Review from James H.
Brooklyn, NY
I took my 70-year old boss to dinner here last night, for what made roughly the 7,349 time he's gone here. As we entered the restaurant, every waiter, bartender, hostess and the manager greeted him by first name, a handshake and huge smile.
Oh, did I forget to mention he's a mafia druglord? It must have slipped my mind.
Anyways, our waiter, Romero, was awesome. He's writing a series of kid's books/tv show/collectible card game/video game called Mantis Force. It's about a group of kids tapping into various spiritualities (one jewish kid, one muslim, one christian etc.) combining their powers and fighting evil. There will be 5 80-page books, each priced in the $4-6 range (he's self-publishing to keep costs down), a 50-episode cartoon, a three-box set card series and a trilogy of video games. It should be coming out sometime next year so get ready.
Half-priced appetizers from 3-5. We split the chicken satay (AWESOME) the shrimp cocktail and the potato skins. He had 7 martinis, that were about 95% vodka and 5% vermouth. I had about 13 Bass drafts. The night ended with us yelling at another 70 year old (woman) to show us her tits.
She did.
It was awesome.
Sorry Ariel K. don't hate me. -

I've been going to AKs since I was a kid. Staff is great. Especially Casey from last summer. Myself and coworkers went in here once a week and always requested him. He was great. Food is decent and well priced. The upstairs can be creepy if you're the only table. I feel like this place could be haunted.

Review from Peter C.

The burgers are awesome. The place is two places in one. The bottom floor, is where the bar is, and it can get quite loud in there. If you don't like loud, the upstairs portion is the more family friendly part of the restaurant. There is a salad bar upstairs as well. Along with the burgers, the steaks are great and so is the seafood. The ribs are also to die for.

I loved AK's while living in Nantucket, good food, for a good price. I have one thing I must thank AK's for though; my new addiction to gorgonzola cheese on my steak, AK's is the first time I had tried it and now I want it on everything I grill. Thanks AK's

Neutral because yelp/google maps sent us to the wrong edge of the island! This place is apparently close to the airport so beware.

We read a review in a local magazine and decided to try it out. When we entered it was realtively empty. Warning bells went off. We settled in and I ordered a cosmo. My server said "On the rocks or up?" hmmm. When it arrived it was a vodka cranberry in a martini glass. Strike one. We started to feel trepidation for what may be to come. There was an english issue. Our server, though sweet, seemed to transfer whatever we said into her native language in her head, causing awkward delays. We talked it over and decided to order off of the pizza menu. We didnt want to risk 50-60 dollars on entrees when we were unsure of the quality of the product based on our experience so far. My husband ordered the vegetable pizza. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. We shared it. The reason being...mine was disgusting. My pizza was to contain tomato jam, basil, mozzarella and balsalmic. My pizza was literally drowned in balsalmic. It was so soggy. The crust was also underdone beyond the edge. All you could taste was balsalmic. What a mess. Strike two. Our server did not check back with us, even though we had to be her only customers by the look of things. When she came to bus our table we told her we did'nt like the pizza, 2/3rds was still on the plate. After all, we tried it with the highest of hopes! We explained why and she apologized. When the bill came, we were charged for it. How does that make sense? Did she take the plate to her manager and say "The customers have complained about this pizza".? Did the manager say, "T_ _ _ H S_ _T!!" ? Maybe. Strike three. Steer clear of this estalishment.
