This place is stunning. My friends and I were so entranced by this place that as we were crossing the street, we didn't notice that two of our friends were walking towards us.
When we enter the store, we're greeted by an informative sales associate who explains AJ's creations. Most of the creations are made of brass, copper or stainless steel where they are coated with poly-urethane and oven baked to give it a glossy finish. AJ uses poly-urethane since a majority of the metalworks are used in the garden so the coating prevents the metal from rusting.
Each work is an explosion of color and mostly consists of flowers, frogs and insects. They do have some for indoor decorations and one that caught my eye was this mirror that costs $350.

Specialties
We make Copper, Brass & Stainless Steel Garden ornaments. What is most unique is the intense coloring we do to our work. They are each painted like we paint custom motorcycles and cars. The same paint, topcoats, Oven-baking that's used on the road everyday. But these stay in your garden or in your home, so they hold up very well in the elements.
Every piece is unique, because they are all hand-made in the Amana Colonies, Iowa.

History
Established in 2010
AJ's Copper Garden & Metal Art Gallery in Galena, Il. is our second Gallery with only our work. Our first gallery is located next to the studio where the work is done. I have been doing this work since 2000. Before that I worked leather goods for 15 years, and before that, I cast jewelry for 10 years.
Meet the Business Owner: Anthony P.
35 years as an entrepreneur, creating my art. I have always thought outside of the box, and have developed my own style throughout my whole life. I love to work, because I get to re-create everyday, something that is new since the day before.
