Unfortunately I have yet to ever make it to the actual Alamo Tamale storefront. Once I do... I'll be sure to update my review!
However, every year when Rodeo rolls around I cannot wait to have my annual Alamo Tamale binge. For years they have had a booth located at the back end of Reliant Arena (inside) serving their famous tamale pies. 6 tamales removed from their husks, smothered in chilli and cheese, then topped off with pickled jalapeños and onions... It is pure heaven!! -

The tamales are great! I'm very picky and will only eat my mom's tamales, but these actually can be compared to my mom's tamales. which is a good thing cuz my mother lives far away. The tacos r great too and the red salsa and cheese are really good with ur tamales.

very good and cheap breakfast tacos. tamales are my favorite in town and they are made fresh on the premises. they are smallish with minimal masa so you can actually taste the pork filling.
i come by here and pick up 5 or 6 dozen to go for super bowl parties. it's an easy and cheap way to provide awesome food to house guests without spending all day in the kitchen or breaking the bank. rice, beans, chips, and queso are also available.
this place only has some tables outside under a covered area. it's best to pick up food to-go. -

Great selection and excellent taste! The tortillas are fresh and edible by themselves. Recently though the tacos seem to have shrunk and the price has gone up. Still better than Taco Cabana though. Be prepared to wait in line if you go in the morning, it's a popular place.

I love this place! We live in the neighborhood so we get breakfast tacos there almost every weekend! Their tamales are awesome too. This is a definate grab and go place because their is not much seating (all outside) and there is usually a line but they are super fast.
