Still havent found a place with better chicken tikka masala.  So creamy and served to your desired level of 'heat'.

Now that they've expanded their space it feels like a legit restaurant.
Naan is ON POINT.  garlic, butter, plain....

the biryani and tala gohst are also calling me out right now.

I, along with most Yelpers, had Al Noor on my radar because of Eric Greenspan's recommendation of their garlic naan on the Best Thing I Ever Ate.  The problem was that I am rarely out in that part of town.  So when a few friends suggested we go indoor rock climbing at Hangar18 around the corner from Al Noor, I immediately thought of Al Noor and headed over there with my girlfriend after we finished climbing.

We started with the garlic naan (of course) and we both thought it was good.  Not life-changing good, but pretty good.

For our main course, we shared the Vegetable Biryani rice dish and the Chicken Tikka Masala.  The rice was good, though I probably wouldn't crave it anytime soon.  The Chicken Tikka Masala was quite tasty as was the curry.  I would recommend that.

All in all, it's not a bad place to eat at when you're in the area.

We left here disappointed :o( My husband and I looove Indian food and unfortunately, for us, "Al Noors" did not live up to the hype. We ordered chicken tikka masala, shrimp tikka masala, white rice, and garlic naan bread. We started off with their complimentary plate of sliced cucumbers and onions which came with a small pitcher of what looked like "Green Goddess" dressing. The sauce was good but not mind blowing.

The naan arrives first (before the entrees) and it's the size of a personal size pizza. Since we only paid $2.00 for it, I'm not going to complain about the size but the naan bread itself was undercooked. It had the texture of pita bread and there was nothing really special about it. The entrees arrived about 5 minutes later. I only ate the chicken tikka masala while my husband ate that and the shrimp tikka masala. The curry sauce was way too "milky" http://www.yelp.com/bi... I know every family makes it differently but I am more accustomed to those that are more tomato based and not too much dairy. The amount of chicken was sparse too and we have had much better tikka masalas at almost any Indian restaurants we have dined. Hubby said the shrimp in the tikka masala was undercooked and the shrimp were the tiny kind.

The aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower) which happens to be on of my favorite Indian dishes was not good here at all. The said vegetables tasted like they were blanched and then coated in plain tomato sauce http://www.yelp.com/bi... It was devoid of any Indian seasonings and after a few bites, I could not eat any more of it. This was the worst aloo gobi I have ever eaten.

Service here is atrocious!!!! The server dropped off the meal and we did not get a single refill on our iced teas. The glasses are also very small and we wanted more iced tea but could not flag down the server. We overheard a conversation from another party at the table. The server asked the couple if he could get them anything else, and the man replied "Get more help here". I could not agree more. The food and the service here sucks!!!!!

For the record, my favorite Indian restaurant is "Indias Tandoori" in  Hawthorne http://www.yelp.com/bi... and my second favorite is "Samosa House" in Culver City http://www.yelp.com/bi...

    We shall never return!!!

We take out dinner on a monthly basis.  Our standard order: garlic naan with sheesh (beef) kabab, chicken palak (spinach), and lamb korma (onion sauce).  The biriyani is just okay.

I'm sitting at work and thinking about what I would do for some amazing Indian food. Of course, Al Noor comes to mind and I'm hating myself right now for craving something that is a bit of a drive for me.

Must get items: Shrimp tikka masala and double order of garlic naan. Their dishes don't come with rice so make sure to order a side if you want. I'm good with just their garlic naan and the portion of their tikka masala is def enough for 2 people.

*Closing eyes and imagining myself eating their yummy food*

Who am I kidding? I know that shiet don't work!

Good, but did not meet that great level. I liked the garlic naan, it was very good but not Food Network level of good.  The other dishes were good, but I have had better up in Fremont or even in Michigan.

This place is very, very average Indian food with very little service.  Their garlic naan was passable, but I've had better at a few other restaurants in the area. Same for the chicken tikka massala.  Lots and lots of orange food coloring and poorly marinated chicken.  Don't ever believe what you see on tv. Whoever said this was the best of anything DOES NOT eat much indian food.
Like I said, there are several other Indian/Pakistani places in the area with much much better food.

We were excited to visit this restaurant during our trip to LA.   This restaurant deserves a solid rating of "Meh!".  The Garlic Naan was by far not the best thing I've ever eaten.  it came to our table cold and was not that tasty.   The Tandoori Mix plate  was good, well spiced but I've had better.   The saffron rice was o.k.  My favorite part of the meal was the Aaloo Palak, spinach and potatoes with spices and herbs.   It was very good.   The service was poor, our water glasses were not refilled.  We didn't have knives to cut out meat, and the sizzling platter was shoved in front of me from behind.   I really wanted to like this place and even found myself making excuses for the poor food and service to my wife.  We came on a Wednesday night and it was not crowded and in the end was not an experience I would repeat and not a restaurant I would ever suggest to a friend.

5 stars for the service, cleanliness, & the food!

Chef Eric Greenspan has recommended this place on the Food Network and the Chef's Feed app. The Bengan Bharta, eggplant dish, as well as the garlic naan. The eggplant was good, not anything amazing, actually could have done without it. Although it was obvious that this dish took some time and effort, so kudos. The naan was phenomenal. The four of us ordered 4 orders, plus an order of rice, lot of carbs. My two favorite dishes were the palak paneer & the chicken masala. Both excellent sauces to dip wonderful, wonderful garlic naan into. Also had the chickpea masala, quite good as well.

This place should always be packed, and South Bay South Indian cuisine lover should come here! I'm glad it isn't always packed, but people recognize!

All chicken tikka masala should be measured against this place. I get it spicy with garlic naan. I've been to Red Fort on Palos Verdes Blvd (closed now), India's Tandoori on Rosecrans, Kabab Curry on Crenshaw and Naan n' Curry in San Francisco and Berkeley. I wouldn't say I'm an Indian food lover, per se, because I've only had chicken tikka masala in all those places I've went. Al Noor is king in this department. You don't need to look any further.

Lord! This place is good. It's really small,  don't expect anything fancy..  Its basically a mom n pop kinda shop. Limited parking but it wasn't crowded at all during lunch hour. They have banners and cards that they were featured on the Food Networks "best of garlic " show

It's A LA CARTE ordering so make sure you order rice with your choosing.

    - Chicken Tiki Marsala: amazing! I asked for medium spice but didn't even taste it..  So I next time I'll go spicy for sure.  The chicken is tender and sauce is full of flavor. You can literally taste the butter and some kind of creamy coco milk..

-Garlic Naan: must order! Fresh,  soft and soooo good! Sprinkle some lime juice on top or dip it in the marsala sauce... Amazing for only 3 bucks

-Rice: ehh indian rice is always dry. But I guess you need it to soak up all the marsala sauce

Total: about $16.  It got us both full and we even had some leftovers!

Came here by the suggestion of some "Food Network Show" -for their Garlic Naan...

I have to say they did not disappoint...

Random strip mall off the 405 (you've probaby passed by it a bunch of times)

There's nothing fancy about this place, but it's clean and bright and the service is super friendly! By the way, this is a Pakistani/Indian restaurant so you might not see all the dishes you would normally see at an Indian restaurant

I recommend trying the Butter Chicken aka Chicken Tikka Masala (I didn't know this was the same thing until I got schooled LOL! Their Tikka Masala is VERY creamy. We also had the Tala Gosht in both beef and shrimp. I thoroughly enjoyed both.

Cool down your mouth from the burning sensations with their Mango Lassi-Oh sooo good! This is VERY thick so you might only need to order one and share...

I was disappointed in Al-Noor. In the Pakistani community, the battle between Al-Watan and Al-Noor for Pakistani cuisine supremacy is well known. I think the food was good, but not great. I just didn't get the same flavor explosion that I did from similar dishes at Al-Watan. The service is what really hurts this place. It is slow, and the waiter will disappear for long periods of time without checking on your party. I also think you can get more for your money at Al-Watan. It's not a bad choice, but with Al-Watan just a short drive in the opposite direction, I wouldn't find myself here very often.

Just ate here for lunch due to the fact that I was car-less today and needed somewhere close to the office to go. I reviewed some places near by and this one caught my attention (and being super close didn't hurt either.

Ordered Garlic Naan (YUM), Chicken Tikki Masala (YUM) and one other beef dish ordered by hubby that was good, plus rice.

Good food and it came out fast. The reccommendations for this place were spot on!

It's so-so.  I tried this place after I saw it on Food Network and the guy raved about the garlic naan.  The naan was good, not awesome.  It has a lot of garlic and cilantro on it, and I love cilantro, but somehow it wasn't that flavorful.  I got the Chicken Reshmi Kabob for 8.99.  And that's all you get for 8.99, just the chicken...and a couple of slices of cucumber. No rice,  no naan.  Had to pay an extra 2.50 for the garlic naan.
Kinda expensive for a smallish lunch, and again it wasn't any better than any other Indian or Pakistani place I've tried.  For the money, I'd probably go somewhere else.

Whenever I have Indian food, I always order the Bengan Bharta.  Was pretty good here.  Also had their onion and garlic naans, both very good.  The Gobi Aloo was alittle spicy, but not too much.   They give you cucumbers and onions to start (instead of those chips) - I like this better.

Located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking.  There was a steady stream of customers while we were there - seems like they have quite a few regulars.  Service was friendly, but alittle scattered.

My Indian food lovers took me to this place. It's little bit far from our office but I felt in love their food. I always order Masala whenever I go to Indian restaurant. The Al Noor's Masala is the best!

It's better to go with a lot of people so that you can order different kind of curry to try. It's hard to find the parking spot though.

I don't mind to eat their curry every week!

The lamb palak is soooooooo good. I came here with my brother who highly recommended the joint. It was lunchtime and super busy. We ordered the garlic naan, lamb palak, and a chicken dish whose name is escaping me.

The lamb palak is so tender and just basking in a delicious spinach sauce. I'd like to wallow in that sauce as well as my mouth is watering just talking about it!!! I wish I lived closer--actually, I take that back cuz I'd probably go broke eating here 24/7! (That being said, the meal was not expensive! Don't misunderstandddd)

My friend and fellow foodie Aimee introduced me to this place.  I have yet to actually dine here, but we usually get take out service from here.
We jokingly refer to their Paneer Tikka Masala (Cubed Cheese cooked in Alnoor's own special herbs and garnished with fresh cilantro) as Liquid Crack.  For good reason.  This is really as good as it gets.  For those who can't take the heat though, I would recommend that you request medium level spiciness.  This stuff can get SPICY!!!
    Other items I've tried here:
Chicken Qorma: Pieces of cubed Chicken mildly spiced then prepared in onion sauce.
Aaloo Qeema: Marinated ground Beef cooked with Potatos and spices.
Lamb Palak: Pieces of Lamb & Spinach cooked in spices
Palak Paneer: Fresh Spinach and cubed Cheese cooked with mild spices and herbs.
We usually eat all of this with their regular Naan bread.
    Absolute deliciousness!!!!

Would looove to give this a 4.5 (seriously, maybe Yelp should be on a 10 point system - I keep giving 0.5's lately). Al Noor is a lovely little mom and pop type shop that I first went to with my friends who lived in Redondo Beach. They seem to have a lot of regulars, and I would looove to be one if I lived in the area. It's in a little strip mall with plenty of parking, and apparently they expanded the restaurant over the years so more people could eat in the restaurant - good call on their part!

    Time to critique the food:
YUM to garlic naan ($2.50)- it was on "Best Thing I Ever Ate" for garlic naan, and as much as I love the garlic naan from Trader Joe's, this stuff really is fantastically garlic-y and perfect to dip in leftover tikka masala sauce.
My favorite dish might have to be the Chicken Tikka Masala ($9). My ONLY complaint about it is that sometimes the chicken can get a tid bit dry. That's also probably because it is white meat and I am a fan of dark meat. However, the flavors are phenomenal.
Lamb Karahi ($11) - we got this on the spiciest level and whoo it was pretty spicy. Also tasty and a good contrast to the masala.
Mango Lassi ($3.50)- get it. It's delish.

The dishes don't come with rice, so you do have to order it separately for $3. For four people, I thought that we only needed 2 orders of rice, and we also had two or three orders of naan as well. Yum to delicious Indian food!

My friend is a big "Best Thing I Ever Ate" fan, so she opened up the option of coming to Al Noor.

Located in a strip mall in Lawndale, you might question the restaurant based on the outdoor mall location, but never judge a restaurant by the outside!

The inside has a clean, casual feel to it.  We ordered SAMOSAS to start off the meal.  They were hot and fresh--great with the sauce they gave us!

For our meal, we ordered the famous GARLIC NAAN, along with the CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA CURRY, SEEKH KABOB, and GOAT PAYA (goat hoof...yes, hoof!)
I'm a big fan of curry, so the chicken tikka masala was my favorite of the night.  We ran out of garlic naan and placed another order.  My friend was telling me how they stick the dough onto the side of a clay (?) oven and make it fresh upon order! How awesome is that?!
You can see how they make it on their website--they linked a youtube video from Best Thing I Ever Ate.

Even though I always want to try something new, I was a bit skeptical on ordering goat or lamb brains, so we went with the hoof.  This dish was a bit too salty for my palate.

My friends ordered the Mango Lassi, a mango yogurt drink--really tasty, but I don't think I could drink the entire glass by myself because it's pretty rich.  But don't let that stop you from trying it!

Overall, GREAT prices and good service (I think we were chatting in there until almost closing time but they were kind enough to let us stay)
It's right off the 405, so definitely worth it for the fresh naan!

I have been to Al Noor about two times now and I will continue to go back.  My boss took me to Al Noor coz she's been raving about it for a while now ever since she accidentally stumbled upon it.

We ordered, and kept ordering, the following:
    - Mango Leci
    - Garlic Naan
    - Paneer Tikka Masala
    - Spinach thing that I forgot the name :)

Delicious.  I love sauce and the Tikka Masala is good.  This is of course the vegetarian dishes but I'm sure that if you ordered the chicken masala, it would be just as great!

Try it if you are in Lawndale.  Right off of the 405 in this little plaza off of Inglewood.  Word of advice, don't park near the Dominoes coz you might not be able to get out :)

I absolutely LOVE this place! I've had home-cooked Chicken Biryani before so I was immediately craving it when I saw it on their menu. Of course the spices vary, but it was just as delicious! Each spoonful of rice bursted with the combination of spices in it and the meat was tender, sliding right off the bone, just like any other slow-cooked chicken that one of my friends made for me.

Also ordered the Aaoloo Palak, consisting of spinach and potatoes, and thought that it was just unbelievable. I've had plenty of spinach dishes in the past that were great, but could it be possible that this completely topped any other middle-eastern vegetable dish I've had before? You figure how good can spinach and potatoes really be together, but they did an amazing job on this one. I seriously recommend this one. Put it on your bed of rice and swish it together if you have to...it's good!

And of course, you can't go without ordering a cup of mango lassi. You sure get what you paid for. They gave me a tall cup of it and I couldn't even finish it.

You gotta check this place out. Would never have noticed it driving by because it looks whatever on the outside, but the inside (decor and all) is completely different from what you would have expected.

When I first heard of Al Noor, I was expecting it to be an Arab restaurant, but surprisingly it's a Pakistani one and just has an Arabic name. Go figure! I also heard that it supposedly has the best chicken tikka masala in California.

It's a dish I've never really enjoyed at restaurants and have avoided getting because, well, it just usually sucks! But I was willing to give Al Noor a chance, because how bad can it really get, right?

Well, the chicken tikka masala($7.99) actually was the best version of the dish I've had at a restaurant! It still isn't my favorite dish, but  Al Noor's version really is good. Although I liked the chicken karahi($7.99) a lot more! But then that's my favorite Indian/Pakistani dish. The saffron rice($2.99) was nice as well, not dry at all. Portions were also more than generous considering the price! One item really caught our eye and that was the goat biryani($8.99). It's something we never had before and really wanted to try, so we ended up getting it to go. It was really good reheated the next day. The goat meat was tender and not gamy at all. Although I figure that even if it were, the biryani spices would have mellowed out it's gaminess.

Al Noor is a little out of the way for us, but it was worth the trip. The food is great, and while yes, there is little to no ambiance, with food this good you don't need anything else to wow the customers!

    Goat HOOF?

    Lamb BRAINS?

My excitement at reading both of these things on the menu in the same dish was slightly overshadowed by the sounds of the wife trying not to dry heave as she read the very same description on the menu.  No better way to start a meal than by giggling excitedly about hooves and brains while your significant other tries her best to not vomit before the food arrives...

The meal starts innocently enough with a small starter plate with cucumbers, sliced onions and limes. http://www.yelp.com/bi...  Cool, refreshing cucumbers drizzled with squeezes of lime...nice.

BUTTER NAAN ($2) AND GARLIC NAAN ($2.50)

Flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, freshly chopped garlic and cilantro.... http://www.yelp.com/bi...  warm, soft, chewy insides,  with a garlicky, crispy outside and perfect for any and all your dipping needs. I preferred the garlic over the butter...the wife vice versa.

    GOAT PAYA ($10.99)

Goat hoof and lamb brains in a spicy sauce...need I say more?
After finally convincing the server this is what I REALLY wanted....( he kept asking me "if I was sure"...asked "if I had eaten it before" and finally he just said "it's just bones and sauce"......dude! i know! Just GIMME MY GAWDAMN GOAT HOOF!

It arrives and I spoon around some of the thick, greasy, oiliness and realize....damn, this is just bones and sauce.....http://www.yelp.com/bi... NICE!  One big slurp and it is SO thick and rich...almost an overwhelming amount of unfamiliar flavor and spice, uniquely satisfying.  I grabbed a bone and gnawed some of the chewy tendons off of it, then soaked up some goat sauce with the garlic naan...in the end I just left an empty plate full of goat bones...the wife did her best to avert her gaze.

    SEEKH KABOB ($7.99)

Some pretty standard marinated beef kabobs.....they come out sizzling hot on a platter with onions. http://www.yelp.com/bi...  The wife thought they were a bit too spicy and she wasn't too impressed.  I wrapped a piece up in my garlic naan, dunked it into my goat soup and it was pretty damn good.

So, to all my fellow yelpers....when you get sick of ordering Chicken Tikka Masala YET AGAIN.....and you feel like testing the gag reflex of your sissy ass dining partners....slurp up some goat hoof and lamb brain stew...and save me some tendons!  It's fu*king goattastic.

By all accounts, I'm still a newb when it comes to Indian food. I'm willing to try most things and am a fan of pretty much everything I've tried thus far including the spicy stuff. But then many of us heard about Al Noor via Food Network and I've been wanting to try this place ever since.

Well that time finally came during a week day. We went a little early to beat the rush and snagged a good parking spot right in front of their shop. The restaurant is decently sized and as the clock struck noon, a bunch of customers started trickling in.

First things first, we ordered the garlic naan... two of them. One for each of us as my co-worker doesn't like cilantro. But you need not worry, it's so good that you'll want it all to yourself anyway. It comes hot and fresh, but is it the best ever? Well who knows, I prefer mine a tiny bit crispier than how it came out.

Along w/that we ordered the "standard" chicken masala along with a shrimp masala and (I sadly can't recall the name) a spinach & potato dish that had a slight kick to it... it was great.

Gosh, we left that place so full and ready to pass out w/food coma. I'd definitely come back for more one of these days.

    indian food!!

I live in cerritos which is really close to little india, but i have heard raving reviews for this place. So when we had a free afternoon my friends and i came here.

The place is small but clean. Service is pretty quick and the waiters speak English. They gave us great recommendations too. Their garlic Nan was featured in Food Network's Best Thing I Ever Ate! SPOT ON!!

you need to try their Mango Lassi. For those who've never had it, its blended mango with yogurt. Its soooo goooooooood and it compliments the spiciness of Indian food so well.

I also loved their Chicken Tikka Masala. It was so flavorful and delicious. I seriously can finish one order of naan by myself with that dish.

We also got their spinach with cheese curds which was also delicious although the texture of the cheese was almost like tofu.

Their Baigan Bharta (mashed eggplant) was very good. It looks like mush but totally yummy.

Almost all their dishes are good to dip the naan in. Definitely recommended coming here.

Oh there's a small parking lot but there is also street parking!

    recap:
    1) Mango Lassi
    2) Garlic Naan
    3) Chicken Tikka Masala

I was an Indian food virgin and I'm so glad my first time with was Al Noor :D

The place is small but clean with simple decor.  The Staff is nice and friendly.  The staff was always asking if we needed anything else.

    My favorites:

    - Chicken Tikka Masala - so creamy and it doesn't taste like curry at all.  It has a hint of sweetness to it.  I could dip my butter naan in this all day and be totally satisfied!  This is a must get!!

    - Baigan Bharta - mashed eggplant.  This kind of looks a mushy pico de gallo and it is absolutely delectable!

    - Butter & Garlic Naan - made to order so it's always fresh and warm!

Need something to drink?  Get the Mango Lassi!  It's mango juice mixed with a yogurt drink.  It's Mmm Mmm Good!

We rate 5 JUST for the food they serve.

Chicken biryani, goat biryani and chicken tikka are the primary items that we order from the menu and we have never gone wrong. The meat is ever tender, delicious and well cooked. Biryani has a good blend of spice in the rice and meat.
The chicken tikka is a must try - it simply melts in your mouth.

The food they serve is worth every penny. This is the only reason we drive 15 miles away to eat here, rather pack it home.

LOVE This place, and it deserves my 100th review.  I've been coming here for a long time, I even remember when it was half the size and unremodeled.  Thankfully not a buffet place.  They asked my opinion once, and I said F no, don't do that.

Palak Paneer is our favorite, hands down.  I've only been dissapointed with the goat, and the tandoori chicken can be dry sometimes.

Certainly order the naan.  I've seen people come in just to order that alone.

Service can be a bit slow when they're busy, but they're a nice bunch.

OK, OK so I only heard about this place after watching The Best Thing I Ever Ate for their garlic naan. I wanted to try it anyway because I love Indian & Pakistani food! I never leave a restaurant not stuffed until midnight after dinner.

On a Tuesday night, it wasn't busy at all... only about 10 people inside. The restaurant itself is not large at all and very well-lit. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala ($8.99) & the Palak Paneer ($8.99), all medium spicy, along with Saffron Rice ($2.99) & Garlic Naan ($2.50), of course. When they brought out a bottle of green sauce & a plate of onions, cucumbers and lime to our table, we were a little confused. The nice man said the green sauce can be used as a sauce with our food or just pour it on our spoon & eat it on its own, which is supposed to cool the spiciness of our food. For the onion, cucumber, lime plate, we squeeze the lime on the cucumber & onion, which is supposed to cleanse the palate & it really does work.

The Chicken Tikka Masala was my favorite! The sauce was sooo flavorful... I could eat a whole plate of just the sauce with rice. The Palak Paneer (spinach, herbs & spices, cubed cheese) was also really good. The cheese cubes were not cheesy at all, which I enjoyed. It was almost like a firm tofu texture. Their garlic naan is perfect! It tastes very fresh and not oily at all.

Service was excellent! Everyone was helpful, friendly & gave great suggestions. They were also very good with refilling our water, which is a huge plus when you're eating spicy food. The bill ended up being very affordable for Middle Eastern food.

This place is slightly different from the standard Indian restaurant I'm used to eating at. First off, the ambiance is similar to a cafe/fast food joint. The service isn't as impeccable as I'm used to, but it's still doable. The food's amazing! I've tried their palak, korma, and tikka masala- all the sauces are thick, rich, creamy, and flavorful. The seekh kebobs are really good, tasted like minty seasoned meatballs. The naan is fluffy and soft.

I came here 3 times in 2 weeks I loved it so much and will be coming here many more times. My mouth waters just thinking about this place.

I ate at this place for dinner, and I have to say i was not impressed after seeing all the reviews. The chicken tikka masala was a bit bland, was not as flavorful as it should have been. The chicken was bland and over cooked. The Samosas had a weird crust, almost like a pie crust, and was also lacking in flavor. I have had many Indian foods and this place just does not meet the standard.

    Al Noor, you magnificent bastard!

Vegetable Samosas - Fried pillows of potato veggie heaven.

Chicken Tikka Masala - Off the charts-good. The chicken was juicy and tender. And I could eat my own hand if it was smothered in this sauce.

Mutton Qorma - Again, amazing. The mutton could get a little fatty, but fatty = flavor, people. The sauce was complex, many spices going on. Too many to describe here. Just new levels of flavor in each bite.

Garlic Naan - Amazing. I just wish it was sleeping bag sized.

We got our dishes medium spicy, which still made our noses run like a hydrant in the Bronx, but not over powering.

Al Noor, Al be back. Pow!

With tasty and fresh food, Al Noor provides a great ethnic food option for the area. Though we hail from a place teeming with Middle Eastern, Pakistani, and Indian foods and thus found the flavors to be a bit tame, the food was still enjoyable. The large portions, great service, and clean establishment pushed Al Noor to four stars.

The chicken tikka masala was our favorite entree as it came with plenty of juicy pieces of chicken and the curry was buttery smooth (addicting as well!). The tandoori was overpriced as we felt that some of the meats (chicken and seekh) were dry, though the beef was tasty. The Bhaigan Barta, a dish comprised of mashed eggplant, came with a slew of other vegetables (onions and tomatoes) and tasty faintly of...pizza. Strange, but still tasty particularly with the garlic naan. The nehari came with big, tender pieces of beef and was most like a watery beef stew. Of course, the garlic naan was extremely fresh and soft and went well with the food. Simiarly, the rice was fluffy and delicious.

We did not get the pleasure to dine in, but enjoyed the food. The naan was huge and a single order of rice fed two of us (and we still had some leftover).

Again, we felt that the flavors were catered to the American palate and are more used to aggressive flavors. However, the restaurant does boast subtleness. I was the only one with an upset bowel after the food. Hmm...warning or challenge?

Great place for Indo-Pakistani food. I've tried all other similar places in the area and this has to be my favorite. The food is good, the service is good, and the place is clean. What more could you ask out of a restaurant? One of the waiters their is really funny guy too.
