Review from Mitsi M.

I have a friend (it isn't me, I swear) that gets into a lot of trouble. He is an insane crazy person. His crimes are "victimless" and self-destructive. I could go into this in depth but it makes me sad. For the purpose of this review, I'll call my friend Wacky McDoo.
One night I came home and the SO told me Wacky called. Wacky was in 850 Bryant and wanted me to bail him out. And then I received a phone call from Wacky, collect.
I thought when you were in jail you only got one phone call, but apparently there is a phone booth in your cell where you can call people collect until they give in and come bail you out.
After much deliberation, I decided to bail Wacky out. His bail bond was $5,000 and I had to pay 10%. I went to Aladdin because I like genies. Jose R. Paez (Mgr, 2001) was patient with me. I paid the $500 bond and took as many Aladdin pens, matchbooks and other swag I could fit in my purse. I still have all this crap in my desk drawer at home.
Wacky McDoo was released about 2 hours later. He showed up at my home at 3am in a cab. He didn't have any money and the driver was pissed. Apparently Wacky had spent all his money at the liquor store getting liquored up. I paid the cab fare and Wacky disappeared into the night.
Wacky showed up for his court date so I didn't have to pay the $5,000. I was pleasantly surprised. I got my $500 back (from Wacky's mom). Wacky ended up doing community service for that particular crime. A few days later, Wacky McDoo got drunk, committed more crimes and is now serving 5-10 in Quentin.
