Review from Katie S.
Temecula, CA
Okay. One word. YUM! Frikkin yum! My typical meal usually goes like this: coconut juice/milk, egg rolls, yellow (mild, beef) curry, pad thai, shrimp fried rice, and drunken noodles. The food is eleven out of ten, the waiters are super nice, and the restaurant itself is very clean and trendy. I will definitely continue to enjoy the food and atmosphere here!

Review from Trish C.
Oceanside, CA
I had the lunch panang curry. I really give this place more of a 3.5 based on what I had. The thai iced tea was great. I did not like the soup served with the lunch, it was bland and boring, chopped up vegetables in broth... pass. Otherwise the seafood curry was very delicious and good quality rice I really did enjoy this component. It's also very nice atmosphere, beautiful really, good service. this would be a great place for a date or a professional lunch.
My only fear is the fountain, it's really cool and I fear you may take your kids here to run around like miniature banshees on crack. Please don't let them use it as a playground, although I did not see this at lunch, I have a sneaking fear it happens all too often... -

The food (drunken noodle & rice) was good for the price. Great atmosphere (good first date location, reasonably priced, looks like a high end restaurant but prices are definitely very reasonable). Not from the area, but would definitely return here again to eat.
The only reason why this did not earn a 5 star rating was the service (on a Thursday night ~9PM) - we waited 5 minutes in a half empty restaurant to even get seated. Took another 30 minutes to get a server to take our order, fill our water glasses and get utensils. Food came out in 20 mins, which is reasonable. Servers were able to accommodate changes to the order. -

Let me explain this 2-star rating. We walked in and you can't help but feel under dressed. It has the look of a 5-star restaurant for sure, and the food is top knotch.
Reasons to drop the stars down to 2-stars:
1. 6 people means 6 plate settings, not 5. My nephew counts.
2. 20 minutes to order and almost 30 minutes to get served (close to an hour total).
3. Half of us got our food and the food for the others came almost 15 minutes later.
4. I need a fork to eat so, I shouldn't have to ask 3 different servers for one.
5. If you see empty plates on the crowded table, take them away!
BUT, again, the food tasted great, just hard to enjoy with crappy service. -

My husband and I love the food here! I love love the beef salad and fried rice! Only one flaw the customer service from the wait staff could be faster! But overall I give it a thumbs up!

This was my first visit and I can't wait to go back. The service was great and the food was even better. I was expecting this place to be packed but I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't. They were busy but not so busy it felt crowded. The ambiance was perfect for a date night. Great place to go if your looking for a nice sit down place with good Thai food

Friendly staff. Started out with our favorite Thai soup: Tom Yum. Ordered it with shrimp. Ridiculously over-salted. Not enough lemon grass flavor. Used American button mushrooms instead of those incredibly tasty and slippery Thai mushrooms :( Ordered the Panang Curry w/chicken. That wasn't bad. Also ordered the Drunken Noodles. Waiter recommended it with pork. Great choice. Per several other reviews, they do this dish very well. My son and I ended with the mango and sticky rice: bomb! Highly recommend this dessert. Probably the best sticky rice & mango that we've ever tried. This was a little too pricey for what we got overall and we were disillusioned with the soup which to me should b one of your signature dishes. Probably wont go back

The thai iced tea was perfect & it was only $1.50 since it was a weekday & lunchtime! I got the coconut soup with tofu & veggies. I got it mild but it was NOT spicy at all so will be getting medium next time. Good thing is they bring you a little spice tray to spice things up. My friend & I also shared the appetizer tray & it was very good minus the chicken kabob. Will be coming back soley for the soup & tea!!

After a long day of wine tasting, we made our way to Aiyara. I made reservations in advance, but the restaurant wasn't very busy. We had the drunken noodles and a spicy deep fried fish dish. The fish was pretty good. I've had better drunken noodles elsewhere, and since I love this dish, I was a little disappointed. The service here was decent, not overbearing, but a little slow for such a quiet Friday night. The do provide a cute ice cream dish if its your birthday though, which was thoughtful of them.

I love Thai food and eat it at least once a week. Most of the time I get yellow curry when I go so when I went here that's what I decided to order. I got it mild and it came out so spicy that I was crying and I couldn't eat it anymore. I asked them to take it back and cool it down and said they couldn't because it was already made that spicy. Most yellow curry's are made with coconut milk and can be cooled down by that but not this place. There curry was already pre-made! Yuck! That means that it was not fresh and it was sitting back in the kitchen picking up all the spices to keep making it spicier.
I even went here because of the high reviews it had on yelp, but it became a disappointment. I will stick with my favorite Thai restaurant the Thai Orchid Restaurant. -

Best tasting Tom Kha Gai - Thai Coconut Soup!
From the decor and the clientele, I didn't think I would be impressed with the Thai food at Aiyara. Being from LA, there's Thai food everywhere in the San Gabriel Valley including Thai town so I've eaten my share of Thai restaurants. Aiyara is slightly more on the expensive side of Thai food, but I think it's because you're in Temecula and not Thai town. But the service is good and friendly and there's plenty of parking. The dining area is very comfortable and the tables aren't all crammed like at other Thai restaurants.
Food wise, it was good too. We loved the Tom Kha Gai so much that we wanted a second serving, but we decided to hold out for our other food. The Pad Thai was tasty but typical, the green curry was good, and the appetizer combo was good as well. All and all, the soup was the best and I think I may just come back because of the soup. -

Temecula, CA
The best Thai restaurant in Temecula! I love the fine dining ambiance and their food is superb. Their Thai iced tea is the best I've had and I don't order it anywhere else. I usually order their Drunken Noodles 'cause it's my favorite dish, but I plan on trying everything else. It's also convenient 'cause it's right across the mall if you want to go shopping after. Overall, this is a highly recommended place!

I don't see the hype with this place. Yes it's really nice inside and seems like a place you would find downtown San Diego. And that's exactly it too. The food is good and tasty, for the lunch special comes with salad and soup. But the service was just so frigid. No one asked what drink I wanted or if everything was ok. And they charge to use credit card if under $15. So I paid cash and got 5% off cuz I used cash. I mean come on!!!! This place is not a hole-in-the-wall. It is pretty classy looking. That's horrible to encourage people to use cash when chances are you can charge. Anyway , the music was laughable, jazzy Duffy type music was playing, you know YMCA but jazzy and swingy. Just soooo out of place for a thai restaurant. I just don't know if I can come back here. But if you like PF Changs, then you'll like it here. As for me, I'll go to @ Thai BBQ cuz that place is off the hook!

Menifee, CA
The first Thai food I ever experienced. Since then I have been to probably over 20 establishments. With that said I still thought Aiyara still ranked high. Recently, however, I returned and was not happy with food. Maybe there are new owners because the staff is completely different and the food is not the same. The prices have increased and the quality of the food has decreased. To site specifics for fairness, the Tom Yum is different. The straw mushrooms were replaced with standard buy anywhere mushrooms. The food is bland, while the prices have increased by 20% in some cases. I will probably will not return. Disappointing because this has always been my "go to" thai restaurant. Wish the new owners had left well enough alone.

Been here several times since my last review, and I am still in love with this restaurant!
Aiyara recently redesigned their menus - pleased to see that. Their music still cracks me up - listening to female artists with angelic voices singing a slow version of "Welcome to the Jungle" makes me giggle.
Pad Thai (chicken) never disappoints... my favorite dish!
Cashew nut (beef) is delicious - and addicting
Basil (chicken) - satisfying, but the cashew nut prevails
I'm surprised to hear some reviewers talk about the lack of flavor. There were two occasions I wasn't impressed with the entrees because they were slightly bland:
1) Sweet and Sour chicken - they bring it out just after it's been cooked. Let it sit for awhile so the sauce marinates the meat; then it'll gain flavor.
2) Entrees without vegetables: Not Recommended. I had a friend ask to have her entree without peppers and onions - the vegetables MAKE the dishes here in my opinion. It's a combination you don't want to mess with. Well, I don't anyway!Listed in: Never-Ending Glory

LOVE IT! I come whenever I'm in Temecula for work. They are prompt (for takeout) and the price is right.
Their spring rolls are fabulous, and the entrees I've had were all top notch.

Temecula, CA
I was really excited to try this place because of the high rating after so many reviews. However, my expectations were let down. We went on a Friday at 6:30 p.m. and the place was about 90% full. We got a table right away and the service was very good. Plenty of staff and attentive. The place was clean. Our order was taken right away, drinks came, soup came, then food came plenty hot, etc. The reason I am giving this place a 2 star - is because it is exactly what 2 stars is...I have experienced better. The reason I did not rate higher is the food was not all that spectacular like others said, at least, for my experience. The chicken was tough. We had Tom Yum soup (too sweet), we had Panang Chicken (good but not blow my socks off and chicken was tough) and we had drunken noodles (too sweet). I am not sure why everything was so sweet - maybe the chef loves sugar? I have had better Thai in Temecula. The week prior I had Panang Chicken at the Thai Restaurant near 24 Hour Fitness (lunch) and it was better. However, my favorite is the Thai restaurant off of 79 South next to the Temecula Pizza Company - that is a true secret gem of a Thai restaurant. The other problem with Airaya was it was a little too pricey as compared to the other Thai restaurants.

I went based on recomendations from friends but was under impressed. Had Drunken Noodle, regular spice. I figured frst time visit i should test the waters with something standard. I found it bland with not much flavor, regardless of the spice level. Maybe i'll turn it up next time.

Best Thai Food in Temecula!!!
I love Aiyara! Been here 3-4 times and it is always awesome. Reminds me of my trip to Bangkok and Chiang Mai in 2009.
Food here is authentic and tasty. Service is top-notch. Restaurant is spacious and comfortable. Parking is easy and abundant. Cannot ask for anything more. -

I love this place. I love their Green Curry. I tried so many times and can't get enough of it. I always order lunch special. Price here is bit expensive but it comes with salad, rice and curry. It definitely make me full.
I tried Red curry also but it wasn't good as Green curry. I'm going to try everything they have. -

Review from Lalo G.
I really dig Thai food and Aiyara gets my praise for making some if the best I've had in Temecula.
I stopped in for lunch this past Sunday and ordered a few of my Thai favorites.
The satay chicken skewers were excellent. The chicken was tender, moist, and served with the most awesome satay peanut sauce. Definitely a must have to prime the palate.
Next up, the soup! I always order soup at Thai restaurants and this time I tried the Tom Kha. Here's the description straight from the menu: "The aromatic, mild & delicious creamy coconut soup with the elusive flavored of galanga, lemongrass, mushroom, kaffir lime leaves, garnished with cilantro." Seriously, you can't go wrong! The hot pot is enough to share or just pig out in Tom Kha heaven.
For the main dish I chose the Drunken Noodles with chicken - HOT! There's nothing better than a little heat to help you kick that cold or clean out your nasal cavity. After sweating profusely for ten minutes, I realized I just had one of the best Thai food experiences in town.
The service was excellent and every dish came out promptly after the last, served fresh and hot.
My mouth is salivating just writing this. I can't wait to go back! -

This is our favorite Thai restaurant in Temecula. We have been to Thailand and we feel the food here is very authentic. I highly recommend the chicken satay, pad thai and the curries, especially red and panang. The atmosphere is nice and the servers are professional and nice. You can have a quiet dinner here. We really like it and it is now the only Thai place we frequent in Temecula.

Hands down the best Thai food in the area. I tend to order the same sort of dishes when I go out for Thai, but I took a chance with some different fare to stay on the more affordable lunch menu. Vegetable soup was terrific--flavorful broth and crisp veggies. Beef panang was kicked up to "medium" and it was perfect. Again, crisp veggies, lots of tender beef, and rice cooked to perfection. Side salad came with peanut sauce that was tasty, too. All the food was exceptionally flavorful--not just standard coconut milk and red chili paste. I would only add that, had the wait staff been a bit more attentive (not once did anyone check on me after I'd been given my meal), I would have given five stars. They are friendly though, and I know I'll be back.

I've been craving fried catfish with mango sauce for quite some time and it's been so difficult to find it at a Thai restaurant but after seeing reviews on this place, I figured I can check this place out and see if they have it. We got there and the ambiance is just beautiful, with the wine bar, the elegant setting, very quiet and we got seated right next to the elephants fountain.
I asked the waitress if they had the catfish on the menu and said that since no one really ordered it, they took it off the menu. I was disappointed but decided to order the seafood delight in replacement. My husband had the pad see you due to my suggestion. Both of our dishes came out perfectly! My husband finished his plate, enjoyed his beer and I was very delighted by the seafood delight with my side of coconut water.
My husband's favorite dessert is the mango with cococnut sticky rice but we can't always order it due to the seasons but we lucked out this time and they had it. It really hit the spot, what a great way to end our date night!
My husband can't stop raving about this place and wants to come back again soon, so this is now one of our local favorites. -

Temecula, CA
So to start, I have been here three times, trying different dishes each time, hoping that this restaurant would live up to its reviews - sadly, it didn't, and after three strikes, Aiyara is out. This restaurant is near where I work, and Thai food is my favorite food to enjoy, hands down, so I figured I was incredibly lucky to have this restaurant nearby.
The Pros:
The restaurant is absolutely stunning
The staff is friendly and attentive
Location, location, location.
The Cons:
The three times I went, I had some of the most mediocre Thai food of my life.
If you want the BEST Thai in Temecula, I suggest you keep looking. There is an amazing Thai restaurant in town that I adore, just try different ones, and you will find it! Sometimes its the hidden gems that will knock your socks off!
When I asked for them to make my food spicy, it still always ended up very bland.
Finally the prices - in comparison with other Thai restaurants I visit, Aiyara seems pretty pricey for the food that you get.
In closing, a lot of people love this place, so they must be doing something right. However, when I treat myself to Thai, I like it to be full of flavor, with a great portion size, for a decent price. I have yet to find that here. Good luck, and I hope your experiences here are much better than mine! -

This is our go-to place for Thai food...it's delicious! We've tried several items on the menu but always go back to Pad Thai and Panang curry. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is good, and the food is outstanding. What more could you ask for? Try it for yourself...

In my quest to like Temecula, my friend and I decided to venture out and try some local restaurants. We decided on Aiyara since it had so many great reviews on yelp. But coming from LA where the selection of thai food is endless and wonderful, I was a little skeptical of what this town could offer.
Surprisingly, Aiyara wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The restaurant is located on the outskirts of the mall. It's next to the parking structure on the Margarita Rd side. The place is really romantic inside. Dim lights, lion statues, and a small water fountain in the middle of the whole place. Felt a little too romantic for my girl-on-girl date but we didn't let that deter us from having a great time.
The service was OK. With less than half of the restaurant occupied, it still took the hostess several minutes before she acknowledged our presence and seated us. Then it took forever for a waiter to come to ask for our drinks and order. Needless to say, the service bothered me. The only good service was that I noticed was that my water glass was never empty.
As for the food, my friend and I comically ordered the same dish--pad see ew with chicken. Great minds think alike I guess. Anyway, the portion size was great. I could have easily eaten the whole thing there, but I saved half and got 2 meals out of it. The dish was pretty good. I've had better but this was still tasty. The noodles were a little overcooked in my opinion so they got mushy fast, but the overall flavor was there.
The prices are reasonable here. For pad see ew it was around $8.50. I would say that most dishes here were around that price which is really nice considering the ambiance here is really great. Could make for a romantic cheap first date! Hahah.
I would consider coming back if I really wanted Thai food. Service could use a bit of work but the food is decent. I guess Temecula isn't that bad after all. -

My aunt was in town from NJ and she's a big fan of Thai Food - checked out this restaurant based on the reviews I read from this site. Glad I did! The restaurant is welcoming, not stuffy and not decked out with cheesy decor. The food is great, there's plenty of variety and the service is wonderful.
I would definitely recommend this place! -

Ok, let me start by saying that, I really love this place!!
I just went to Aiyara again yesterday for Valentines Day with my boyfriend. We had no reservations and were able to walk right in, and be seated at a table which is great. There is usually not a wait here.
We ordered chicken pad-see-you, shrimp yellow curry (medium spicy), and shrimp pad thai. All of them were about $9-$10 each, and since we added shrimp they were $2 or $3 more. The pad thai is some of the best I've had in a long time! The shrimps were so garlicky and delicious and really complemented the dish well. I also liked how they had finely chopped peanuts on the side. The other dishes were great and I also love how light the curry flavor is here.
The ambiance is wonderful and this place has more of an upscale feel and décor (they use white linen napkins instead of paper here). The service is prompt and courteous.
The only thing that made me give this place 4 stars, instead of 5 is the portion size of the food. You will need to order 2-3 dishes for 2 people if you are starving. I have been to other Thai places (which were not as nearly as nice inside) where you could share 2 dishes, leave stuffed, and have tons of leftovers. At Aiyara you'll get a medium sized portion (not skimpy, but not overflowing either). But I guess that's how they can afford to have such a nice, romantic, upscale environment.
But overall, I love this place and will be back again:) -

Best Thai food in Temecula, hands down.
The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, you hardly expect the food to be so reasonably priced. Service is always fast and friendly, and there seems to never be a wait, which is a huge plus when you're really hungry (and I usually am).
Everything is always so delicious! I haven't had an entrée or appetizer I haven't liked. The mock duck is my favorite, especially with the red curry or drunken noodles.
Always a must-have when I'm in the area. -

Temecula, CA
I took my family to eat here tonight and really enjoyed myself. I sometimes find it difficult to find places to eat with a two year old. They usually see you coming into the door and tend to put you in a crummy section, and ignore you the whole time. This was not the case here. They immediately started to chat with my very active little boy and he just loved them all. They spent a great deal of time talking with my son and playing "peek-a-boo" with him behind their check presenter. The service was great for the adults as well. We never needed anything and they always kept our drinks filled.
On to the Food:
I had the Green Curry (medium spicy). It had Thai basil, bamboo shoots, bell peppers and peas, in a coconut curry sauce. It was just delicious!! the heat level was warm, but not enough to blow your head off. The coconut flavor was also well balanced and didn't overpower the rest of the dish. We also ordered the Pad Thai noodles and liked them a lot. My wife ordered the Rad-Na noodles with chicken and Chinese broccoli . That dish was pretty good. My wife really liked it, but it needed more spice for me. I suppose that would be a good dish for those in your group who do not like dishes too spicy.
I would definitely recommend this place.
enjoy. -

Wow, just coming to this page to write the review, and reading the other reviews, is making my mouth water. This place is THAT good!
Five stars for the atmosphere and decor, five stars for the above & beyond and friendly service, and a MILLION stars for the food!
We had cream cheese wontons as an appetizer plus their specialty, Pad Thai with both tofu and chicken [spicy], Duck Curry (sauce was yellow) [medium] with white rice, and Thai iced tea. We were too stuffed for dessert because their portions were so large but hopefully next time we'll get to try something. Speaking of large portions.. we had plenty leftover for the next day, we just steamed up some of our own rice to go with the leftover duck curry. YUM!
Highly recommended and will be coming back again! -

Amazing.....yes, AMAZING food! My new favorite restaurant!
I've been here twice, and I would eat here every day. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is nice, the service is friendly, and the prices are cheap!
The first time I went they were under-staffed, they had 2 huge parties, and everything was super slow! We spent about 30 minutes waiting to be seated (we were the next party to be seated when we arrived), 20 minutes waiting for an appetizer, another 20-30 minutes waiting for our food. By the time we left we had been there for 2 hours! But even in spite of that, the food and friendly service brought me back!
They have a great selection and everything I've tried tastes great!
Try the Chicken or Beef Satay, Yellow Curry Chicken, and the Drunken Noodles!
Go now!
