If you are staying in Windham NY for a few days, this bed and breakfast is perfect. The big house is cozy and comfortable and the service is extremely accommodating. The staff's attention to detail is what makes this place shine. At breakfast, I asked for soymilk but they did not have any. Immediately, they apologized and told me they would go out and get some and they would have it for breakfast tomorrow. Outstanding service.
In the lobby for guests they keep a stack of menu's from all of the restaurants nearby, several board games, a DVD collection, and computer w/ internet access.
Their kitchen is open to guests 24/7 and they always have a supply of cookies, beverages and other snacks out.
And finally... their beds are heavenly. -

I just got back from a weekend trip with my boyfriend to the Albergo Allegria. The place was great. Rooms are perfect- king sized amazingly comfortable beds, oversized jacuzzi tubs, great robes, and all the amenities you would need. The breakfast was amazing- from the belgian waffles to the egg special. The staff is wonderfully friendly and the whole place has a welcoming feel to it. Restaurants & bars are within walking distance and plenty of activities within about an hours drive (at most). I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great weekend getaway from the city.
