I use to attend this place almost every week. But then I stopped when I discovered fields in Simi Vally, and San Diego.
It goes to show that despite the fact that I lived 1 minute away from this Airsoft Field, something prompted me to drive an hour or two else where to seek a better time.
It had been almost a year since I've returned and I came back Thursday Night. And BOY WAS I SURPRISED!
BIG BIG BIG Changes had been made, and it starts with a man named "Sonny" with an "O". Under new management means, better organization, renovation, service to best suit the costumers.
The Variety of Daily Specials and Incentives Add a dramatic twist to their appeal. For example, Free Rentals on Thursday Nights definitely make it easier on Beginners to attend. Ladies Night on Sunday's allows you to vent your frustration on your girlfriend for taking you shopping with her.
And so on....
PROS: Better Organization and a Disciplined Staff means faster more efficient fair games. Great for Beginners who need someone to hold their hand and walk them through.
CONS: Tough Rules means, you can't go too crazy. Realism of combat is suspended in a bit of disbelief.
But after all this isn't a game about Winning or Losing. Its about having fun shooting the crap out of other players and doing it as many times as you want to in the course of the day/night.

This place has some gay-ass surrender rule in which if you're within 10 feet of someone on the other team you have to ask them to surrender. I'm not even kidding.. And if you and an enemy combatant both pop out and yell surrender at the same time, you BOTH are dead, and have to leave the field.
I never adhere to this gayass rule they have and get in trouble for it sometimes. One time it was just me and one guy from the other team still alive, 1 on 1, and I was NOT going to lose. I had already killed 3 people and it was my first game of the day and I was feeling invincible. So when he ran up behind me yelling SURRENDER SURRENDER I was like nope and turned around and lit his ass up.
THAT'S HOW I DO IT THAT'S JUST HOW I DO IT....... I DON'T SURRENDER.....
And we won thanks to me, and the referee threw a hissyfit and complained about how I wasn't allowed to do that and I was just like right, right...
I think like half the referees have some kind of inferiority complex and are babies about everything and get you in trouble for every little thing.
I've gotten in trouble for sliding on the floor, using holes in broken boards as firing ports, shooting people who've surrendered, shooting people who've surrendered me, shooting people who I'm supposed to surrender(I DON'T TAKE PRISONERS), shooting people after I'm already dead, shooting people after they're already dead, shooting people too much, using my girlfriend's head as a bipod, pistol-whipping a cheater, throwing a grenade at a referee who won't call a cheater, shooting a referee, using people as human shields, yelling at people, cheating on the chrono, doing kamikaze/suicide runs, shooting out the window in the break room, attempting to blow up a fire-extinguisher by shooting it, spawn-raping people in re-spawn games, and not concealing my guns outside (you need ****ing gun-bags just to get your guns to and from your car).
Amazingly I've NEVER gotten in a fight here despite all the testosterone and adrenaline that gets flowing, and they've NEVER banned me despite all the trouble I've gotten into.
One douche bag even shot me like 50 times with this strong-ass gun and I threw my gun at him and got in his face. I didn't even get in any real trouble, just got lectured from some referees who are under the impression that they're in charge.
One time I trapped some cheater in a shed and stuck my gun in the window and shot him like 200 times and the referee was just like knock that off and the guy limped off the field crying.
Despite their overly-sensitive rules and their inability to ban trouble-makers like me, airsoft playground can be really really fun, for beginners. I think it's always the really good experienced players like me who are usually frustrated I didn't kill 10 people the previous round, and the people who its their first time airsofting who are like OMG THITH ITH THO FUN I THUDVE KNOWN ABOUT THITH THOONER!
But I think all the CQC in this place evens everyone out a bit and good players like me can only really excel on big, outdoor fields. And in this small place you're never far from the fighting so people who don't know wtf they're doing will never somehow get lost and never see combat like what often happens to beginners on the big outdoor fields.
Another thing I don't like about this place is that you can wear as much body armor as you want, so people can wear ****ing football pads and never even know when they've been shot. But you'll always have vulnerable areas on your body that might get shot.
My friend got shot 7 times on the back/top of his head one round. I don't know if he was trying to moon them or lay down or what but apparently he was in some kind of position pointing the top/back of his head towards the enemy.
One time some kid got shot in the neck on the bare skin and was bleeding. He claimed he got shot in the jugular and I'm like no you didn't but he didn't believe me and had an ambulance come pick him up and take him to the hospital.
The store at this place has a horrible selection and is way overpriced. I think they sell used BBs cuz I saw some lady who works here picking the BBs up off the ground and putting them into a bag when she thought no one was looking. For those of you who don't know, used BBs kill your gun.
And the food/drink selection they have here is despicable. Airsofting gets you dehydrated really fast and they sell SODA, not even sports drinks or water, just warm cans of SODA at $2 a piece. They have an hour dinner break where you can go to the nearby Carl's Jr. and buy a bigger, cheaper, colder soda I guess but it's still ****ing SODA. So remember to bring your own drinks or your ****ed.
Despite its shortcomings, this place is pretty fun for some gay-ass CQC place and I'll be generous and give them 3-stars since they haven't banned me (yet).

I go to this place every thrusday, and i is my fav place right now. The good thing is that airsoftplayground is near by and is open almost everyday. The only day it is closed is on tuesday, so whenever you are having a bad day at work and just want to shoot somewhere you can head down to airsoftplayground and play some games. They have rental guns and face masks, so if you have some newbie friends that want to try it out, it is the prefect place. I have to warn everyone if you go during the weekends, the place is a zoo, and tend that have some cheaters. If you are a newbie i suggest you try it out during the week, so you won't get killed right away.
Great place for airsoft in the LA county. There isn't another place in LA that has airsoft. The regular crowds vary quite a bit from the older, mature, all out players, to the young newbies. If you're playing with the right crowd it can be a great time. Samson, the owner is a good guy. Tell him you want 2 teams and he'll break it up so that all the older people are playing with each other and newbies and playing with themselves. Overall a great place and a godsend for airsoft players in Los Angeles.
