This is the best coffee experience in town - they have daily coffee specials that are great on the pocketbook and will allow you to drink coffee from around the world. They have the best flatbread pizza in town which they will heat it up in their nice big wood-burning oven. Scones, reindeer sausage breakfast pockets, muffins, brownies, etc... Love it!

No power outlets for use by customers (ie no way to charge a laptop), a super long wait for a cup of tea and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie (tasty!) and snooty staff. I won't be back.

ACRC's roast not only blows away any local roast in Alaska (Which isn't that hard to do, since North Pole Coffee's Black Gold tastes like charcoal), but frankly most roasting operations outside Alaska.   The owner travels the world, buying fair trade and shade grown beans to craft to perfection back in Fairbanks.

And if that wasn't enough, there are many delicious treats and sandwiches waiting for you to eat them all.   Or my personal favorite, gourmet pizzas ready to be roasted piping hot in a brick pizza oven.

No matter if you are a local or just visiting Fairbanks, its worth the stop to sample the fare and pick up some delicious espresso.  It was my wife's staple in college, and now mine too.  If I was rating just the 'friendly' service, i might back off on a few stars, but I guess not everyone is perfect.

Haven't eaten here and I usually just get regular coffee. What I didn't like was the really bad wifi.

Went here for coffee after a mediocre breakfast experience elsewhere, and man was I disappointed that I didn't have room for more food! Everything looked delicious, which is uncommon for Fairbanks.

We didn't go here for breakfast because judging from reviews I assumed it was "only" a coffeeshop. I was wrong. They have pastries, sandwiches, delicious looking breakfast calzones or empanadas or whatever your culture calls them, pizza, and more.

It's in a strip mall, but so is everything else in this town. It's definitely worth a stop.

Absolutely fantastic little place. A good amount of seating means that as long as you're not coming at "rush hour" you'll get a table. That being said, the line can get pretty long. I've always been really impressed with the amount of food offered here (sweet and savory) as well as the quality of the food. I have had their quiche with kielbasa in it, and their beef empanada which was really delicious! Vegetables and brisket in curry with raisins wrapped up in a dough pocket; super tasty. The fruit smoothie was nothing special. A nice place to come sit and do work or meet up and chat with friends.

If it was only the coffee itself I was reviewing it would be 5 stars, it is exceptional and a little piece of heaven.  The wide variety of home made dessert items and pastries tempts me every time I go.  I love the atmosphere.  However it is not without its downfalls.  Everything I go there is a swarm of flies in the seating area, which is gross.  And they are over priced, especially if you want to substitute something.  For example, I wanted a hot chocolate with half and half instead of milk, they wanted to charge me the same price as a mocha breve- but if it was the same price, wouldn't that mean the coffee which would be the only difference between the hot chocolate and the mocha not worth anything?  Also they are slow as sludge when it comes to making the coffees and the cashiers are always rude.  Especially the gay guy in the wife beater shirt.

I have lived in Fairbanks for about ten years and I know about the cafes. ACRC is okay.

The coffee at ACRC is okay but plenty of other places in Fairbanks that have better or about the same coffee or breakfast. The customer service could be way better. The flat bread pizzas are unique and tasty. Not really a breakfast place for me but a early lunch. I like to go around 11am when they start baking the flat breads and the place is not packed yet. They make the flat breads once during the day. So if you come around 6pm the selection is limited and the pizzas are a little dried out. They bake the flat bread pizzas in a wood stove that is visible to customers.

The coffee at ACRC can sometimes be too bitter for my taste. Lu Lu's serves Kaladi Brothers coffee, which, is constantly good. Kaladi Brothers coffee is a local roaster from Anchorage. The College Coffee House serves North Pole Coffee that is good as well. One reviewer mentions North Pole Coffee's Black Gold that is definitely not for the faint of heart, but I love their blend called St. Nickerdoodle.

Customer service at ACRC is terrible. The employees are probably overworked and underpaid. ACRC is busy in the mornings and lunch time, and it's not surprising that they have no sitting and a long line at lunch. There is the drive thru but it's usually a long wait. Customers complain about baked goods and flat breads and the employees are rude. They have a nice sign by the register that reads, " no refunds...so choose wisely."  Once I went with a friend to get some coffee at ACRC, and when we left the cafe a employee yelled out, " I hope you enjoy your shitty coffee." This was because my friend had complained about the coffee, but the complaint was made months ago. Another time, a customer complained that he just wanted plain oatmeal cookies for a change, they offered oatmeal cookies with extra stuff like nuts or dried fruit. A simple request, I thought, but the employees were rude. After the customer left, the employees gathered said some rude comments about that particular customer in front of me and the other customers waiting in-line. Really awkward situations and I have more to share. They seem to take complaints personally even though the complainants are not abusive.

They have free wireless, which, is a good thing. Few outlets for the laptops. Used to be that customers could not plug laptops into outlets, but I think they recently changed that.

I used to live in Fairbanks. ACRC turned into the center of my coffee soaked universe. Great espresso, great drip coffee and tasty beans. The sweat treats and baked are amazing. Not the place for a heavy lunch or dinner but the savor items are awesome. The flat bread is awesome. It is like pizza but there is a Pizza Hut in the same shop complex so I don't think they can sell "pizza."

This place has been my bench mark coffee shop in my world travels. Only the best Seattle coffee shops seem to beat it.

MMMMMM  so good.  The best damn coffee.
When we leave town on vacation, we always take a pound of their coffee with us.  The bakery is excellent too, and I'm a baker.
The wood fired pizza  is yummy.
It gets real busy at lunch time, so there could be a line.

I am very hard to please when it comes to coffee, and coffee shops, so believe me when i say, this is the best. this place has some of the finest coffee i have ever had. the roasts are so smooth, that you can't help scream in delight. to top it off they have amazing wood oven baked goodies on the savory end, and sweet pies and cakes that will make your head spin.
