Review from Dan S.
Pleasant Hill, CA
Mike and Scott have always been helpful to me. I recently purchased a Bike and helmet there for my little girl.(4Yr.) They didn't have the bike I wanted but they did go out of there way to get it in time for her birthday!! then Scott took time away from a rush job he was working on to properly fit my girl with a new Helmet and make sure it was adjusted correctly!!!
I try to stop here when ever I need a new part . Yes I can find stuff on line a little cheaper but I will forgo the extra +-2% for GREAT customer service like this!!
This is one good old fashion home town bike shop!! It's in the same location as Sunshine Bike Co. Where my dad bought me my first bike!! -

Thank you Alamo Bicycles for helping me every single time my BOB stroller gets a flat. The super sweet guy with the big a$$ earrings does not so much as roll an eye when I roll up and ask him to pump up my tires. I'm sure he deals with the "typical mom" who shows up with her long nails needing help. Seriously I almost expect to get attitude when I roll up with a STROLLER vs. some ultra cool dirt bike, cruiser, or road bike?!?! But they're always super friendly and happy to help. Yesterday they installed the "super slime" so hopefully I won't have to bug them for a while!

The guy working there was to total jerk. I went in there just to look while I was waiting for my laundry to dry and he told me to leave, since he knew I wasn't interested in buying anything in there today. How rude. Some retailers just don't have a clue on how to be friendly in this recession. I haven't ever been asked to leave a retail store before. I was shocked.

The owner was great here! I got a flat while riding and didn't have my wallet. He said "no problem, whenever is fine". Really great store, reasonable prices, and as you can see outstanding customer service.

They took a bike I bought from a friend. It hung on a hook in my carport for seven years. Dusty, dirty - almost a piece of junk. They restored it to life cheaply, efficiently, and with with fine friendly service. Great place!

Nice smaller shop....
I haven't ridden a bicycle in a few years. I got my Specialized Enduro out and took bart from SF to Walnut creek to ride the Iron Horse Trail from Walnut Creek Bart to Dublin Bart.
Oh boy, I really shoul've inspected everything before setting out. My left crank arm loosened, I could only tighten it down with a key and re-tighten every so often.
I saw their sign riding by and stopped. As I leaned my bike against the rack I unscrewed the bolt in question.
I walked in, needing to purchase an item for my camelback anyway. They didn't have it, but as I asked for a tool to tighten my crank, he already had the tool ready and handed it to me.
He didn't charge me, or give me a hard time by lending out an expensive Park tool.
As I glanced around, they did have a nice selection of bikes, and a very well stocked shop room. Looks like they have all the tools to get the job done.
Thank you Very much! -

Great store, good service. I've only bought a few accessories for my bike there but the guys are really willing to help you or even order something for you if necessary.

One of the only bike shops I'll go to in the east bay. Most shops around this area are geared toward road bikes, not this one. They seem to cater to all type of riders and budgets. They are very knowledgeable and willing to help you get want you want. I went in looking for a retro style bike light, but they were out of stock. They were more happy to order it, even without me pre-paying for it! These days, that's almost unheard of! They made me a customer for life with that transaction.

Excellent customer service. I brought in my bike that needed service badly. They replaced my tires and tubes and did a complete tune-up and had the bike back to me in just two days. When I had to bring it back for a couple of minor adjustments they were more than happy to help me. They will definitely see me again.

Hands down my favorite shop in the east bay. These guys are really knowledgable and helpful. They might not always have the stuff I need, but I'd way rather order a part from a local shop with great people than wait for hours at a Performance Bikes just to get helped by someone way less interested or knowledagble ...and then still have to order something. Only shop I'll go to anymore.

Very clean and well organized. Well stocked components and parts for a small shop. Smallish selection of bikes but good quality. Staff very helpful. Bought a small part and they threw in another for free while answering all my questions without hesitation.
