I decided to write a review for this campground because there were none when I was looking prior to my trip there. I really struggled with the rating to give this place - it was "fine" - but there were a few things that stuck out to me.
The seasonal sites are all over the campground and many seem to have quite interesting campers. Many were very old and had a lot of old garage-type stuff in the yard. The arrangement for many of the sites seemed a bit strange too - we were placed in a section that was supposed to have 5 sites, yet there were only 2 tables and 1 fire ring. I'm hoping no one ever has to share a fire with strangers! Also, there is a gate at the entrance, which is a nice security feature I suppose, but the code changes daily so if you leave you need to stop by each day for an updated code.
The lake is small but quaint. The swimming beach had course sand/dirt with many rocks, so it's not the type you'd relax on in the sun. Overall we had a fair experience, and the people were ok, but I'll probably check out another place next time.
