WHAT!!!??? Fine cuisine at a gas station? Well...ok...not fine cuisine, but GOOD cuisine...if you like subs and sandwiches.
Nestled inside a 7/11 type of gas station is the Airport Square Deli. They boast and advertise that they use Boar's Head deli meats in their sandwiches. And I can tell you without a doubt, the meats there are much better than Subways or Quiznos The meat is flavorful and much more tender. than the chains. A foot long meat sub is $6.59. Thats about what just fries and tax is in Wash DC. They put in about twice to 3 times the meat as you would find in a Subway sub. You also have your choice of toppings like Subway as well.
The deli has over 2 dozen different types of subs and sandwiches. They are also a Tastee Freez franchise as well.
If you are in the Baltimore airport area and want a good sub or sandwich...this is the place to go.. They are also open 24 hours. The place is very well lighted, and is near good hotels...so its basically as safe as you can be near a big city. I would feel completely safe in the middle of the night if i had to go here for something.
So get your sub, aspirins, and quart of motor oil all at the same stop. -

Not too shabby for a deli in a gas station!!
I was definitely skeptical about trying this place, mostly due to my preconceptions about food coming from a gas station, but it wasn't bad at all! Sandwiches are made to order with Boar's Head deli meat, and there are lots of options for meats, cheeses, breads, and condiments. My sandwich was ready quickly, and while it was somewhat sloppily constructed, the quality and quantity of ingredients was good.
