I found Ajasrika Wellness Center when I got a groupon for a massage and facial. I normally go for the $15 per hour Asian massages but I was on R&R from Afghanistan and decided to treat myself :) the place is a little but hidden but don't let the outside fool you at all. The inside is GORGEOUS. Mad props to the owner for the way she decorate. And the scents when you walk in are.. Mouthwatering. The owner (damn! I wish I could remember her name!) signed me in quickly and she took care of the massage herself. She explained the process to me as I was a tad nervous then stepped out for me to change.
After the massage got started I was turned to jello immediately. The relaxing sounds and aromatherapy mixed with her skilled hands were just so amazing.
After my hour massage I started my facial. The aesthetician was extremely informative about my skin (I had developed a pretty nasty breakout a few days prior to the facial) and took extra time to help my skin recover. :) she also gave a fabulous scalp and shoulder and leg massage while my acne mask dried.

I received a special over email and called before buying to ask if I could buy two and have my girlfriend and I use them for a 'couples message'. The girl on the phone told me to just buy 1 message online for the special price, and then when once we came in my girlfriend could add on for the same price and we could do the couples message.
Once we came in everything seemed to go smoothly, we were taken to get our message, it went okay, although it was cut short from what it was suppose to be. However, afterwords we were told to pay $150 dollars. I explained the previous arrangement that we had made and they refused to honor any discounts. Saying that we would have to pay $45 to upgrade to couples message, and no discount for my girlfriend. They didn't mention ANY of this on the phone, especially when telling us to "just buy it online".
The worst part about this place is the incredibly rude attitude of the receptionist and the owner. They spoke to us like we were making up the whole thing when we were just doing what the person on the phone told us. No effort to make it right with us. Stupid.

This place shocked me at how well put together it is, especially for being so small and part of a very busy intersection/area. Everything in here was perfect--the lighting, decoration, music, and the people. It was calm & soothing, and really put me in "spa mode."
I had a massage with Lily, and WOW did she know what she's doing. Such the perfect massage. She used firm pressure like I requested to get the knots out of my shoulders and back, and she put me in a state of bliss for the whole hour. I thought this place was just alright... I really liked the look and feel of the place, but in general just wasn't wowed by the prices, quality of massage, etc. that I was hoping for. The massage was kind of lackluster and was just really disappointed that the add-ons I received were built into the time of the massage. I think that one add-on I had for the back scrub was supposed to extend the massage, but when I looked at the clock after the massage, it definitely didn't. In fact, the massage ended slightly early.

I had a groupon that was expiring so what better way to start a weekend then to get a massage and facial. It true the facility is hard to find. However upon entering you are transformed into a relaxing state. You are greeted right away and your appointment is confirmed. Being new I came early so I could fill out paperwork.
I was then directed into the tea room with magazines, hot and cold water and a few selection of teas. There is a cute window where they made the view serene.
Massage...Evelyn was wonderful. I got a Swedish massage. She was attentive and listen to my issues and focused on the problem areas before continuing to the overall massage. Afterwards she brought me water and let me change into a robe so the oils would not get on my clothes. The day after I felt no pain as would when getting a massage. My right shoulder blade felt great.
Facial...kandi was so sweet and gentle. I have had a really bad break out after a facial in the pass so to do this groupon thing was the only reason why I would dare again. She asset my skin and I opted to upgrade to the hour. Extractions, I know gross right, we're not that bad and my facial wasn't even that red but it felt so clean. The peels were gentle and the gel mask was invigorating. I had such a great experience I would recommend this place to anyone looking to pamper themselves.
I considered taking a star off due the location of the center, but really the direction given over the phone or any working GPS will get you there no problem. Plus it has almost nothing to do with the professionalism and great service that was given here.

My back has been hurting for a while (about 4 months) and I happen to have sciatica (ouch)
after trying couple of things somebody suggested Thai massage, after looking on yelp, seeing distances, reviews, $$, etc
I decided to go to Ajasrika
The spa is kinda hidden behind a mattresses store (I got lost and was like 10 min late for my appt). The place is quite nice, smells delicious, super relaxing!
Chelsea greeted me and proceed with the massage.
It was awesome! it relieve my back and hip pain, caused by the overuse of the computer :(
the time flew! I slept half of the time, regardless how dynamic is this massage.
Chelsea is great! she really knows how and where to massage.
I have been a total of 3 times and my back and hip are feeling better!
I wish I was able to afford comming here more often :(

I am so glad I bought a Groupon for Ajasrika. I had never been there before today and was pleasantly surprised. This is not one of those "spas" that pop up around town which is basically a nail salon with a room in the back, or a "mall experience" with 40 distracted teenagers giving you a "massage" while watching the clock and treating you like a test-crash dummy. This is the real thing.
As soon as I walked in I could tell by the ambience and wonderful smell of real lavender (not a Glade plug in), this was a hidden gem. The receptionist was very welcoming and courteous (no fake smiles here!). I was taken immediately back to the waiting area - it's really cozy and comfortable with a beautiful little atrium. The music, lighting and decor is simple and warm. The long hallway is lit with candles, leading to the treatment rooms. I was so comfortable before I even entered the massage room!
My masseuse was Terry. I was so happy that we didn't have a big conversation before the massage, or during (I don't enjoy chit chat during massage as this a rare treat when I can focus on my body). I really appreciated how she just started the massage. I had a Swedish with the pumpkin foot mask. Both were just wonderful. I get massages pretty frequently, but Terry was one of the most professional, thorough and talented masseuses that I have ever had. She was able to find the tight places in my back, shoulders, and neck, and I really felt that I was getting personalized treatment, instead of a worn out routine. The tension headache I had all day was gone by the end of the massage.
I also found a beautiful necklace at their little shop - perfect for a holiday gift for a friend. But of course, now I think most of my friends will be getting gift certificates for Ajasrika!

I have come here for 2 different services: acupuncture and the back "facial". This review is only for the back facial.
I came the other day after purchasing a groupon for a 45 minute back scrub and Indian scalp treatment. Candy was my aesthetician and I really enjoyed my service. The scalp massage was relaxing and the glacial scrub, followed by a seaweed treatment was divine. My back was so smooth and silky! I wished I could stay longer. She told me there are always deals going on and she offers a la carte menu items to customize the treatment the way you want. I'll be back for the facial treatments for sure!

I bought a coupon from livingsocial for this place some time ago. They were booked on the weekend for several months so I forgot about it until recently. I was able to book an appointment for Saturday morning.
When I first arrived at the place, I thought it was a bit small. However, the service here is great. After filling out a very short 1-pg form for coming here the first time, we were escorted to the waiting room. A few minutes later, our masseuse came in and took us into the massage room. I am very petite and most of the massages I have gotten is somewhat painful, even when they do it light. Here, the masseuse was using just enough pressure so that I can really enjoy it and was able to take a short nap :) She also didn't cut my time short like some other places I have been to.
I would definitely come back here again. The regular price for a massage is also very affordable. If you check in on yelp, you also get a 25% discount. Any friend referral will give you $10 discount :) -

I came here with a Groupon deal to get a 1-hour Swedish massage (normally $60) and a back scrub. It was super awesome. I had a lot of stress tension related to my grad school endeavors, and afterwards and for the next several days I felt all loosey goosey. The back scrub made my skin feel nice, but I could have done without it.
My masseuse was Nayelli, and she was great. I didn't even have to tell her where I had knots and things in my back; she found them like magic and worked the crap out of them. Excellent!
Afterwards I sat in the quiet room and drank some tea. I almost fell asleep because I was so relaxed, so I decided to leave before that actually happened!

So, a few months ago we got a groupon (or maybe living social?) deal and got a couple ok massages at Ajasrika. Did we plan on going back? No, it was a bit far and not amazing enough to warrant the drive, but good enough, I guess.
So, come mother's day. The place my mom likes to go to was out of gift cards (on the day before mother's day? Come on people! ) and so I decided to come back to Ajasrika because it's relatively near to her house.
So, because I love Yelp, I checked in while I was waiting in line at the counter, and TA-DA, a check-in offer, %25 off of a regular priced massage service. Thanks Yelp, it's my lucky day, right?
Well, apparently not. According to the girl behind the counter, it's not the same to come in to BUY a massage service as it is to come in to GET a massage service. Call me a dummy, and maybe it's because I'm a natural blonde, but no matter when I'm getting the service done, I'm still there to drop my $75, right? Where's the difference So after a bit of light discussion, I say, thank you, if you'd rather not have my business, I can look elsewhere. And that was that.
I can't believe that they'd rather have me leave than honor a discount offer, which resulted in them getting no business from me today, or at any point in the future. And I wonder who I contact at Yelp about this sort of thing, because there's no fine print that I can see that says I have to get the massage service right then and there to get the discount.

So, to make sure that we redeemed our Living Social certificate for their Swedish massage before it expired - the three of us made an appointment on the same day! I believe that they go by appointments only, so make sure that you make one soon! This place was a bit hard to find as there was a big building in front of it, but somehow we managed when the GPS told us that we missed it.
Ajasrika is like a beautiful hidden secret in the middle of the 900 business buildings! If you ever drove by this place, you would not even realize what amazingness you are missing out on! Upon entrance, the aromas, music, and colors immediately gives you a sense of peace of mind. This place is so cute!! The service and staff members were wonderful and accommodating to each of our needs!
You need to come a little earlier than your appointment time to fill out the short form that they have. When Lina noticed that I wanted a deep massage, she suggested that I pay an extra $10 for a deep tissue massage instead of the Swedish. Only $10? AWESOME! Done! How was the deep tissue massage? It was amazing and for the price, it is comparable to many high end massages! I loved it! Thank you Lina! You are amazing!
How did my friends feel? They also looked like they were at peace. T.C.N wants to return every month to Ajasrika because of how much she enjoyed it. While my other friend was looking at all of their other offers and may come back to try their facials or other massages.
Overall, it was awesome! It has been a few days and my knots are so much smaller, and I'm still drinking lots water to get rid of the toxins! Most importantly, I still feel so relaxed! Deep tissue massage is the way to go! I think I might even add an aromatherapy to the experience... Oh, the possibilities! My fiance and I finally got around to using our Groupon coupons for Ajasrika. We both got deep-tissue massages and they were magnificent. We arrived earlier than planned, but it turned out just fine because we had to fill out a form describing where we had pain and tension. I guess this replaced any pre-massage interviews with the masseuse.
After filling the forms in the waiting room, we were led to the relaxing tea room. From the various assortments of tea bags, we made our own cups of tea. We felt like falling asleep in there. It was that relaxing.
Eventually, we were both led by our masseuses to our own massage rooms. Plenty of soft lighting the hallways and rooms. I got ready on the table and when the masseuse came in, she went right to work on my back. No small talk. My masseuse was pretty strong and she was good at asking how comfortable the pressure was.
After a good work on my back, she put hot towel on it, which felt great. It also did a good job of cleaning off the lotion so I wouldn't home with a greasy back. Unlike some massages I've had in the past, this massage felt like a solid hour. It didn't go by too quickly.
When the massage was done, Jenn and I pretty much stumbled back to the tea room with a feeling of euphoria and a solid high from the endorphins. We got plenty of water. Jenn said she feel asleep during her massage. We were both loose and relaxed. Great place! -

This was my first visit to Ajasrika and I was thoroughly impressed. I also had purchased a http://Livingsocial.com coupon for a 60 minute Swedish massage and I have to admit that it was seriously one of the best massages I have ever had (and I've had many). I added on the Indian Scalp Massage (heavenly...expect oily hair afterwards though!) and the combination left me euphoric.
My massage therapist was a gal named Evelyn and she was great (as awful as this sounds...I loved the fact that she just massaged and didn't make conversation - exactly what I like!). The staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was calm. You would have a hard time finding this place if you didn't know about it though because it is in a back building behind a mattress place (sounds sketchy...it's not). You aren't going to get the full on experience of a spa at a fancy hotel...however, the massage I had was way better than the $150 massages I've paid for in the past. This was well worth the money (normally a Swedish massage for an hour is $50...not bad at all!).

I loved this hidden, unassuming spa. I had a Screamin Daily Deal for a one hour massage and facial. The place is hard to find in a non descript strip mall. When you walk in the door, you are transported.
The staff was friendly. The spa itself was pretty big. The masseuse worked her magic and really knew her way around my tweaked neck and back. I didn't want it to end.
The facialist was an expert and my skin looked and felt great. I actually had comments from strangers about how young I looked that night. When you book, make sure you get the whole experience with extractions and everything.

I took my sister last year for a pampering session for both of us, and we really thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is neat and clean and the service was good. The only thing is their entrance at that time wasn't so well designed or noticeable, kinda felt like a hole in the wall, we had arrived on time but the doors seemed locked to the spa, we weren't sure where to enter from. It was a bit strange. And then someone from inside came to open it after we hung around for a few minutes peering in. The massage and facial was pretty decent too. However what makes this place a good experience is the relaxing environment and friendly people. I would go again once I see another groupon!

Oh how I miss a good, greasy rub down.
I finally had a chance to redeem my Living Social certificate for my Swedish massage. Their waiting room has a view of a cutely decorated patio with warm, brown colors.
My massage was amazing, although I did fall asleep soooo I guess I really don't know if it was but I caught myself snoring a couple times.

This was my first massage. So I really don't have anything to compare it to. But still, I came out of the building smiling and relaxed. Ugh, it's been a few days so I forgot the name of my masseuse, but she was great. I think it was Evaline. She was patient with me and explained what I needed to do to get set up. But as soon as she got started, everything was amazing.
Almost instantly, I felt the desire of slowing my breathing and relaxing. I swear, birds were chirping in my head and I was in Heaven. Well, I think the music was playing birds chirping so that's where the birds came from. Still. Amazing.

So good! Hector did a fabulous job. His method of using arms and elbows really helped on the difficult spots on my back and shoulders. He did some great work with my neck too.
I felt comfortable and peaceful the entire time I was at the center. They really know how to create an atmosphere of soothing quiet. Plus, I know for me, the more "eastern" approach or "healing" feel of the place made it even better. Unlike a typical spa/salon that is also focused on nail or skin services, has brighter lighting, etc., this was a more... mind and soul kind of place. If you know what I mean. Loved that.

I will definitely be back. I completed a very short questionnaire that allowed them to understand any health issues that could affect my deep tissue massage and Ann referenced the questionnaire during my massage.
The location was easy to find (in a strip center behind the mattress store on Katella) and was very soothing from the time I walked in to the time I left. The rooms have a wonderful ambiance, and it is very apparent they take pride in their facility as well as in what they do.
Ann was wonderful. She was pleasant, observant and has hands that are heaven! She noticed a small bruise on my ankle ad was very concerned that she had caused me pain--just a bunch of spider veins in one location. At the end of my session, she asked me to rise slowly as I might feel a little light headed and offered me towels that were found in the room. When I came out of the room, she was waiting for me with a glass of water and offered tea and fruit from what I'd like to call their Tranquility Room.

This place rocks! Cant say enough really-The atmosphere is so relaxing - drink tea or have fresh fruit while you wait. I have been to many spas but this one is def by far my favorite! I got a facial w candy and she is sweet just like her name - very informative and experienced. My deep tissue massage was outstanding - I had the owner work on me she was phenomenal and my sister got one w Evelyn and she was amazing as well! It's not even expensive and def worth ever dollar spent. The staff is super friendly and I will be coming back for sure!

I bought a couple of the living social vouchers for my Gf and I and let me tell you.... Best decision ever!
I had the pleasure of having Evelyn as my masseuse and she did outstanding. With the enriching ambiance and music, my mind had me getting massages in different forests, jungles and ocean view escapes. oh the massage was great! by the end I was rejuvenated relaxed and smiling like a baby. Ahh just what i needed!
The GF had Terry give her a massage and it was also 5 star worthy. I finished a tad earlier and waited in the waiting room where they had fruit and tea waiting for you. When my gf came around the corner after she had finished she had a glow in her face that expressed her experience.

I got the Groupon for a couple's massage. It was a bit hard to find the place but once I got there, I loved it. The staff were all so friendly. They took me through my paperwork quickly without wasting time and put me in a relaxing tea room. Our couples massage was absolutely wonderful, one of the best massages my partner ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a REAL MASSAGE that will relax and enlighten them!

My personal physician recommended that I get a deep tissue massage. Aside from the doc's orders, I've been wanting to get a deep tissue for awhile now anyways. My upper body constantly aches.. my shoulders are so tense that even when I carry my small light purse for more than an hour, it hurts!
My massage experience ranges from those $20 asian places to $100+ 5 star resorts. Based on the massage experience alone, I'm rating Ajasrika a 5 star. I thought my massage by Linda was amazing... and even better than some of the fancy resorts I used to go to! I really liked how they make you feel out a worksheet to identify the areas you want to work on. I also really like toe 10% off. THE BEST place for a deep tissue massage...ever! (And I've been to them all...Glen Ivy, Burke William, and all sorts of foo-foo other places). I have been to about 4 different masseuses here, and each and every one of them are sooo good at what they do. I have huge knots in my neck and always ask for firm pressure, which they always are capable of taking care of. Always walk away feeling a head rush, from finally restoring circulation to my brain...haha! The place is kind of hidden, but once I found it, I haven't been to any other place. The inside is so serene, clean and beautiful! All I can say are wonderful things about Ajasrika!

Great and wonderful experience!! My husband and I treated ourselves for our third anniversary in June! Can't go wrong with the deep tissue massage. The best! Our massage therapist were wonderful. My husband is a pretty big guy and he had a female massage therapist, and she was able to get all the knots out of his back and apply enough pressure. Great price! Great ambiance! Only thing I wish is that it had a changing/shower room to freshen up after especially if you have somewhere to go after and you don't live close by! You have to try it once especially if you live close by, cause my husband and I would definitely go back often! We live in Torrance, and only went to Ajasrika because we were going to have dinner in the area and catch an Angel game after.

This was my first time getting a massage here. I've been trying to find a great spa with reasonable prices forever and I definitely have found one at ajasrika. I received a 90 minute combination of Swedish and deep tissue massage. I normally hate deep tissue because it's painful. The deep tissue pressure was perfect for the spots that needed it. Overall, the massage itself rivals some of the best high end spas, but without the exorbitant price tag. No more spa hopping for me!

I would've never known about this fantastic little spot if it weren't for Livingsocial (I booked a deal with them for an hour deep Swedish massage). When I called to make my appointment for the following week, they were already fully booked for the entire week(so book asap!)... I put off my massage for another week, and unfortunately that made my masseuse Linda's job much harder :( I was so tense and my back (from my tailbone to my neck) was sooo knotted up. Actually I even had a neck spasm the day before, but she worked me like magic! I felt a.m.a.z.i.n.g afterwards. The spa itself is pretty small, but definitely relaxing and quiet. Everything was really clean, and everyone was so friendly. I can't wait to come back! Hopefully I'll gather some courage soon to try acupuncture out. Come get a massage here, and ask for Linda... she saved my life! :)

Thank you, livingsocial, for giving me a $25 one-hour Swedish massage. What an awesome deal.
Booking the appointment was hard...it seemed as though they'd only allotted certain times for the livingsocial group..so I guess that wasn't really fair.
This place is really hard to find. It's tucked away in a business center behind a mattress store... No large sign, nothing.
The Swedish massage was good (although I think I should have gotten the deep tissue massage). I booked with Evelyn, as recommended by my fellow Yelpers. However, even though my friend and I'd arrived 10 minutes early, I got gypped of at least 10-15 minutes of massage time. Perhaps she didn't want to waste her energy on such a cheap massage? Dunno. I still tipped her, though.
The thing I have to complain about the most (besides having been cheated 10-15 minutes of the massage) was that there weren't enough towels in the room to wipe off the excess oil that was on my skin after the massage. My body was so oily that I got oil all over my car -__-

I really liked this spa. These guys actually love what they do! We were 10 minutes late, so I assumed that we will get our service cut short, to my pleasant surprise, these guys were laid back and didn't even bother to check time or rush us in spite of busy schedules.
Hector gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. I also did a Thai Yoga massage session with him, which was just amazing! I have heard the other therapists are good too, but if I go back, I don't even wanna work with someone else.
Candy is a extremely skilled and caring aesthetician who enjoys what she does. The facial was very relaxing and personalized.

I bought a groupon here for both my boyfriend and myself and was so excited to use it. The place was a little hard to find and wasn't in the greatest area, but once you're inside getting your treatment, nothing else in the world matters. :)
I had Evelyn as my therapist and she was amazing. Hands down one of the best massage treatments I have ever received. She is so tiny yet so strong! She worked exactly what needed attention. She has a great, calming presence and you can tell she actually cares about her profession. There is a difference between DOING a treatment and GIVING one. I would recommend her to anyone.
My boyfriend had the male therapist and said he was great as well. I will definitely be returning here! :) -

I've been to this place twice and enjoyed my massage both times, more so the second time. The first time I went, there were two therapists - Sanja (the owner) and Evelyn - so they were taking simultaneous appointments. But now it's down to just Sanja that's giving the massages. The first time, I had Evelyn and she was good. I felt relaxed afterward, but not all of the tension in my neck and shoulders area was eased. The second time was with Sanja. Wow! She used a lot of pressure point techniques for the deep tissue massage and it was heaven! The one hour went by really fast and I was sad that it went by so quickly.
The building can be a little hard to find. It's behind the bright yellow mattress store on Katella and Cambridge.
The massages normally run $60 for one hour, but if you search online, you can find a $15 off coupon for first timers. There is also a summer special going on right now through Sept 1: 1-hour Deep tissue massage for $45 and Swedish for $38. -

This past Saturday, I went to Ajasrika for a 90 min deep tissue and I was very, very happy with the results! Evelyn was my massage therapist and she was very good. I paid $65 for 90 mins, which if you have ever had a massage it's hard to find that price for a 50 min massage. This is a cute little center that is very clean. If you are looking for a full spa experience, then this isn't the place for you. However, if you are looking for a good massage cheap, then I recommend Ajasrika.
They have a lot of running specials--namely, $45 50min deep tissue, $35 50min Swedish, $65 90min deep tissue. They also offer a frequent guest punch card--Buy 8 massages & get 50% off any massage service. -

I saw all the great reviews and made my 1st appt for a 90 deep tissue massage and back scrub. I've been having stiff back pains so I knew it was that time. I was very pleased when I was able to make an appointment for the next day.
When I arrived, I was greeted by a very petite Latino lady, Linda, that turned out to be my therapist. I was a bit skeptical about whether she would be strong enough to be able to give me a good deep tissue massage especially since I like the pressure to be on the harder side. To my amazment, she got the job done. I was thrilled. Their prices are reasonable enough so I can come on a more regular basis. I even bought a Groupon from them to gift. Good work Ajasrika! I'll be calling soon. -

My first experience here was great....Then I had two gift certificates to use as groupons gifts and they kept cancelling my appointment due to staff being sick and unavailable. In the end I had two unused groupon certificates and they were finally able to book my appointment on the very last week my certificate was going to expire and I had to use the other one by having someone else come with me to use it....I think they shouldn't have so many discount certificates available if they don't have enough staff to accomodate everyone or at least extend the expiration date....

I am so grateful to have found Ajasrika. I have had chronic headaches for the past 6 years or so. I've tried everything to control them including cutting out coffee from my diet, chiropractors, other massage / wellness centers, misc home 'remedies' and nothing helped. I got to the point that I just lived with it and figured they were never going to stop. After moving to Orange I decided to search Yelp for a local massage place... hoping something good would come up. Well I got lucky and found Ajasrika - even better, I found Sanja and nothing beats Sanja. With Sanja and her healings hands she has successfully managed to massage away my headaches. I may get one or two a month now. I don't know what I would do without her.

I would recommend this wellness center to anyone, I take a physical and spiritual approach to wellness and I have truly been blessed to have Shabnam work on me. She is the acupuncturist at Ajasrika. She is soft spoken, to the point and makes you feel comfortable during the consolation which includes very personal questions. I have also had a massage there which was fabulous. If you are looking for wellness this is the place.
