If you're in Seward, this place is a must stop.  The Museum was paid for by the trust set up by the settlement of the Exxon disaster and the freakin' $20 admission tickets.

The puffins are not to be missed, you can practically touch them, but even better is going down below and watching them swim under water faster than a fish.  The Steller Sea Lions are stellar, and the touch tank is a LOT of fun.  I've been there twice now, and it is always a ton of fun to bring kids.  The looks on their faces make it worth the price of admission.

Wherever you may live remember never to approach injured sea animals - contact the appropriate authorities so that the animal will have the chance to be released back into the wild!  The sealife center is the place that marine animals are sent in Alaska to be rehabilitated.  Alaska airlines is so gracious as to transport animals outside of driving distance to Anchorage so that sealife center employees may pick them up at the airport and drive them to the center in Seward.
Today is a very sad day.  Skittles the rescued sea otter pup died in an accident in the enclosure.  The staff was kind enough to update us on this by email which is helpful as we would have gone back to visit before he was relocated to New York at the end of summer.  The staff must be heartbroken as baby otters are quite care intensive and bond with the humans that care for them. The sealife staff will investigate the cause of the accident in order to ensure that anything avoidable may be prevented in the future.
We will attend their special event in August.  I really appreciate all of their email updates - this place is totally worth the cost of membership both for personal benefits and also in terms of investing in a greater cause!

Basic interactive aquarium set up.

Tanks with animals.
Exhibits where you push this and moves that. Slide this and that makes noise. And you are learning the whole while.

Worth it, because the focus is on the local wildlife. I had never seen some of those animals in person before, and certainly didn't know much detail on how oil spills effect them.

Don't know how much it costs because this was an included excursion in the Royal Caribbean surf & turf tour.

This place was small but awesome!  I had the opportunity to take some fabulous photos of some really beautiful sea creatures.

If you're ever in Seward, Alaska, make an effort to stop here and see what the Alaskan sea life has to offer.  You won't be sorry.

Entirely worth the 9 hour drive from Fairbanks! This place is a gem! It is really an up-close experience. The sea birds fly around you in the outdoor cage (cuz you're IN the cage)! You can touch anemone and starfish in special tanks (with two fingers only, no grabbing)! Admission was VERY reasonable.
