Dear Penthouse,

I never thought it could happen to me. It was as I wandered through the subways of Tokyo that I came upon her. Her name was Akihabara and she was one of the most magnificent things I have ever seen. Despite appearances, she is not one to give everything up front. Almost methodically she teased me with stores of electronics like I had never seen. I worried that she meant to play me like an arcade, with four stories and aisles of games. As she drew me along with school girls and cosplayers I began to see where she wanted me to go. Downtown.

As I approached I saw the wonderous lining of anime and manga shops begging for a taste. I went without hesitation. My heart raced as I made my way around. It was when she caressed me with her model shops that I could no long reign in my desire. I dove straight in. In and out and in and out and in out; every lunge through those doors filling me with a growing sense of excitement. Just as I thought I couldn't take anymore, she took me down her back alley. The many little shops tightly packed in, maid cafes and computer stores so full they almost poured over. Such perfect selection, such energy and excitement. I only had to enter a few more times and I was finished.

It was a night I will never forget.
