I'm writing this review with the caveat that my last experience with their products dates back to, oh, like, 1992 because my grandmother used to bring me stuff from there when she'd visit. And I've only been there once and that was almost 20 years ago.
But from what I remember, and this I do remember well, they made awesome wild-berry filled chocolates and I always liked the reindeer jerky. They had reindeer kielbasa, which was my absolute favorite.
In fact, I've got their website up now to see if they still have it and, if they do, I'm gonna order it! Yay! -

This is a great place with you're a chocolate or candy fanatic. I'm not so I can't give it more stars. If you do plan to buy their candies, do buy it here because it's double the price at the airport.
This place definitely has a large assortment of souvenirs; but not the cheapest I've seen along my journey thru Alaska.
Their chocolate fountain is cool and huge. Too bad there's a sign that states along the lines of "do not eat or taste." Makes me wonder how old the chocolate has been running in there.
I must be there on the wrong season since I did not see any berries in their berry garden. -

Luckily, I live here in Anchorage. Unluckily for my bank account, I CANNOT get out of here for less than $20 (JUST for the chocolate). I don't think I'll ever visit here in the summer again. Last time we went there were TWO tour buses outside, and inside was freakin horrendous with the crowds. It was difficult to breathe in some places. We just left, it was so bad I was scared to stay there longer with my 18 month old, who likes to run off. In the winter though, I cannot keep away from there, and I'm not ashamed to say, I pork down $20 of chocolate and gummy candy in less than two days.

The chocolate fountain is awesome!! This is a great place to get souvenirs to take home. They also have a tour on how they make their candy for $6 that's pretty informative. Don't come hungry or you'll want to buy everything you see!!!
