Review from Chaim S.
Laramie, WY
It's a small-town library: Underfunded, but doing the best they can. That being said, the stuff that looks like white moldy shag carpet on the ceiling needs to go. The book selection works, if they don't have it, they'll do an interlibrary loan in order to get it.

Review from Valerie G.

These heartless bastards towed my car one day with my roommate's golden lab in the back while I ran across the street for 10 minutes. Fuck reading.

ADDENDUM
to address Marjorie's response...
I'd be interested in seeing those records - I can only imagine the detailed information about incidents of people returning "Earth in the Balance: Ecology and the Human Spirit," with fecal matter smeared on it, or cowboys spitting on the catalog search keyboard. You should go back into that annex, search for the records box labeled "Angry library patrons from June 1997," and see if you can find that record of the woman scolding you in her outside voice for having no heart.
The dog was left in the car on a 65° day in June, in the shade, with the windows rolled halfway down. I realize that it's cruel to leave an animal in a car for 10 minutes in such conditions, and thank you for your concern for my roommate's dog which was in my care at the time. The tow-truck driver was probably in complete agreement with you when he apologized profusely, and told me that the library made him tow the vehicle, even though he felt incredibly bad towing a car with a dog in it and argued that point to the staff who authorized the order. I feel like him waiving the fine when I went to pick the car up only proved the library's point.
I'd love to find out more about your extensive collection of pet care books, but unfortunately opted to move to a town with a little more culture, and a little less ignorance promptly after graduation from UW some years ago. I regret that I'll never get to hear you condescendingly recommend books to help improve my flawed life - but if I'm ever back in town, I'll be sure to give you a call and maybe we can grab a beer at The Library (the one that has adequate parking and more patrons.)
Cheers!
