, and Dr. Kadosh is easily one of the best. He is thorough, professional, and also very easy to talk to. His office staff is also very on top of things (the automated email reminders for upcoming appointments are a plus as well). Some of the hygienists I've had for routine cleanings are just average, but Dr. Kadosh still rules. 5 stars all the way.

We like Dr. Kadosh and is practise so much that we referred everyone from our offices to them. Nice staff, gentle, remembers us each time (smartly puts your photo in your file so they know you by sight), and has a state of the art online reminder service. Plus conveniently located to Union Square.

Review from Amber W.
San Francisco, CA
In four years, I have seen three or four dentists looking for the right fit. I am so happy I found this practice. I see Dr. Bayer and I love him. By far the best dentist I have ever had, and the office as a whole is just great. Everyone is warm and professional, and they have all these extra touches like a preloaded ipod to listen to when you are getting a cavity filled. Little stuff like that makes a difference. I am kind of a baby and I never am in any pain during my cleanings, exams or even procedures. Despite being one of the better rated dental practices in the city I never have trouble getting an appointment, and never ever have to wait.

Another efficient and extremely thorough dental visit. It is always well worth the commute and time from Fremont to know that my dental health is cared for professionally with a true, personal touch.
