I just love this place too! Fresh food, chicken salad is the best...tender meat and the most delicious tangy dressing.
If you are in a rush call ahead, it takes a little while to make fresh food.
But the best part of this place is the family vibe. The mom is the sweetest and always remembers you, and its cool to see her twin boys taking part in the family business. Love it! -

Rarely do you find food this great just steps from a multi-plex theater, but here you have it. A small family-owned place, the food here is yum (and totally fresh). They have REAL smoothies...like you make 'em at home. OK, it's not the most beautiful or comfortable atmosphere (especially the bathroom)...it's more for a quickie munch.

I remember trying this place years ago and not liking it. I thought I would give it another try based on the good reviews from you Yelpers and a friend of mine. They must be under new ownership. First, the place is very clean. Second, the cute little guy behind the counter was so sweet. I know a yelper complained that the smoothies were expensive and there was a Jamba Juice down the street. Well, the difference is the smoothie I had is better. Jamba is too darn sweet and thick compared to the one I had. Loved my smoothie and will get them here from now on. It's a large size and worth it. I had chicken greek salads. I am not a big fan of oregano and heavy spices and the chicken had that taste usually found in Mediterranean food and some pieces were undercooked so I will most likely not get that again, but I will try something else in the future. I loved the simple and light salad dressing. The side of hummus was really good and simple although I would love to taste a hint of lemon in it to give it a little "kick". I will return and give one of their daily specials a try. I do feel my meal was a bit expensive for what I got. I think I was charged for the extra dressing I asked for. $27 for 2 salads, side of hummus and a smoothie.

When I saw the "Juice Blend" sign I was like "Hmmm, let's give this a try". Then, I noticed the "AL-MESHWAR" sign and was like "WTF DOES THAT MEAN?? WHAT IS THIS?" and I know some Arabic.
When I went inside, I was floored by the prices.
4.99 for a smoothie? Are you kidding me?
That's more than a gallon of gas!! [for now]
Juice Blend is adjacent to Edwards Cinema in Rancho San Diego between a Rubio's and Pizza Hut and doubles as a small restaurant called Al-Meshwar. I didn't come here for the smoothies, but came for the food.
The tabouli is fresh made with every order and has the perfect lemon and olive oil harmony. The homemade dolma is absolutely delicious; Not as citrusy as I like it, but really good. They have spanakopita, which is warmed to perfect with a tasty spinach filling. The falafel aren't homemade, but still yummy and moist. The greek salad isn't very traditional, but still exceptionally delicious. They also serve gyros, shawarma, and chicken along with fresh rice. The prices are a little steep for a smoothie/hole-in-the-wall joint.
I'm still a little irked by this establishment. Why try to have a Jamba Juice theme and mix up traditional Middle Eastern cuisine? Nobody is gonna spend 5 bucks on a smoothie here when they can drive one stoplight away and go to Jamba Juice for half the price? Also, please change the name of your business; There is an evident identity crisis going on.Listed in: Middle Eastern meets West

I eat at J's once or twice a month with my wife. Their food is quite good, and the family that owns and runs it couldn't be nicer. I am happy to support this mom and pop eatery and help send their kids through college. Give it a shot!

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! I usually get the chicken salad with hummus and pita bread. I don't order salad to be healthy, it's just that good. The food is ALWAYS cooked to order. The family that owns it is warm, polite, and friendly, especially the mom. If you like Greek food I definitely recommend you try this place.

Great food and make awesome smoothies. It was a bit of a wait during dinner time but the food was perfect. The young man at the counter was very nice and helpful. Only complain is when I asked for no Mayo and said it twice I thought there would be no mayo. I get to my car and think to double check and surprise Mayo! Mistakes happen and usually i say forget it and dont complain but it was a ton of mayo. I go back and he apologized but since the cook is right there I can here the counter guy and him discussing/arguing over the mayo. It was awkward and a long wait for another gyro wrap.

This place is one of my favorites and that it saying alot. Family owned by the nicest lady you'll ever meet. the food is fantastic. I've never had med food this fresh, very home made delicous!
But i'll admit my favorite thing is the french fries, golden delicous and they sprinke this seasoning salt on it.... it might as well be crack because i can't get enough. -

I've been coming here for years. I love mom and pop shops, and this place fits the bill to a Tee. The family that owns/runs Juice Blend is wonderful - warm, inviting, friendly, hilarious, and kind.
Their food is all home cooked, and "mom (as we call her) has always seen to it that the food is up to her standards, and that any chef they hire is "up to snuff".
Being of Greek descent myself, I'm very critical of Greek food here in the US, as most places bring shame to it. The only "complaint" I have regarding Juice Blend is that the meat they use for their Gyro is the same processed mystery meat you get at any Greek Gyro place here in the States outside of Queens/Astoria/Chicago. Other than that, everything is fresh and excellent.
Just about every dish here is delicious, healthy, and well prepared. The prices are right on par for the quality food you get, if not even a little cheap.
My friends and I visit at least once a week, if not more. Not only for the great food, but for the great company the family provides. Always a smile, and always great food.
Highly recommended. -

One of the best Greek salads I have had in a long time. Super fresh! I also added shrimp, which were very fresh and tasty as well! I would have never expected this place to be 5 star, but they have won my business. The hummus is delish as well. I will update as I try new items. Sort of an inconspicuous little place nestled between the Rancho San Diego Edwards Movie Theater and Rubios. The owner was very friendly and opened up our food to show it to us before we left as we phoned in the order. They also do fruit smoothies perfect for a hot RSD day. I'll be back!

If I ask for a Gyro that's what want. Not a combo. Not with a salad or fries or a drink. Just the gyro. Will return because the food was good.

A group of 6 of us visited the place on President's Day after a long, hot hike. I had eaten here a yr. ago and liked it. My friends in the group liked it; I didn't get any negative feedback and the restaurant was BUSY! I stick with the basic menu items. Can't afford the smooties. The owner knocked adjusted the price for my drink special substitute; most places don't even allow substitutions!
I would take another hiking group back. And I belive Danielle is right, the name is now "J's Greek Cuisine" -

Stopped in here the first time on our way to a movie at the theaters next door a few months back, not expecting much but a fast pre-movie bite to eat. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, which is excellent, and the warmth and friendliness of the owners. We've been back two other times and had the same experience, so I decided to Yelp about it. This is a great place to eat before or after a movie at the Edwards theaters, or anytime for those of you living or shopping in Rancho San Diego and finding yourselves hungry for some great Mediterranean food.

The decor may look like a juce bar (they make juices too) but teh cuisine is as good as eating in an authentic Greel or Mediterranean kitchen. The owners are genuinely interested in their customers and are always there, eager to see that you smile after your first bite. VERY nice, down-to-earth people and very good food!

Chicken Tika and Chicken Cream Chop are my favorites and I love the paprika on the fries. Some other good things are the schwerma and lamb shank. Family owned an operated and a nice family at that. They changed their name to J's Greek Cuisine, it is right by Rubio's next to the movie theater and Hooley's.

My husband and I tend to go here once a week. The hospitality and quality of food keeps us coming back. Their ranch is to die for. They use some kind of dill ranch sauce on their sandwiches and salad. Lunch prices are very reasonable and I would say best in town. The best part is they always give us a deal for just some chicken for our year and a half son.

I love this place! The food is really good, i'm a BIG fan of the chicken greek salads & gyros. I believe they have actually changed the name of the restaurant to J's Greek Cuisine/Juice Blend. I always call ahead to pick up my food for lunch since I work right up the street and as an added bonus the owners are sooo really friendly. I would recommend coming here if you are stopping for a bite to eat before a movie or are just in the mood for some good food! I do have to say though, I come here for the food not the smoothies, I think that $5 for a smoothie is pretty outrageous when Jamba Juice is so close...
