I was referred to Alan in San Francisco from my last agent in North Carolina. I was in a car wreck last week and I was still under my North Carolina State Farm insurance. I needed an agent out here to help me deal with everything, as well as sign me up for new California insurance so that I was able to get my brand new car.
I went in today to hand over the title to my old car and get my refund check for the total worth of the car and sign up for insurance in California. He was so helpful, and handled everything so fast. He was very informative on what I needed to do. He even told me he wanted to give me the absolute best deal possible as I've been a loyal customer of State Farm for almost 9 years. I was able to pick up my brand new car today thanks to Alan's help, and I'm looking forward to continue working with him as my insurance agent out here in San Francisco. -

We have been clients of Alan and before that -- his Dad -- for 25 plus years. Well there was a brief spurt where I tried to save money and went with a no name/no office insurance (Wawanesa) that was based in San Diego. MISTAKE!!!! I had been rear-ended on the Highway 101 by an uninsured motorist and had severe pain running down my legs such that I needed chiropractic care. After about 7 weeks of chiropractic visits, Wawanesa started threatening that they weren't going to reimburse me and insinuating that I was faking the pain.
Well, after a year of that nonsense, I crawled back to Alan and State Farm very appreciatively and have always had Alan as my advocate. We've had fender benders over the years -- times when we were or weren't at fault. It always went smoothly. Thanks to Alan and Shirley, his long-time staff person.
I know State Farm isn't the cheapest -- but I've learned first hand that you get what you pay for. -

I have been a long time client of Alan's and cannot recommend both he and his staff highly enough.
We were recently unfortunate enough to have a flood in our home. We were very concerned the insurance company would try to avoid paying any costs they could. Thanks to Alan - and, in all fairness, State Farm in general - this was absolutely not the case. They treated us right. Period.
Alan is always ready to help with questions or concerns, patiently explaining options and never pushing. If service and a fair price are what you're after, give Alan and his team a call. You will not be disappointed. -

My father has been a client of Alan's father, and now Alan, for almost 30 years. Naturally, I signed up for auto insurance here when I started driving, and later got my home policy here when I bought my house. Now, I have to admit, I was not always a loyal client. I have switched to other companies to save a few bucks, but ultimately found that no company has given me the exceptional service that I get from Alan and his staff. Everyone is friendly, responsive and professional. Call them now - you'll be happy that you did. Oh, and ask for Sally!

I've been a long-time customer with Alan. He and his team always do a great job making the complex simple and can turn things around on a dime. I've been through several auto accidents with them and the service has always been first-rate. Plus Alan's such a nice guy! Highly recommended.

I recently transferred my out of state policies to Alan's office. The office is very conveniently located across from the Whole foods at California and Franklin. More importantly, all of the employees I have interacted with have been very helpful and friendly, especially Caroline. If I have a question or problem, I usually email her and receive a response almost instantaneously, which is awesome. Also, my rates are very comparable to what I had in the great state of Texas.

I've been using Alan for 2 years. I moved to the city in 2008 and before that had always used discount / online insurance companies. And I gotta say.. I love having an agent. I love that there's one person I can call to ask questions.. We talked quite a bit about different things over the years, earthquake, umbrella, etc. And so far I'm super happy with Alan and State Farm. Everything's been great!

After nearly 30 years with Alan and, before Alan's time, his father, it's time to write a note in praise of an outstanding insurance agent. Any time I have needed anything related to my insurance (I have both home and auto), Alan and his staff have been right on it with excellent, speedy, professional attention.. There may be someone, somewhere, who is as good, but there is no one better. Highly recommended.

My Vespa was recently damaged. So I took it to the shop for an estimate and repairs after contacting my friendly insurance agent, Alan Chan. Within days, the adjustor had arrived to assess my bike, a check was sent out, and I'm with wheels again. The process was SO FAST that I'm still feeling like it was a dream. And the best part, my monthly payments weren't affected one bit! Nor was my deductible! Alan and his team, as well as all the people at State Farm who worked with me, were extarordinarily efficient!!!! They come highly recommended!

Geico who? I actually save money staying with Alan & his team than switching to the competition. If you don't believe me, go price it out yourselves....
Caroline has been very helpful and when you call in, there is a live person on the other end that takes the call. No automated system here! -

Caroline has been really helpful and friendly. She's really knowledgeable and patient with us and willing to go out of her way. It's my wife's first car and Caroline has made it easy to buy insurance. Way to go Caroline! Keep up the good work! I will definitely recommend my friends and family to this office.
