Alavie Fitness BOOTYcamp!!
Can't believe 5 weeks has already gone by.. and now I'm truly sad... and maybe a little bit relieved since I don't have to get up 3 times a week in the wee hours and haul my ass over to work out... but it was definitely well worth it. Never in a million years would I have ever thought I'd be so dedicated to working out.. (not just because summer is right around the corner and I was also going to Vegas).
The instructors are awesome and helpful.. Dave, Jose, and Genevieve... not to mention that Dave is also easy on the eyes =).. more incentive to work out right?? .. They make sure you get a good work out every time.. and as Jose always says.. "I'll make sure you get your money's worth" .. Jose was definitely the hardest instructor thus far.. almost made me throw up and pushed us to the limit, but that's when you know you're putting your body to the test.
Too bad they're cancelling the Sunnyvale class.. it was definitely a great experience... 5 stars for my firm butt! -

I have been going to the bootcamp for the past month and I definitely feel much fitter than before. The workouts have become progressively harder and continue to remain quite challenging. My muscles ached quite a bit during the first week but since then, the recovery time has become much shorter. Besides, there's nothing like getting an early start in the morning. Dave and Jose have both been fantastic. Just last weekend I had to shovel more than a ton of snow to build a snow cave - lets just say, I'm very glad I've been going to bootcamp.

I absolutely love Alavie bootcamp. It's a great organization and the coaches are fabulous and inspiring. I'm amazed about how much I have progressed in the last few months. I'm 41, a little over weight, have two very young kids, and work full-time. A year after I had my second baby, I just couldn't loose the weight that I had gained during pregnancy. I needed a major kick start but not just to lose some weight but also, and more importantly, to get physically fit. When I first stated, I was the slowest and most out of shape person in the group but I decided not to let that get me down. It really helped that so many people in the group were very encouraging. Now, I'm in great shape and can definitely keep up with most of the people in the group. It amazes me the different levels of people who do the class, some are marathon runners and triathletes and others are significantly overweight but people work at their own pace and are so encouraging to each other. One of the most significant reasons that keeps me getting up very early in the morning (and I'm NOT a morning person) is Dave the instructor. He is amazing! He's calm and friendly but also very inspiring. He genuinely gets happy when he sees people accomplish things they didn't think they could do. I love how he mixes things up every single day so that the class never gets boring. He takes pride in his work and I can tell that he puts a lot of effort into being very well prepared for class so that it never gets boring. Also, before I started, I struggled with the high cost of bootcamp (other bootcamps I researched are similarly priced to Alavie) but decided to do it because the most important thing I wanted was to be healthy and physically fit. In all honesty, it's worth every single penny because I feel fabulous and am a happier person.

My boyfriend and I been doing Dave's (and Dana on Mondays) bootcamp for 2 months now and we LOVE it! We started off with the Groupon promo and signed up for 2 more bootcamps (even though it was pricier after the promo) because we've seen such good results. We get a hydrostatic body fat test done every 3 months and between the two of us, have lost almost 10 pounds of body fat! I've also gained a few pounds of muscle, as well. (We're able to fit into old jeans we thought we'd never squeeze into again!) For the newcomers, Dave starts out each 4-week bootcamp with basic drills and circuits, but then builds up the intensity and challenge each day. For the regular bootcampers, he always provides an advanced option so you're constantly challenged and pushed even when there are newcomers. Dave changes up the exercises each time so we're never bored of the same drills; there's even a playground/play gym on the premises that make for great mini-workouts (usually on Fridays)! Being able to get our workout done early in the morning and out of the way leaves us to enjoy our evenings. There's really nothing like exercising outdoors, with the sun rising, in the fresh air. Dave not only teaches and coaches an active lifestyle, but he also lives one himself - his enthusiasm for sports and exercise rubs off. We're definitely signing up for more bootcamps.

Dave is an awesome coach. The work outs are always a challenge and never get boring. Dave is always on top of his game and always pushes you. When I signed up I was worried I wouldn't be challenged ....boy was I wrong! I highly recommend this boot camp.
