This place is just across from the Islamic center on 230.  It is a nice place to check out for Middle Eastern/N. African groceries.  I had one purpose coming here, to get Basmati rice and they had a great deal on it 2 for 1 10lb bags.  Can't argue with that!

Their other selection includes the stuff previously mentioned, produce, bread, cosmetics, home things and a couple refridgerated items.  Staff was competent but not overly nice.

On the end of the little strip called Steelton there rests a small halal grocer. They carry a variety of meats, olives, dates, fruit, rice & lots of other middle eastern groceries. didnt get to spend as much time here as we would have liked, however, it will get a second try soon. Nice little halal meat grocer. Has a small selection of items in each category.  Fruits and produce - just a bit, a small drinks section (yay guava juice! although the brand they had was too super sweet), some spices, some breads, some body care products, a few rugs, scarves, and a small selection of books. It's not the huge Halalco I'm used to in Va, but it's pretty ok!

This store is definitely quaint and welcoming, at least I thought so. I love the halal meat, which surely is a delicacy here in Harrisburg. In addition, all the familiar groceries I'm so used to, i.e., pita bread, olives, baklava, dates, foul, molukhaya, cheese spread, spices, and oh yeah! non-alcoholic beer, which I was so delighted to find here. Staff is friendly too.
