Ajax is the best.

My car was broken into night before last and I woke up in a total fury. I called out of work and spent my morning trying to find an auto glass repair shop that was open early enough. I called one guy with a shop in Center City and he reccomended I call Ajax. I wanted to get it done, fast, and I wanted to get it fixed while I waited.

I called Ajax, and thank god they were open before 9am. They had my window already in stock - no need to wait a few hours for it to be ordered. They quoted the job - $108. In the past, I had been told I was getting a great deal on a $150 window replacement. I told the man on the phone, "I'm leaving now, see you in 25 minutes." I pulled up, left my keys with the gal who did it, ran next door to "Gourmay Diner" for an egg & cheese and a cup of coffee. Less than 15 minutes later I was all set!

I will absolutely go back to Ajax next time some filthy ingrate breaks into my car (at least this time the 5.0 arrested the guy).

This place is by far the cheapest and quickest place to get any glass from your car fixed.   I called all around town to fix my front driver-side window after it was completely smashed, and prices were from $200-$400 (seriously), but Ajax fixed it for $120.  And, I was in and out of there in half an hour.

It's not in Center City, but obviously, you have a car and it's only a 5-10 minute drive.  It was definitely confusing when i pulled up, because there's no specific entrance, but luckily a man getting his windshield fixed (who loves the place) told me how it works.

Basically, all 5-10 employees work on the cars, and no one sits in the small office.  It's a first-come first-work-on basis, and barely 10 words were exchanged between me and the person who fixed the door.   It was amazingly fast and efficient and cheap.

ok, they lost a screw to my speaker well and put the door handle screw in the lock latch and vice versa... this is a little unforgivable.

so i have this to say: they are cheap, but you get what you pay for.
