I hired Alan for my company training video project. I am so glad I did. Not only the video exceed our expectation, Alan made the entire production process rather painless. He gave us guidance whenever it is pertinent and remained very flexible with our requests. I will definitely hire Alan again for my future video projects.

We were on the fence about having a videographer because we really didn't want a big bulky video camera (or two) intruding on the intimacy of our day, so it ended up being the decision that involved the most research. Strangely, we couldn't find someone talented, affordable and nice. When we asked one videographer if we could choose our own background music, he said no, and when we told him that we'd like some say in the music he chose, he suggested that we go with someone else.
We had almost given up on videography. But then we found Alan, who is exceptionally talented and professional, as well as incredibly nice. He and his assistant used the Canon 5D, which looks like a regular camera, not a video camera, so nobody even knew they were filming (this made a big difference). He got beautiful shots throughout the day/night and really put his heart into the editing. Everyone who has seen our highlights video is amazed by the beauty of his storytelling, as well as by the high production quality of the film, including perfect audio. We have gotten pages worth of positive feedback about it from our guests. Also, the vimeo post got 400 views in about a week even though we only had 140 people at our wedding:
We are so glad we decided to hire a videographer and so so so so so glad that that videographer was Alan. We can't recommend him highly enough.

Simply amazing...probably the best way to sum up our experience with Alan Larsen films. Having just gone through the wedding process, we know that 5-star gushing reviews tend to lose some credibility, but we can't contain our enthusiasm. We highlight the most important things below and would highly recommend Alan Larsen Films.
Video: Out of this world. Not only did he capture the right moments and people, but he managed to condense them all into a 20 minute video (mind you we had a 3-day, multi-event Indian wedding). Best of all, Alan preserved the emotion and sentiment that my wife and I will want to re-live every time we watch the video. Our family and friends have all said that our wedding video was the best they've ever seen, and we would agree.
FYI Alan offers two styles, a standard video and a more film-like video. We wanted something that made us feel like we were in a movie, and Alan totally delivered. We are SO HAPPY with the final product but you can judge for yourself (link is below)
Turnaround: Everything was done within a month of the wedding which was much faster than what we were expecting. Throughout the entire editing process, Alan was very responsive and quickly made changes we requested (even the really annoying ones)
Pricing: Very reasonable. We researched a ton of videographers and Alan was the best value for the quality and after receiving our final product we wholeheartedly believe you will get WAY more than you pay for.
Crew: Professional, prompt and really fun and easy to work with. We are self-admittedly a picky, high-maintenance couple and the team was very patient, responsive and understanding.

One of the best full-service video companies I have had the pleasure to work with.
An extremely good value, although I fear that won't be for long- because Alan has been taking calls from bigger and bigger clients and film work and his resume is already pretty amazing (Tenacious D, USC film school, etc.)
Two things things stand out about Alan for me: 1) his professionalism (he's on time, his equipment is top-flight and up to the job, he edits with his head not his watch, and the stuff looks GOOD) http://alanlarsenfilms... . 2) Alan's personality. You might never be able to find a person who is more easy to get along with or more committed to your success.

Alan shot and edited of a standup comedy showcase I was in at the Ha-Ha Comedy Club in North Hollywood.
The quality is excellent and his editing is top-notch (it's especially difficult to do with comedy too!). The sound is great too (you hear every laugh!).
The comedy video he put together has been (and will continue to be) a great promotional tool.
Alan one of the best in the business. Hardworking and dependable. I highly recommend Alan Larsen Films for any and all video shooting, editing, and directing need. -

Alan was the videographer for our wedding in October and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He's friendly, professional, knows his stuff, and does an amazing job.
I found him on yelp in a last desperate attempt to find a videographer in Los Angeles who would shoot our wedding in a professional manner for a reasonable amount. After looking at what seemed like hours of poorly shot wedding video samples, Alan's work stood out as a personalized and true representation of a couple's wedding day which is what I wanted and what he gave us. Dealing with him was a pleasure, he's accommodating and very clear in describing the services he offers and the prices he charges. I'm so glad we found him and hope that this review helps others who are in need of a good videographer. -

Alan Larsen Films is a class act! He filmed our wedding at the Smog Shoppe last month and did a phenomenal job. He was so patient with my large bridal party and I am so grateful for that. Alan was fantastic! He filmed my outdoor wedding in Sept 2011. He was a total pleasure to work with and we LOVE our videos!!! We had a 3 to 4 minute highlight video set to our favorite song and my husband keeps calling it our music video :) The editing is fantastic and he captured everything we talked about. Everyone is so impressed!!
He also put together a film of excerpts from just our ceremony. It's so beautiful!! He really captured the mood and emotion of the moment. I love having the contrast of the ceremony and the fun wedding highlight video.
Honestly, before the wedding we were on the fence about having a professional video done. Especially after seeing so many cheesy wedding videos online. I am so grateful we came across Alan's website!! He is so talented and it really shows in his work. We went from not being sure if we wanted a video to having it be the best thing we came away with!!! -

Alan has provided outstanding videography for commercial and private use. His ability to capture the energy of the moment is especially pronounced, as we have used him for not only USC programs, but also USC Rec Sport partnerships with Nike. All parties are always impressed with his professionalism, discretion and exceptionally quick turn-around time for a finished product.

Alan just completed our destination wedding video, which was shot in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It was an Indian-American wedding, which was certainly more complicated than a traditional wedding. He did an absolutely amazing job of capturing not only the wedding festivities, but also all the other various events and activities we had during the week all of our guests were there.
The editing of the video was also incredible. He did a perfect job. It was touching, beautiful, artistic, and exactly what we wanted! Everyone who has seen the video has said it's the best wedding video they have ever seen. We love it!!
Alan is also extremely professional, friendly, and easy to work with...
I would highly recommend him to anyone.
