I have never received such fantastic customer service before working with Albert & Eve Organics!
I used Yelp to find them, and am so pleased with the discovery. First of all, the fruits and vegetables provided are awesome. The variety encourages me to try new things (don't care for Swiss chard but oh how I love fresh spaghetti squash and fresh yams now!), I have become a better cook as I experiment in my kitchen. I have also lost a bit of weight as I'm essentially forced to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables!
Secondly, the customer service that Albert & Eve provides has been outstanding! My emails with questions are promptly answered and they are personal in response.
Third, a story:
Last week I contacted Albert & Eve to be sure I was *not* going to receive a bag this week. I mentioned to Brandon "as much as I love pomegranates, my budget is allowing me to only get a bag every other week right now," and received a quick response confirming delivery dates and empathizing with my financial situation. Imagine then, to my surprise, Nigel (delivery driver) showing up today with a bag from Albert & Eve. Imagine FURTHER surprise when I opened the bag to discover three pomegranates in said bag. I was not charged for the beautiful fruit, and I can't get over how the company responded to my email.
If you're looking for an organic produce delivery company in the Bay area, I absolutely recommend you try Albert & Eve for a few weeks - you too, will be impressed with the foods & service. I promise. -

I have been waiting for a service like this in my area for quite some time and finally discovered the wonders of Albert & Eve. The organics are always plentiful, fresh, and priced far lower than what I would buy in the store (of the same quality). Also what I love is that the produce hasn't been scrubbed clean within an inch of its life - it is as if I just picked it out my own garden. I am enjoying eating "in season" and trying new fruits and veg.

Absolutely fantastic! Super fresh, well picked fruit and veggie options that go together great. I love that they pick the best of the best from local farms around the Bay Area. (They now source almost 100% from local farms). I used to be part of a CSA and actually prefer this since they can mix and match veg that go together. Its always super fresh which means it lasts longer in my fridge if I can't use it right away. I just LOVE coming home to that fresh bag of groceries. I also find that I have been cooking more since I started the service.

I'm mixed on Albert & Eve. The weekly grocery baskets have a lot of great variety in them. However, we regularly received damaged produce and while I thought I was really helping local organic farmers with my subscription to Albert & Eve, I quickly learned that they didn't source entirely locally, and that some of their local stuff came from very large farms. In many cases, my basket was full of the same stuff I found on sale at my local health food store that same week- so I realized that I would make more of a difference, save money and get better quality if I buy direct from farmers at the farmers market, or go to a CSA program. The biggest bummer of it all is that their customer service was great at the beginning and that's why we kept our subscription despite the above issues- then it slacked off so badly that it would take several emails and calls to get a response from them. So I probably wouldn't use them again and would only recommend them if you need a lot of variety and don't care about where the produce is sourced from.
