OK, I don't know what issues others have had with my peeps...but they're alright with me!!!

Katrina & Co. hooked me UP during my layoff a while back (and NO, they weren't paying me $12/hr, either!!), as well as placed my in what has turned out to be my dream job (have I told you all how much I love y'all lately? THANK YOU!!!) . Work with them & keep in contact, & let them work their magic..they do listen to what it is their client wants!!!

Let's put it this way. If you worked for Ajilon and delivered a level of professionalism on a par with what they deliver to you, you'd be fired. Despite an excellent resume and references, a long history of rapid advancement to supervisory and management positions, scoring near perfect scores on their tests, and having interviews that went well, like so many others here on Yelp are saying, Ajilon doesn't return calls or e-mails, and EVERY SINGLE time you call you're told the person you want to speak to is busy. Every time. I get that Ajilon can't create jobs, but that's no excuse for a complete and utter lack of professionalism, especially if you just have a question for them about the current state of the market, whether they've seen any signs of the economy picking up, other avenues you might explore, or your needs have changed. This company has no integrity nor professionalism whatsoever. None. In all honesty I don't think they have any jobs because the employers have cut out the middle man in this job market and you're better off putting the time and energy into finding your job directly. Meanwhile, Ajilon's bosses have probably told them to fill the down time by signing up new people for when things change, but once they've done this -- and even if they seemed enthusiastic about you and your prospects -- then the receptionist to nowhere/e-mails to nowhere starts. Totally inexcusable from a business that wants to be considered and used by professionals. The beauty of the situation? When I'm back working again I'll be in a position NOT to use them to fill positions, NOT to return their calls, and to treat them as badly and unprofessionally as they have me and so many others here. They're truly awful. Don't waste your time. And Christina Andrade is the absolute worst, so I look forward to dealing with her in the future when the tables are turned.

This staffing agency sucks.

I have worked for another temping agency before and got paid VERY well and everyone who worked there were angels. Ajilon has been a completely different experience...

I went in for practically a 5 min interview and she said "she liked my background"...but when it came down to actually helping me find a job in the city she was completely useless.  I emailed and left several messages but not one was returned.  Talk about extremely unprofessional.  In this economy you think they would try not to burn bridges by being so rude!

I would avoid this staffing agency like the plague.  They won't help you, it's just a waste of time.

I have no idea why, but I actually came back to Ajilon to give each other another try.
I came to them a year ago, took their test which I scored very well on and they swore they would be in contact. Never heard from them.

Now, a year later, I had found myself looking for a job and actually thought that by acquiring better skills I could actually go for a job of my choice, not some admin nonsense, can you believe it? Silly me! I had a feeling they would be shoving admin jobs down my throat and what do I come to find? Katrina! Oh sweet Katrina, doing me a FAAAAVOR by talking over me and sharing her god given wisdom on what I should be looking for.

The entire experience was insulting.  They are completely useless and condescending.  I urge you to save yourself the time.

I have temped with several different agencies in several different locals over the years, some excellent, some just ok, and some bad.  Accountemps,  Ajilon,  AppleOne, Accountants Inc, and a few much smaller placement firms. The effectiveness of the placement really comes down to how that individual office is run.

While the SF office of Ajilon is not the worst temp agency I have experienced, they rank fairly low. While the staff are friendly on the first meeting, they dont really take into consideration what you are looking for in an assignment. They just want to get you placed as soon as they can. While this may be a positive to some, it was a negative for me.

I had time to be picky, and I let them know what I was looking for. I have an excellent resume and references. I am very employable even in a downturn of the economy. I expect to be placed well because I stick around and generate revenue for the placement firm.

They presented several assignments which I declined for similar reasons. Every time I turned down an assignment I explained to them why it was not a good fit, but they never seemed to listen. They finally called me difficult. I had multiple offers from other firms and my own search that were good fits, so I finally decided that I had enough of dealing with them and refused further calls.

I got a great job, on my own, a week later... right across the street from them! I made sure that my current employer knew my experience with them when they called to find placement leads. An employer wants a good match for a job, not someone pushed into it.

But if you need a job, right now, quick, and you don't really care about the particulars. They may be able to help you.

I was in the process of job hunting and the people here seem to be ready to go partying at the Marina rather than concentrate on doing their job. Most of the people that work here look like the typical college flunkies that partied too much and failed miserably in their classes.

The place seems to cater to lowly office jobs such as office clerks and no brainer admin stuff. Anything which requires higher skills, they won't even bother to help you unless you fit the Marina Douchebag types, if they even have better jobs at all.

I got passed around to 3 different people and none of them had any answers  and jobs to offer.  How would that be possible unless, they don't have any real jobs to offer to candidates. Their skill tests are flawed big time. Especially when there are numerous ways to get to a certain function from MS Office softwares, they DEMAND that you use their "preferred" method. Anything else, is considered wrong in their books.

I sent thank you emails and followed up 2 weeks after I met with the people there to see if they had any new job opportunities. Haven't heard a word or a reply ever.

VERY unprofessional and rude. Avoid at all costs.

These cats really helped me when I first moved into town, and their whole office was very friendly and helpful until the end of 2008.  Once the economy tanked, they suddenly stopped calling or finding anything for me!  I kept in regular touch with calls and got, "I'm looking for you!"  the rare time I could get anyone on the phone in 2009.  Always in an interview with someone else...  kind of the last thing you want to hear when you're job-starved.

The consultants are in a sales position so they have performance requirements within Ajilon as their employer. Ayrca an, Sally, and Katrina have been professional and efficient. The front desk receptionist is very personable and demonstrates great customer service. Employment agencies are like modeling agencies. Your consultant is your agent. Sometimes they get you work, other times they don't, and they make recommendations to keep business going for them and you.

Do *NOT* temp with this place. Ever. Katrina and Sally sound sweet at first, but watch out. They tried to get me to take a bunch of classes to polish my already-good Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Uh, not for some $12/hour jobs I'm not. No way. Start paying me a little more, and then we can talk. The whole vibe here is a little too "Marina Douchebag" for my taste. Sorry, but there's plenty of temp agencies in SF that are paying more, thank you!

they had a very posh office.  but i also heard that they didnt pay that well.  either way, I didnt find out.

I had a positive experience on my first visit, and the lady seemed to really like my resume, and I was told that I did really well on my in office tests. but I had to contact them constantly.  and I was given a response of 'we'll call you when we find something'.  yet other placement agencies were already setting up interviews for me.  I left voicemails and sent emails.  nothing.  nothing.  I guess i was disappointed because I thought things were off to a great start.

I think many times experiences at placement agencies are hit or miss, but i'm sorry to say that my experience here was a miss.

Tips when going to placement agencies:
* bring a copy of your resume (even if you already emailed it)
* bring two forms of ID like a driver's license & SS card
* be prepared to fill out paper work like w2's, direct depost forms
* bring any info (past addresses for background checks and references)
* be prepared to take tests in things like Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Looking for a temp job. Waiting on a new job to start? That was my situation when i first moved here. I had several weeks to kill before my job started. So i made an appointment with Ajilon and they placed me within a week. I have gotten several temp jobs over the month to last me until my permanent job starts. I would highly recommend calling them to make an appointment to see a recruiter. Make sure and be on time. The girls at the front desk are a riot as well.

I have gotten temporary work through their office several times. Every person that I have dealt with in the office has been highly professional and helpful, completely focused on assisting me in attaining the type of position I was looking for at the time. I recommend giving them a try if you are seeking temporary employment, or even if you are looking for temp to perm. They may be able to help. Just go to their website and check them out.
