I never leave disappointed. Quickly prepared Lebanese food is served to you within 8 minutes ... good environment for your quick bite if you wish to sit and eat a chicken shawarma sandwich or gyro --- the quality of their platters is also very good for what you're paying -- $11.90 will get you a nice kofta kabob platter.
And the food is seasoned very nicely - you can taste many flavors and can taste the cleanliness -- this is a big deal since many of the local quick food places in town have been known for food poisoning. -

Of all the butcher's in middle eastern stores in the area, the one in Al Nakheel is the best I've been to thus far.
You can call and order meat or kebabs to be prepared and not have to worry whether it will be done right. Don't forget to order the Kefta Kebab for a bbq to grill yourself. You will be asked to "make" more for the next one :)Listed in: My Neighborhood

I was looking forward to some good Lebanese food, as I have never had any and I was dissappointed....
I went for dinner with Middle Eastern friends and had
dishes like falafel and some famous beef dish, I should have ordered the gyro...
even the Baklava wasnt that great???
overall the pastries looked inviting, but the food was not fresh.
the service was friendly, though it seems they wanted to leave by 8pm?
lots of drinks, snacks and ethnic foods from overseseas -

I've been going to Al Nakheel for 6 years and I absolutely love it. Their signature Al Nakheel Platter is my favorite. The house salad dressing is excellent. The falafel is crispy and easily the best I've ever had. The Vegetarian Sampler is phenomenal. Their Baklava is actually the best. SERISOUSLY THE BEST BAKLAVA. The atmosphere is casual and unobtrusive, but you can still go with people and have a nice conversation. The employees are nice and quick to remember my face.

Al Nakheel is a grocery store, butcher shop and restaurant all rolled up in one! Being that it's a butcher shop, it explains a lot about their grilled dishes. I always call in to order "the special of the day" no matter what it is. It's usually very good! Last time it was lemon chicken, potatoes, pine nuts served with LOTS of rice (the really good kind with pasta mixed in). They also have an abundant selection of Middle Eastern sweets for apres dinner. I can't list everything that I've eaten here, so check out the full menu on their website. They have not disappoint, yet. I also never leave the place without picking up labneh, olives and pita bread from their grocery side.

I was unimpressed with Al-Nakheel and not because of their cafeteria-like atmostphere. Honestly the food just wasn't that good. I got the vegetarian sampler, and I've had much better grape leaves and hummus elsewhere. The tabbouleh and falafel were decent, though. The casual style might lead you to think it's inexpensive...I was stunned by how much it cost for what I got. The service is excellent but that's about its only redeeming feature. I can't really speak to the grocery as it didn't have much that interested me.

I've never eaten any of their meals, but I can tell you, without question, they have the BEST hummus on the planet. I make a special trip there when I have friends in town that love hummus. If you think all hummus is basically the same, try theirs, it's amazing. I'm salivating right now just thinking about it. :-)

Very typical of Lebanese/Middle Eastern joints. Expect very friendly, but also expect to wait in line for the person ahead of you to finish the conversation with the owner, etc. Haven't been for the cafe in awhile, but it has always been tasty. The grocery section is what I frequent the most. Everything is great. You'll find all the middle eastern items you'll need. Try the lebanese olives (green and black)!

Average. Completely average. The definition of average. That's Al Nakheel. Very nice people, with very slow service. Good but expensive food that comes in tiny portions. A good grocery with some very good (we come here for tahina) and some very mediocre (you call that zatar?) products.
