I've been here before, but when my friend suggested this place for lunch last week, I had no idea what she was talking about. When we walked in, I immediately recognized the counter and decor. I came here for breakfast a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time ago.
Last week, I tried the chicken salad sandwich and it was sooo good! Hearty pieces of chicken along with basil, celery and mayo (and more things, I'm sure, but I can't remember a week later) served on a sourdough bread and a side lentil, barley salad of some sort (my friend said the side salad always changes). It was a gorgeous day out, so I ordered a refreshing iced tea with my lunch. It was perfect. Service was good and I remember dreaming about the sandwich the next day, so I KNOW I will be back again.
Went in for breakfast, the place was crowed. We sat at the bar and had a great view of the kitchen, not very impressive. It felt dirty... dirt, dirty, dirty. I sucked it up and ordered an omelet and my wife the french toast. Then the wait began. The food took forever to arrive. When it did I found the omelet to be quite good. The french toast on the other had tasted like it was made of day old bread. Not so nice. I couldn't help but think about the condition of the kitchen while eating. Which needless to say detracted quite a bit from the experience.
I see no need to go back to Alana's, and never will.
I dig you, Alana, I really do. I've never been here for breakfast but lunch is more than pretty good.
5 stars for the fabulous Ice Tea and well rounded meals. - 1/2 star for lack of fresh meat sandwiches (who likes chicken salad, anyway?), and minus another 1/2 star for the portion size to price ratio. Let me say, I am definitely for the portion cutting movement but if I am getting a small quiche and 8 pieces of fruit I want to pay for a small quiche and 8 piece of fruit.
All of this said, the quiche is damn good (different variations every day), the various salads I've had were also very good.
Good service. Cool diner bar seating option - if you happen to be alone, you'll have a cool single option.
Breakfast ends at 11! Make sure you get there on time (:
I absolutely adore breakfast foods, but I'm not such a big fan of pancakes. I've always felt that they were much too large, too boring. I was pleasantly surprised by Alana's swedish oatmeal pancakes. The oatmeal offers a different texture, and with the jam on the side, they were kind of amazing (: I felt like I was having dessert.
We also ordered a California scramble that came with delicious potatoes and a freshly baked coffee cake on the side.
Small, cute place with friendly workers and great food.
Decided to try Alanas for brunch on a Sunday based on Yelp reviews and a couple friends recos. Didn't arrive until 12:15 and were lucky that it had thinned out. We both really liked the options on the menu.
My husband ordered the Alaska scramble with smoked salmon, spinach and cream cheese and I ordered the Mediterraen scramble with prosciutto, artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil and provolone cheese. They came with homefries and our choice of bread. I noticed when I walked in that they had specialty scones. I got the fig scone and my husband got the almond, poppyseed scone. We also had heard a lot about the Swedish Oatmeal pancakes and of course had to try them as well. If it sounds like a lot of food, it was! I took a bite out of my scone, gave a bite to my husband and took the rest home so I would have room for the pancakes.
Everything was really good. We both liked our scrambles and home fries. The home fries were nicely seasoned and not greasy. Also liked our scones. The pancakes were delicious but we both wish they had been cooked alittle longer. They were a bit mushey!
Alanas is on the pricey side for breakfast/brunch but their food is of high quality. The wait staff was also very nice and attentive. We'll come back again!
We had breakfast here with some friends on a Sun. afternoon.
Since it's a tiny place, we were told it would be a 20 min wait.
I think we were actually seated in a a bit less time.
The guy that came around to take drink orders was unpleasant, and impatient.
Once we got our drinks, we had to flag him down anytime we wanted a refill, and he seemed annoyed each time.
Give me a break, it's not asking very much to expect your coffee, waters, and tea to be refilled during brunch.
We really wanted to try the oatmeal pancakes, but we needed protein too, so we decided to share two dishes.
The oatmeal pancakes were really good, and very filling. Seriously, they kept us full for many hours.
The scramble was incredibly bland!!! The potatoes and scone that came with it were tasty, but the scramble was a major disappointment.
I couldn't get over how flavorless it was.
If I was in the neighborhood I might return, although with so many brunch places nearby, I'd probably try somewhere else first.
I wish I could give this place a 3.5, but since I can't, I had to round down.
The drinks guy was just too surly, and the scramble lacking too much.
My husband and I come here on the weekends. Everyone is very friendly and food, while not a whole lot of choices, it is pretty tasty.
Their pancakes are good and their omelets are good as well. The wait is not that long.
I went to Alana's this morning (10 AM Saturday). There was no wait and we were seated immediately and I had my coffee within 30 seconds of asking...wow...fast!
I got the Mediterranean Scramble minus the prosciutto. It was good and the potatoes were nice as well. I did not say "OH MY GOD this is so good!" But I did say "MMM...it's nice."
My favorite part of Alana's was the coffee and the coffee cake. Both were delicious. Our waitress was really sweet. She came by at just the right times...never too much...never too little.
I want to come back to try the pancakes - I saw someone get them and they looked good! Enjoy!
This place is our favorite place for breakfast. We eat here almost every weekend. The food is excellent and portioned perfectly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And best of all, as every other restaurant in the area is raising prices and cutting quality, this place has remained steady! Is that why it is packed to the gills in the morning?
Are you there for lunch?...then make sure you get the best Iced Tea in the Bay Area. There for breakfast?...ask what's on special, and try the Huevos Rancheros on Saturday. The pancakes are top too.
Alana's is the best!
It was Saturday morning, which means the crowds are a little nuts, but we were seated within 10 minutes (even though we'd been told it would take 20 or so) at the cooking counter. This might not be for everybody, but I love watching cooks in action. The restaurant is tiny and densely packed, so you might know more than you can to about your dining neighbors. I've found the service generally pleasant; one waitress in particular is quite friendly and funny.
Their famous Swedish oatmeal pancakes are exactly as delicious as everyone says. They make for relatively healthy and guilt-free eating, too (that's not really true, but I try to convince myself of that, anyway). Their variety of egg dishes are all awesome. I've never tried all the breads they offer; I always choose the coffee cake, and I love it every time. The size of their coffee drinks are generous, and the orange juice is fresh. What more do YOU want from your brekkie?
Wow, what has happened here?
This place has gone so far downhill it is unbelievable! I used to be a regular several years ago, but now I urge everyone to stay away! Not only is it totally overpriced and the food very basic, but the entire staff has gotten on this tirade of kicking everyone out of their tables after 20 or 30 minutes!
Combine this formula with a very cramped dining room that lacks air conditioning and you have a recipe for customer revolt!
I thought perhaps my experience was unique, but after reading some other posts here, I see that the "hurry up and get out" is not an exception, but perhaps Chapter 1 in the Alana's Employee Handbook.
I will happily spend my dollars at a more deserving establishment.
Goodbye Alanas!
PS - Hope your rent goes up 2000% and you are gone soon!
I don't think I ordered the right dish seeing that my friend was raving about this place and the high Yelp reviews. i guess I gotta give it another shot.
It was boiling today so I was in the mood for something light which usually means rabbit food. I ordered the Spicy Thai Beef salad ($10.25) which somewhat hit the spot at the time. The spicy peanut dressing was good and the 4 pieces of focaccia bread that come with it was divine. But other than that, the beef and greens were run of the mill.
The service was excellent (despite getting the wrong plates at first) and very friendly and helpful. The place is small but homey and I love the different colored chairs at the bar.
Yeah. Real Food. Real People. Real Good.
Not an extensive menu - just a few good things - lil mexican flare but also have the standards. Its a comfort-breakfast kinda place - hard to find in the peninsula.
Everything I've had there is really good - though their famous coffee cake seems dry to me... but everything else is the goods!
Stacks is like Denny's compared to this place. Its tiny, so prepare to wait - but way better quality than those other bfast joints that serve powdered eggs and dry toast.
Do it.
What to do on a warm, sunny, Spring Saturday morning? Go out and get some breakfast. We headed toward Burlingame Ave., but haven't decided on where to go.
Went towards Alana's, and was told wait was only going to be 5 minutes. We can handle that. Got a table towards the front for the 3 of us (oldest was at a slumber party). This is a favorite among the Peninsula dwellers. Even a favorite for Congresswoman Jackie Speir, who we saw sitting in back enjoying breakfast with couple of her friends.
Usually the wife and I order something different from each other so we can try each other's plate. This time, however, we both wanted the Swedish Oatmeal pancakes. She ordered the short stack (2 pancakes) with bananas, and I ordered a full stack of 3 pancakes with poached cinnamon apples.
The youngest just wanted 2 scrambled eggs. This, with hot chocolate, and some Wicki Stix, she was happy.
It was busy, and our orders took a while, but they were hot when they came to the table. Instead of the cute little carafes of syrup, which were never enough for me, they brought our a full, large sized carafe full of syrup. Now that's what I'm talking about!
Love these pancakes, with their coarse, grainy texture of the oatmeal kernals. It's almost as if they took some cooked oatmeal, and poured a ladlefull on a griddle, only that it has something to hold it together. So good, and so filling.
Yes, I still think this is a "chick" place, but the menu items are well prepared, especially the pancakes.

A relatively small and narrow restaurant along Burlingame Avenue. Table are close together. All… Read more »
Where else can I have a nice sunday brunch other than Alana's? I live in South SF, so I come almost every week.
I love love their oatmeal pancake. I would recommend you to order 2 stacks instead of 3 because its very filling. I always share oatmeal pancakes (2 stack) and a side order of quiche with my BF. And we are both full and glowing. I believe that their apple juice is freshly squeezed because it tastes like what my mum used to serve everymorning when I was young. This is my favorite breakfast place, the perfect place to spend on sunny sunday morning. There is always wait on weekends, but it never takes more than 15 minutes.
We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The food was good- the eggs in my Florentine scramble were creamy and my husband seemed to enjoy his Eggs Benedict. Service fast and friendly, but the prices seemed high for breakfast and the place was a bit cramped.
Always a pleasure here! The oatmeal pancakes are amazing and so many other plates will wow you. The team working behind the counter is fantastic to watch and such hard workers! The wait can be long on sunday but not too bad if 2 people. The specials are always excellent and the take home pancake mix is a great gift!
Order: Florentine Scramble w/Coffee Cake, Oatmeal Pancakes
This place has such a homey feel to it! If I lived closer, it would be an easier to get up in the morning for a breakfast/lunch/brunch place like this around. The workers are excellent and friendly as well. I like to pop some questions when I'm ordering to see what's hot and what's not and our waitress was more than helpful.
Aside from that the food we got was all top grade. Like everyone else, the oatmeal pancakes are the highlight of this place. My omelet was good, but subpar to the pancakes which is probably the only thing keeping me from granting this place a 5th star. The portions are good for the price and don't weigh down on you as much throughout the rest of the day either ;)
[Pros]
+ nice, homey atmosphere
+ friendly servers and waiters/waitresses
+ good portions for price
+ pretty good food all around
+ oatmeal pancakes!!!
We were looking for a nice place to have breakfast on our way to the airport (with time to spare) and my wife remembered hearing good things about Alana's. We nearly missed it because it's such a narrow building, but once we did the double take it was a wonderful place to find.
Alana's is unpretentious, has great, friendly service, and delicious meals. I had the Mediterranean scramble while Kim had a fruit plate. Both were delicious. Kim had great peppermint tea, and even my decaf coffee (doctor's orders :-) tasted good.
This is one of our breakfast spots on sunday's! I love the menu and absolutely love the home made scones and coffee cake. The scones are my preference, esp. with all the yummy flavors they have, chocolate chip and mango. Food is always fresh, service is always with a smile. And we have never had to wait for a table, we do go pretty early in the am though. The atomosphere is lively but not too loud. We can still carry on our conversation at the table with no problem. Parking is awesome on a sunday morning! Good variety. Prices are IMO a little high, but hasnt stopped us from coming here!
Alana's is one of my favorite breakfast places in the Peninsula. Small, unpretentious, a hole in the wall...
I have to be honest, I don't particularly think they make the greatest potatoes but their scrambles and omelettes are generous and good. be sure to try whatever scones they made that day. They are fresh and delicious. Every dish comes with potatoes and a big serving of fresh fruit.
Oh, and dishes are not greasy at all, at least the 50-ish or so times I've been there. And anyway...what's with the war on fat people?! Show me someone who doesn't eat fat and I I'll show you someone who cannot do a pull up or lift any significant amount of weight (his or hers included). But I digress :-)
Now the absolute best item they have is the oatmeal pancakes, so much so that since I now live 2 counties away I buy the mix (they sell it too) to make it at home.
I've passed Alana's several times when going down Burlingame Avenue but never thought about stepping inside on my own. I am more of a Nini's or Christie's type of person when eating by myself.
Linn H. visited the area awhile back and I had the pleasure of trying out Alana's. I was quite impressed.
No wait at all for a Sunday morning yet the place seemed full. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. The service was extremely polite and accommodating. The waitress checked on us several times during the meal (big plus).
I had the cheese scramble, the portions were just right. Not too much and not too little which is something I like. Some places give you too little food for high prices and others just give you an enormous amount of food. Not here. I left feeling full, not bloated or starving.
Alana's boasts about their coffee cake, now I am not a connoisseur of coffee cake but I found it to be a bit dry. This was my first time but I did not let it sour my experience. I enjoyed the service and food overall.
I think this place is so cute. When you walk in the whole vibe of this place makes you feel very comfortable. If It's a hot day it kinda sucks cause it feels like an oven. haha. But besides that it's adorable.
When you walk in, you are greeted with nice waitors/waitresses to seat you. All their little tables are nicely placed with white table cloths and vibrant colored placemats.
The menu is very clear cut and straight to the point. They offer eggs(cooked anyway you like it), bacon, pancakes, quiche, salads, sandwiches, and many desserts. This place has a pretty healthy menu.
I ordered a Spicy Beef Thai salad with spicy peanut dressing.
The salad was freshly washed, with freshly grilled beef on top, and the spicy peanut dressing tied it all together.
After enjoying my flavorful salad, I topped off the rest of my meal with a piece of steamy hot fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. AHHHHHH it was so good! Oh man. I'm definitely gonna go back. This place is great.
I'm so sick of Stacks and I don't really understand why people love their breakfast. It's alright, don't get me wrong. I love breakfast, I could eat it all day. But I hate boring breakfast. Boring as in... Denny's breakfast sausages, greasy eggs that I can make at home, and sides of pre-cut melons. If I'm going somewhere for breakfast, I want something more than what I could do myself at home, even if it's just atmosphere.
Alana's is a cute little (REALLY little) breakfast place, lots of personality... so small that I saw my waitress and chef chowing down in the kitchen in between waiting tables.
I loved the coffee cake and rye bread (super fresh...I think the bread is from Le Boulanger?). But the steel-cut oatmeal goes for $4.50 (kinda pricey for the tiny portion of apple-flavored, watery oatmeal). And for 70 cents at my cafeteria at work, I can get the same amount of better quality oatmeal.
I need a little more than coffee cake and pre-purchased breads to wow me. 2 stars until I try the other entrees.
2 stars sound a bit harsh when you look at it in comparison to 5, but if it just means ,"Meh" then "meh" it is because I have experienced better and I'll be happy to go back to those other happy breakfast places.
I may be a bit biased because I've had such awesome Swedish treasures back home in Chicago where there is a small Swedish community that serves up authentic traditional breakfasts that I can't pronounce even with Rosetta Stone but for a place who serves Swedish pancakes and lingonberry jam to not serve limpa toast? Sigh, utter disappointment.
I had the Alaskan scramble which came with potatoes, a piece of honeydew and orange and I opted for the coffee cakes since so many people raved about it. I see now the only reason I would opt for the coffee cake is because there really isn't any other good choice out there. Salmon shouldn't be served together with cheddar cheese in any way shape or form and I was expecting something lighter with more vegetables but all I got was a sad lump of eggs with more yellow on it.
The space is tiny and I see how there could be a long wait on the weekends. Be patient and you might squeeze in to get a never ending cup of coffee and a dry coffee cake. The bar seating is more spacious than a table funny enough and your server is more attentive there also it seems.
They also serve ketchup in the little paper cups that you also get at an In' n' out. That's just odd and cheap in presentation form. I'm paying $11 for a tiny Dixie cup of lingonberry too? Ha, I laugh at you Alana's for your attempt at being what you're not. No wait, I feel sorry for you. No wait, I feel worse for me for dining at your restaurant.
Alana's used to be a great little place for brunch, however in my opinion it's gone downhill recently.
I had the eggs benedict special today, and the sauce was quite gritty and tasteless.
Also, I was very upset that the waitress asked my group to give up our table because there were other parties waiting. It was extremely rude considering our plates were cleared only 2 minutes beforehand, and my friend had not even finished his glass of juice yet.
I personally waited over 30 minutes to for a table, and as my group walked out, I noticed that Alana's had more than enough room to accommodate the last few people waiting outside the door.
As of today I can say Alana's lost five repeat customers. And I will no longer recommend it to anyone else.
One of my favorite breakfast spots in the peninsula. Known for their Oatmeal and Pecan pancakes, I have tried almost everything on the menu without being disappointed. The real maple syrup and fruit capote sent my insulin levels through the roof !
For all of you that show up hung over, there can be a bit of a wait on Sat/Sun mornings so make sure to have your shades and plenty of Tylenol. Alana's is quite small (or quaint) but def. beats other breakfast spots like Denny's or Stacks hands down.
This is by far one of the best places for breakfast on the peninsula. Beats Stacks by a mile. I've never visited the RWC location but hear it's better as the location in Burlingame is small (but cute).
The food is out of site - Mediterranean scramble, French Toast w/berries - hi, they make it with raisin cinnamon focaccia bread - and the best - omg - Martha's Oatmeal pancakes - get the short stack cause they're hearty. The staff is really awesome. They're constantly running but you never feel like they can't keep up with the demand of the incoming customers.
Great place, you'll enjoy it.
If you are searching for something quaint that feels cozy and friendly in the early morning of the week, this is the place to go. I definitely felt welcome by the staff, and the ambiance was wonderful.
Food -- this was my first time but will not be my last. The coffee is bottomless, and the breakfast menu looks wonderful (some healthy options as well as some good ol'-fashioned cookin' of home fries and eggs). I just had a bowl of oatmeal which had a nice mixture of fruit, walnuts, and cinnamon in it which I enjoyed very much with my coffee. The lunches consist of sandwiches and salads, but I was also interested in the options available (from tuna to spicy Thai as well as Greek, spinach, etc).
Ambiance -- this place is tiny but the minimalistic decor works wonderfully to pull you in and to create a cozy and friendly space. The soft colors add some life as well (yellow, washed-out orange and green). I would recommend sitting at the breakfast bar to watch the cooks work in their small, bustling area behind the breakfast bar. Or sit near the back to avoid street noise...If you enjoy sitting outside, Burlingame Avenue is a wonderful place to soak up the sun and people-watch.
I can imagine this cafe gets very busy on weekends, but on a weekday in the morning, there was no wait, great service, and plenty of regulars to make me believe that Alana's really has a special something that pulls people back.
i was quite surprised to find that we didn't have to wait in line (err, wait at all) for brunch today (saturday, around noonish) but i guess we may have beat the crowd and maybe the hot weather kept people indoors.
i went here with my brother and mom who i was dropping off at SFO -- who knew this part of burlingame existed? (i clearly need to cross the bay more often.) so close to the airport and a good way to spend some time before a flight.
anyways. prompt and friendly service, but the food was excellent. i got their oatmeal pancakes (get the short stack -- 3 was too much!) with lingonberries. a most wonderful combination. i've never had oatmeal pancakes before, but uhh, yeah, i guess it tastes and feels like what it sounds like--imagine a pancake with large-ish oatmeal flakes in it. ugh. writing this review i'm totally craving it again!
the only meh part was the side of chicken apple sausages. they were umm, teeny-weeny. i uhh, like my sausages plumper and bigger, thanks!
so yes. next time i'm in the area around breakfast or brunch time, i'm stopping back! oh. except maybe in the summer: it didn't look like there was A/C and the only form of ventilation was a series of ceiling fans that just pushed warm air around?
Read a lot of good reviews for this place, so we decided to give their breakfast a try. I ordered a Florentine Scramble which had eggs, Italian sausage, Spinach and cheese. My friend also ordered a scramble (Mediterranean) with prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes and cheese. I thought my scramble was just okay. The Mediterranean scramble was good. The coffee cake, which the waitress raved about, was a huge disappointment. It was like eating cardboard, dry, hard and flavorless. This place is pretty ordinary. I wouldn't go out of the way or wait in line to eat at this place.
Jason A and I came here for breakfast one early Sunday morning. I was lured by the coffee cake. The decor was country style comfortable.
They had fresh squeezed orange juice. Always a plus! I ordered the Mediterranean scramble with coffee cake. It was delish! The coffee cake wasn't like Hobee's but it was still good albeit bit crumbly. Overall, good food but I still prefer the other style coffee cake.
Service was friendly. Located on the main drag surrounded by cute shops. Come here for good food and small-town like coziness!
Being a breakfast eater, I gave Alana's a try. Have to say it's a basic breakfast place. Good food, but nothing out of the ordinary. Service is pleasant and there wasn't a wait to get a table. I always wonder about places that don't have a line though.
I used to love this place, when I didn't pay as much attention to what I eat. In fact, if you don't care about a healthy diet this place is really tasty! They make delicious omelette's and breakfast scrambles.
All I can now order is the oatmeal, which they don't serve past 10am, and the fruit bowl.
BUT everything they make has dairy in it, everything. Even their "homemade" veggie burger is made with cheese. I mean isn't the point of a veggie burger to be healthy?
The spicy ice tea is amazing though, and worth 5 stars.
My great Chinese cousin Diane P. once mentioned Alana's, but I didn't pay much attention (sorry Diane) cause I rarely leave the City for breakfast, but this past weekend I was hanging out in the Peninsula and decided to spice things a bit and head to Burlingame for breakfast. Arrived at the place at around 12pm, added my name on the list and sat outside to wait. It was a nice day, so I was people watching (well, more like baby-stroller and dog watching), the wait was not bad, it was about 20 - 30 minutes.
The place is tiny and cute. The staff is super friendly, they are awesome actually, helpful and smiley. The quiche, oh Lord, the quiche was heaven! corn, tomato, olives and green chile.... it was perfection. I ordered Alaska scramble (cream cheese, spinach and smoked salmon) and my partner in crime ordered the farmer's garden (sauteed potatoes, mushrooms, scallions, cheddar and provolone with two poached eggs on top). After our first couple of bites we had to take a break and comment on our food, say a thank you prayer to the breakfast God, Alana's, Yelp and Diane P.
Trust me on this one, totally worth the 30 minute wait. Great place!
Don't get me wrong, I like Alana's. Food is very tasty, service is great, restaurant is clean but it I have to be in a health food mode to want to eat here.
My favorite item on the menu - nothing that I can remember
Least favorite - pancakes
best thing on the menu:
swedish oatmeal pancakes. ligonberries or bananas.
other highlights include california scrambled eggs, yogurt parfe: all kinds of really tasty fruit, and any of their sandwiches.
staff r friendly, this one lady is always really nice to me, asks me how i've been, all motherly and its not in a weird way cuz i've been going their for hella days.
its sad that they don't have soy milk or normal to-go boxes( i don't understand why this is, they're not all that expensive and i don't mind putting my leftover pancakes in a folded up paper plate all that much but sometimes i could use a sandwich to go and i know thats just not going to work)
but they still get 5 stars cuz they're the best (and kinda the only) breakfast place i'm enthusiastic about in the san mateo/burlingame area.
oh, and word of caution: they get BUSY sat and sunday mornings and expect to be squezing urself in, past tightly packed tables. this place was arranged with petit people in mind.
In my opinion, Alana's is one of the best breakfast places in Burlingame. Forget Stack's and their insanely large and obesity-provoking portions! Alana's is a cute and quaint restaurant, located right on Burlingame Avenue, and offers breakfast in very reasonable portions. Each breakfast platter gets a serving of homefries, a couple slices of fruit, and your choice between toast, a scone, or coffee cake. Flavors of scones vary everyday, but I was lucky to come on a day when they had lychee scones! I've never heard of lychee scones before, and upon first bite, I couldn't get enough! Dried lychees make the scone taste very exotic, but best of all, the scone was very light and not too buttery. The Mediterranean Scramble I ordered was delicious too.
Service is very friendly and food is served quickly. Although I appreciate the normal-sized portions, the prices are a bit high for what you get. I wouldn't suggest Alana's for very large groups either. Also keep in mind that you won't get seated until your entire party is present.
Good breakfast place in Burlingame, and definitely an acceptable alternative to Stack's given the insane lines there. It is a little cramped inside, but the service is stellar and the food is good too.
Yes this review is basically the same as Christie's.
I love the breakfast at Alana's!
Their ingredients are fresh, the hostess is very friendly, the servers are attentive, the coffee cake is moist and crumbly, and their swedish oatmeal pancakes are great. what's even better is their seasonal pumpkin pancakes. YUM! Their food is healthy but also very tasty!
Their eggs are poached well, their omelets are tasty and the chicken apple sausage...well, how could you go wrong with that one? their potatoes are seasoned well, not too salty, not burnt.
They do also have a lunch menu, but I wasn't attracted to it. (it's healthier than breakfast with just a few sandwiches and salads...)
