Patty and Michael are amazing!!! They're always super helpful and friendly. I'm in and out within 5 minutes. Alamo overall is cheap and reliable. This is my go-to rental car company.

The best experience in car rental to date. Fast, no hassle (especially when returning the vehicle.) As an added bonus, we were upgraded from an economy class vehicle to a luxury convertible at no extra charge because we had to wait 5 minutes while the economy vehicles were being washed. (!!)
I will be renting cars from Alamo/National in the future. -

service is pretty slow but friendly... gave us a free upgrade... parking lot is a lil inconveniently located all the way at the top...
car dents kinda overlooked so be careful to check before u leave the lot! -

After scouring all the leading car rental companies, Alamo gave me the best deal for the same car, for the same amount of days etc. Contrary to popular belief, Budget Car Rental is not a budget company whatsoever! Budget quoted me $600 more than Alamo which is just absurd! Now, we'll have to wait and see how good the service is (I failed to mention that this was for rental in Hawaii -- the Budget Rental in the Bay Area was actually the best rate when compared to other similar rental car companies -- difference between the companies were minimal ranging from $9-$25).

Quick easy and the best rate in town. I searched all around and Alamo had the best rates. They also allow you to drop off at different locations no hassle. We're in need of another rental again this month and plan on renting again.

Charges to add a spouse. I've always rented from other companies who told me a spouse can automatically drive for free. They may seem cheap, but they're not with an extra $100 charge for the week...

Abysmal. I just spent the worst three hours of my life waiting for a car. At the Bush st. Alamo.
This place is the fifth circle of hell.
I don't know what is worse - the fact that for the majority of the time there was one person working the counter while his coworkers played grab-ass, or the fact that he took twenty minutes relentlessly selling up insurance to each customer.
I will hear this guys trying to scare european tourists about "losing their key's and maybe owing $300" in my nightmares.
There were ten people in front of me in line at 10:00am. At 12:15 I still didn't have a car, and the line had grown and grown. Alamo HAS to know these people are coming - each of them had reservations!
Then, of course, in the garage, my car was "still being washed." Give me a break.
If i hadn't already paid for the d*&^* car on priceline, I would have walked out after the first half hour, when I hadn't advanced one single place in line. I will NEVER EVER EVER return to this place, or to alamo (when I complained to them they mocked me for using priceline, as if priceline knew they'd take 3 hours to provide a car). I will also NEVER bid on car from priceline again, for fear i get stuck in a similar pit of dispair.
Shame on all the parties involved. -

This is for the SFO facility. The car smelled, overly deodorized, upholstery needed shampooing. When I returned it, I left my cell phone on the seat. Realizing it, i went back 15 minutes later, and it was gone. The manager says they never had an experience like this before. Highly doubtful. Even he agreed it ended up in an employee's hands. They knew what they were doing, the phone had been turned off so it couldn't be traced. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens a lot at the facility. My Alamo/National renting days are over.

Probably the most friendly rental car experience I've ever had.
