After trying several times to grab a meal here (they have slightly odd hours, call ahead), I finally found myself sitting down with three of the pickiest eaters in the Alamo/Danville area.

In one corner we have a vegan, the other corner a vegetarian, and to my right we have someone who has sworn off pasta and potatoes for 40 days. Because nature is balance, I found myself there - the guy who enjoys veal, foie gras, and the tears of snotty little children. Surprisingly enough, there was something on the menu at Alamo Creek that we could all enjoy!

The restaurant itself is dimly-lit and romantic, without trying too hard. It's a great place to take a date, or to just grab a casual meal with friends, and then sit back for an hour or two to enjoy conversation and a bottle or two or three of wine (Great Prices!)

The food itself was good, with decent-sized portions for everyone. My girlfriend and I started with the Spinach dip appetizer. A tasty concoction of wilted spinach, yogurt, and garlic. As I previously mentioned, everyone enjoyed their respective dish. Mine was the special of the night Pot Roast. They were generous with the portions.  Did I mention they had great prices?

With the good food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff, I'm sure to make the walk again to this hidden gem.

Do try the Lamb or Sea Bass
Do stay away from the Camelot Shiraz.

Great food and prices. Ambiance in the main dining is personal and the patio in the rear is very inviting, especially when you feel like being outside. The wine selection is awesome, and it went well with the NY Steak. Chef is doing an awesome job!

Great little cafe right in Alamo on Danville Blvd, the food is superb and the prices are even better. I couldn't believe that 3 people ate and drank plenty of wine for $60. If you are a carnivore, then you must get the beef kabob. Reservations are helpful as they do fill up but are more accommodating with the addition of the back dining room and patio.
