Positives: They have the lowest prices you will find. Salespeople are knowledgeable and friendly. Store hours are ok and they are open on the weekends. Lots of items in the store and high likelihood that what you are considering buying will be there in the store.
Negatives: Sales people are very very busy. they may or may not get back to you when they are supposed to. I bought multiple appliance from our salesperson and when I returned for follow up discussions she was fen too busy to help. One a couple times she didn't even call me back. But like I said, he prices are rock bottom. -

Not sure why people keep patronizing this location. After spending 14,000.00 worth of merchandise (Dacor 48" range), Miele washer, etc, their followup has been very poor.

I recently came in to get a new fridge and have been very happy with my purchase thus far. Before making my purchase, I did a lot of reviews and shopped around a bit with different retailers.
Roman was very knowledgable and provided great customer service without being too pushy. He was able to answer my questions about different brands they had on hand.
I'm pretty surprised at all the negative reviews this place has. I guess I came in on good day. If you do choose to shop at Airport Appliance, ask for Roman to assist you. -

I bought a washer, dryer and a range top. The range to would not work out in my kitchen. It took 4 months to get it returned. Nothing but a head ache. The dryer was serviced 6 times in one year that took many many phone calls to their corporate office customer service to get any help. And today one year and 2 day after I bought them the washer broke down called customer service again and again got a recording. They don't stand by what they sell.

Should've yelped it!!! My bad. So sad...The whimisical trot through the showroom and wham bam thank you ma'am. I now have a new washer and dryer. Fancy enough but I can't even use the Steamer function that I paid extra for. And I have extra parts that I apparently paid for. Plus my dryer was on back order for 3+ weeks and they did nothing to credit/accommodate me. Poor, poor service.

I went inside to ask questions. They approached me quickly. They were nice enough. Took the time to show me things although I did feel rushed (:
Went home to research the info they gave me and the appliance that was highly recommended was panned in the consumer report review :(, although this may be the case for this type of appliance. Tempature reference settings he gave me for sanitation mode was incorrect per DIY website.
Wasn't expecting a great place but still better than home depot.
For a potential customer who is about to replace a kitchen and washer dryer within a years time you would think that....
better service through reference materials, honest opinions... -

I give Airport Appliances 5 stars because they have a great selection in appliances and their service is great! When you walk into the store and see the inventory, you feel that you have many options. They are friendly and courteous.
Simon is great to work with and he will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. He is extremely knowledgeable in the industry because he has been in it for so many years, and has a wonderful positive attitude! If you have any questions about any appliance he will know the answer, and he is great to work with! -

Do NOT purchase your appliances from these folks!!! Unless you want a lot of hassle and run-around!
Now, our new Thermador range that was just installed doesn't work. And instead of replacing it, they tell me to get it serviced under the Thermador warranty.
This is exactly what I was trying to avoid by buying from a brick and mortar store...buying a lemon and being left out to dry. I couldve gotten the same defective product with a lot less attitude and paid a few grand less on the interwebs.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

First Thing ; Mr Simon = Horrible
Prices not much better then anyone else really.
Customer service Poor
I don't need to say anything that has not been said in other review except for the one 5 star review but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Will not do business with them again, worst experience ever.
They sure pay a lot for press on KRON to have such poor customer service. -

This is my first bad review I've had to write. Delivery service sucked.
I bought three appliances December 27th. By January 10th, I called to see what the problem was. I got a phone message machine which was too full to leave a message twice. Third call a few days later... they finally answered and told me that the items were in the warehouse ready for delivery (I wonder how long they had been ready?) We scheduled for that same week on January 17th. They delivered only two of the three items. ( I will say the delivery guys who are contracted were top notch. They hooked up the dishwasher and fridge, explained instructions clearly... very efficient. )
I had to make calls AGAIN about the missing trash compactor. They told me it had not arrived at the warehouse and they would phone when they could bring.
ANOTHER two weeks and I have to call to see what's going on. They said they would get it to me that week on Friday Jan. 28th. They would call with the time of delivery the day before. Guess what? It's Jan 28th and I'm sitting here waiting... they never call. I phone the sales person and he says I can come pick it up in Redwood City. Huh? I paid for delivery, installation and removal of the old one. So while I wait here for some kind of resolution decided to write my first negative review. I do feel a little better now.
Here's the ridiculous time frame:
12/27 I purchase 3 items
1/17 two items delivered
1/28 no show for delivery of third item.
Maybe by February it will be installed? -

I am writing two reviews for Airport Appliance, first on the sales process and the second on installation. The sales process gains 5 stars; the installation gains just one star.
Our dishwasher broke suddenly 3 days ago. I spent about 4 hours the next morning working through web sites for Sears, Best Buy and others. I called several other places as well. I knew what I wanted (going by consumer reports), and was price and availability checking.
I found Sam at Airport Appliance. He was so easy to deal with and gave excellent customer service! I certainly wish I had called him first. The process took me about 10 minutes from start to finish, he was a gentleman and was very knowledgable. His costs were from $350 to $225 less than Sears and Best Buy. He delivered the next day (compared to weeks from both big box stores). He followed up with me, and even helped me complete the PG&E rebate form.
Sam is a consummate professional, and I would certainly buy from him again. Five big stars for Sam.
Installation is another story. It was raining and the installation team had nothing to cover their feet and tracked mud all over the house. The cable repair guy who was here at the same time had booties to cover his muddy feet. The cleaners are here now trying to clean my hardwood floors. The installers have left a permanent dark mud stain on my clear wood hardwood floors.
The installers also dumped water all over the floor and flooded the kitchen. They used two white bathtowels to clean up (they are now permanently grey).
They had a lot of issues getting the dishwasher installed, and banged the thing around so much I am not sure what may have happened to it.
They removed in insulation to install it, and I am not sure what the ramifications are of that.
Installers get just ONE STAR. -

Airport Home Appliance might have good deals, but their customer service is horrendous! For anyone looking to purchase an appliance, I highly recommend spending a little more with a business that appreciates it's customers enough to return phone calls.
Our new washing machine flooded our laundry room/home due to it's improper installation, causing damage to our second floor and garage ceiling, and it took AHA 6+ months, and countless calls EVERY MONTH to get an acceptable resolution. At first, they ignored the calls, then when I called the owner, someone returned our calls, but placed blame on their delivery company, and forced us to work with them, and they in turn gave us the run-around. I would think if AHA employs a delivery company, and this company isn't working with the customer, they would get involved. WRONG.
Also, our salesman, Dave West, made sold us our washer and dryer, promising certain rebates that were erroneous, and when he said he would get it reimbursed by AHA, it took months, and repeat phone calls to get this resolved as well.
I would give AHA ZERO stars based on their customer service and follow-through. -

Cheesy snake-oil salesman leaves a bad taste!
I was in the market for a new gas range, and decided to check out this store in Redwood City. It has a cheery, inviting appearance from the street, with slogans pasted on its windows: "Tons of Choices! Great Selection! Unbeatable Prices!" Etc.
I am greeted by Tarek, and tell him that I am looking at a few different ranges. He shows me one of my options, a KitchenAid range. He's called away, so I take a closer look while he's gone. The controls include regular "Bake," "Convect," but also "Easy Convect." I read the manual about how "Easy Convect " converts standard baking temperatures and times to the lower/faster settings appropriate for convection ovens. Nice.
Tarek comes back and I ask him what Easy Convect is, just to see what he'll say. He says with great confidence, "Some European ranges don't use true convection, but have a different convection mode where they don't use a fan," and goes on and on with some cockamamie story, which has nothing to do with what Easy Convect actually does. Finally, I pick up the manual and pretend to scan it, saying, "Hmm, this says something different." He reads it and admits that he got it wrong, but hardly blinks an eye. Then I ask him what material is used for the white range (vs. stainless steel) and he says, it's "Ceramic White." I say, "So isn't that just coated metal?" He insists, "No, it's a special material." But of course he can't tell me what the special material actually is when I press him.
At this point I decide he probably sold wireless routers or something in his last job and is faking it, but I want to see whether the pricing is any good. He pulls the total hard sell on me: "We have three in stock and I can give you the wholesale price, but you have to buy now," blah blah blah. I tell him I'll give him a call if I'm still interested, and go down the street to Davies Appliances. Surprise--they are offering a considerably better price than the "wholesale price" without any of this idiocy.
Only go to this place if you want to entertain yourself by testing your knowledge of appliances against the salespeople...you will most likely win! -

I would have to say go into the shop first only if you've done your own research on products, including prices, etc. AND, only if you deal with Gabriel. We ended up purchasing a Samsung refridgerator and they did honor a price match. Also we had a few follow up questions, and not only was he friendly, but prompt in returning our calls. He also went out of his way to fix a minor problem we had, and we will go back in the future for other purchases. I called a few times when Gabriel was not around, and had the displeasure of taking in some slacky attitude on the telephone when I had a few questions to ask about another appliance. That would be my only complaint...but overall, Gabriel was great to work with and so far we love our new fridge!

I thought i found a good appliance place, so that i wouldn't have to go to Best Buy....but after a couple purchases i can say this place is full of cheesy sales people who are more concerned about the next transaction than customer service, and i won't go back.
My washer and dryer installation was weeks delayed, and I'm still waiting for them to credit my card with a refund for a microwave that i returned 6+ weeks ago and have called 4 times on it. -

Long (long very long) story short:
Fridge ordered, did not arrive when it was supposed to, did not have ice maker it was supposed to (which we didn't figure out until we actually got the fridge), finally got ice maker installed. Rarely got a call back from ANYONE (except Jake in the warehouse and Carol the supervisor - and even Carol rarely called back, I just dealt with her so many times, she was bound to call me back at least once or twice), and managed to speak to a different person EVERY time I called (so I of course had to repeat the problems about 16 times). All in all, it was a HORRIFIC experience.
Simon (our salesman) was awful (boy do I wish I'd read some of these reviews before going in!!), his supervisor, Carol was fairly helpful (when I would call her, as I said, she rarely called me back), Jake in the warehouse was great, everyone else in the warehouse has their heads up their you-know-whats, the delivery guy we had was great, and Bobby (the ice maker installer) was great. They did also credit us some cash, though I did have to follow up on it.
If you can help it, don't go through Airport Appliance - and if you can't help it, and you get Simon approaching you to help, ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE!!! -

I purchased all my kitchen appliances -new range, fridge, dishwasher, microwave/hood - at this new Redwood City location. Diana Varela was wonderful with helping me choose the best appliances for the way I cook (rarely) and my budget. Diana asked questions on what I features I needed and wished for, really listened to the answers, and made terrific recommendations.
After Diana provided an estimate with prices and model numbers, I did a bit of comparison shopping - only Home Depot was lower, and Airport Home Appliance not only met that price, but gave me a better warranty on the fridge! They also provided a complete set of receipts and forms for any rebates I was due.
When I had to change the delivery date of my appliances due to bad information provided by my contractor, Diana took care of it immediately.
The delivery went smoothly and the deliverymen were very nice and patient (had to keep waiting for the elevator). They removed my old appliances and had the new ones in my condo within an hour.
I can't wait for my kitchen remodel to be complete so I can put these new appliances to use! -

I wish I could give NO stars. Terrible customer service and poor delivery coordination. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I went there for a refrigerator, stove, stove hood, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The first person I saw was the woman you see in commercials, Chris. What a nasty person she was. She was annoyed when I walked up to her at a desk and asked for help. She acted put out and annoyed and said she would find someone to help me. Apparently she is too good to actually work. A very nice young lady helped me who was very pregnant, I ordered my items and then I had a problem when it came to delivery. They told me I had to talk to the sales person who helped me. Turned out the young lady was now out on maternity leave so NO ONE wanted to help me. I think they work on commission so if they could not be bothered with me. Every time I called I was told I needed to speak with so and so and I had to explain that she was not there. Then there was a pause where the person on the phone would say they were not sure who could help me then. What a bunch of losers. They dented my new frig upon delivery and then said they could take it back but probably could not get me a new one for another month. I asked about a discount and I was told that maybe the dent was my fault and they hardly make any profit on that particular frig and did not want to give a discount. The delivery guys were very nice, but the warehouse, delivery coordinators and management SUCK. All I can say is RUN, run quick in the other direction!

Do not ever shop at Airport Appliance!!! They are total crooks!!!
I called in to order a high end washer and dryer to their main office in the East Bay for delivery at my home in San Mateo. I spoke with Moe Enischi who told me he had been with the company for 12 years and was very knowledgeable of the product. He broke down the costs of the units I was buying and all the associated costs involved in the delivery and hook-up. I reconfirmed the costs with him multiple times. I gave him my credit card and he assured me that he would send an emailed invoice and would have the product delivered in the next couple of days.
That evening I got a call from Cecil in their office saying that there was a mistake on the product codes and that they needed to talk to me. I called back and spoke with Mary Ann the manager there. She told me the same thing, then kept me on hold for another 20 minutes while she was researching this and when she got back to me could not give me any details of what was going on. She told me that Cecil would call me back, which he never did. I later called Mary Ann again and she then told me it would cost me an additional $400 for what I was buying. I told her that was interesting since she never confirmed with me what specific product I was actually buying and they had told me that was where the mix up was. When I asked her to give me the total costs of the purchase she was unable to do so. She said she didn't have the invoice yet she knew that it was going to cost an additional $400.
I told her to cancel my order. That I was not going to do business with them. That their actions were no more than a classic bait and switch. And, that they needed to cancel my credit card information.
These guys were so bad the next day I called my credit card company to verify that Airport Appliance had indeed not put any sales thru on my credit card and it was a good thing that I did. Not only did they put thru my original sale, but had put it thru a second time and double billed me. I was able to cancel the charge with my credit card company, but had to cancel my card as well, since they had my credit card number and were clearly fraudulent in their business dealings. -

Appalled by poor customer service! The company sold us a broken refrigerator -- a damaged component kept the freezer & fridge compartments running at room temperature!
Instead of inspecting the refrigerator before the sale, Airport Appliance had the nerve to tell us afterwards that "it's not our company's fault the unit's broken". (Here's a tip for them: inspect what you sell!)
A week later, Airport Appliance sent a repairman. Upon inspection, he said he needed '30 days' to get the equipment to effectively diagnose the problem.
Not good... So naturally, we demanded an exchange of the refrigerator. To give credit to Airport Appliance, their management team was kind and accommodating during the exchange... But their deliverymen were something else! They initially committed to a Monday delivery. On the Sunday before, we received a call that "your city is too far from our route, let's go for Wednesday morning". Come Wednesday morning, we receive a call that "our delivery truck is broken, let's schedule for this afternoon". My mother-in-law, who requested the morning off from work to handle the delivery, had to suddenly take the entire day off.
For these reasons, I cannot recommend Airport Appliance to those who value time-management, consistent quality service, and enjoy having fresh food in the home! -

The customer service in this store is appalling. We had ordered three appliances from Simon and was told that they would all be in by the weekend (within 3 days). We got a truck ready for the weekend so that we could pick them up. However, none of the appliances were in by then.
I called almost every day to get some sort of update from Simon and finally he called me back and said two of the items would be in Tuesday (almost a week after ordering) and the other item wouldn't be in until 1 month later. 1 month?? I complained that the truck we had ready would no longer be available and Simon offered to deliver the appliances that were ready (hence the only reason for the two stars).
As for the remaining appliance, it arrived even later than predicted, about a month and a week. We had no way to pick it up so it sat there for another few weeks until we could arrange pick-up. Also, we only bought this model because they pushed the $50 PG&E rebate we would get. When we got it, we found out it only qualified for a $30 rebate. They flat out lied about the rebate it was eligible for.
Just don't go here. It's not worth the trouble. You can find a better deal elsewhere and for less hassle. They lie; they are rude. There is no reason to come here. -

I had a relatively good experience here. We ordered a washer & dryer from Airport Home Appliance on a Thursday. I'd set up delivery for a Monday and on Saturday when they called to give me the 2 hour window, they informed me the washer was damaged so they had to order a new one. Unfortunately I hadn't done laundry in like 2 weeks (I had problems with Sears delivering my previous TWO washer & dryers, DO NOT GO THERE) so I had to cancel my order.
They were very helpful in cancelling and offered to sell me the floor model if I needed it sooner. I really just wanted one new so I ended up going elsewhere, but they were great and I would certainly recommend them. Their prices were very good and they don't charge for delivery. -

This was one of the worse shopping experience I've ever had. The deal was solid, the service sucked. First, I called the salesperson to buy a Frigidaire set after seeing a newspaper ad. He didn't call me back. Because deal was solid, I went into store next day and bought the set. The only thing I asked for was to make sure they had in stock and to deliver on time as it was time sensitive. She said no problem. The week it was to be delivered, she said the microwave not ordered. Delay by a week as they only order weekly. When they delivered, it was wrong fridge after 4 hr. delivery window. Then they wouldn't pick up old fridge because not on delivery instruction even though I specified to saleswoman and checked again. Fridge delivered didn't have water/ice dispenser as the one I bought. Now I need to have another one replaced and wait for the darn delivery people on another 4 hour window AGAIN. I will never shop their again. This is the worse experience I have ever had, and this will hopefully be the worse review I ever write in the future. It's not worth saving a few bucks here. I've wasted many hours of my life already. Avoid or be forewarned like many other Yelp reviews have said.

Hello All,
This Airport Home Appliance is in Redwood City (across the street from the Target Store).
- Bought a fridge here.
Here are some tips to getting the best deal at this place:
1) Do your homework and know your prices on the appliances
2) Be willing to walk out if they are not being reasonable
The service plan here does not cost a lot ($99.00 - 60 months) relative to Sears (~$280-$410 for 3yr/5yr).
I negotiated a good price for the fridge by using the deal I got at Sears.
The service plan was cheaper so I saved money.
I'm waiting to have this fridge delivered. I was only charged $40 for delivery and was promised that the delivery folks will put it in the kitchen and take away all the packing materials. I went to their website and saw that the $40 delivery is only to the curb and not inside the home. Did the sales person just lie to me? I made sure the receipt says to put the fridge in the kitchen. I hope this happens.
I've purchased appliances at Sears and their service plan is overpriced, BUT at least you know what you are getting.
**Before you agree to buy/ sign the dotted line, make sure you are happy with everything on the receipt.
The restocking fee is 25% (seems like under any condition)!!!
I did not see this line as I was in a hurry to get to another appointment. I have not asked any questions regarding the restocking fee at this moment as delivery has yet to take place.
My item was not in store so it's taking a while to be delivered.
If you buy anything in the store or in stock, I'm sure the delivery and such would be fast.
The salesperson I dealt with was courteous and gave me my space. He occasionally walked by to see if we needed assistance.
I'll finish reviewing this place once I get my fridge.
Right now, I'm nervously awaiting a good experience with this company.
UPDATE:
Sorry for the delay, but I did receive my fridge and it works great. I made sure my sales person wrote on the contract that they would deliver it into my kitchen since I did not pay for the red carpet service. I called the delivery department to make sure and they confirmed. They did inform me that the additional cost was charged to the sales person who committed it to me on the receipt. When the delivery folks came to deliver the fridge, the rolled out the red carpet and were quite respectful.
I changed my review to 4 stars (really 3.5). I hate to think what would have happened had I not be so preemptive about the entire matter and made sure things were documented on the receipt.
****If there are any other past customers of Airport Home Appliances, please post what you think of the Brand Source Expert Protection warranty. I have not seen any reviews detailing their experiences here.
Thanks! -

After some back and forth negotiating on prices, we were able to get good deals at prices better then what we could find on the web. Delivery was problematic as one piece we ordered took two weeks longer then we had been told it would be delivered.
Our sales agent, Daniel Bodnar was awesome and spent a lot of time working hard to make sure our order went smoothly. He also made sure that the delay in our delivery went as smoothly as possible. We were very impressed with him and would recommend him to others.
In short, airport appliances has its difficulties, but if you spend a little time negotiating and have a little patience you will get a good deal. And definitely, if you're going to go to airport appliances, be sure to get Dan Bodnar as you're sales guy as he will take care of ya. -

I went there to buy a range hood. They had a good assortment of range hoods, but no prices. We asked the guy helping us how much one was, he walked to another part of the store, looked it up, and came back. When he realized that we actually intended to compare prices on more than one unit, he got upset and handed us off to the new guy. I repeat, the salesman got upset because we wanted to know the prices. The next guy didn't mind looking up prices, and we bought the range hood from him. He assured us it could be delivered to the store for us to pick up on the following Friday. Except it wasn't. And they didn't know where it was, no clue. But they were pretty sure it would turn up on Monday. Except it didn't. Finally on Tuesday, MaryLou who seems like an office manager or something, actually went looking for it. Oh, hey, it's been in the store all along, probably since Friday, they just lost it. Until MaryLou found it.
Their prices don't seem to be particularly good, about like Sears. The selection seems good. But the service is pretty poor. Maybe I'm just unreasonable, wanting to know what things cost before making a decision.
Update: I see that four people have rated this review "funny". I wonder if people are amused by my writing, or if Airport Home Appliance is having employees post to Yelp. -

I recently purchased a frontload washer and dryer due to a promotional ad I saw. While my experience in store was fine, was helped promptly, questions were answered and we were in and out in 15-20 minutes. While I did read the yelp reviews, the price was too good to pass up as we were purchasing these for a rental property and didnt want to spend much. Delivery went well, everything was on time unlike many of the other reviews so I was overall pretty happy. The problem started when we installed our washer and it was bouncing all around during the spin cycle. While we did resolve the issue ourselves and all is well, in the moments when I thought it needed to be returned was when I found how AA covers their butts with potential returns. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee and open box items cannot be returned. Problem is-- their delivery people open the boxes upon delivery. Peace of mind is worth a little more and I have now realized that!

First, I'd take the average ratings for places like this with a grain of salt (Home Depot had only two stars last time I checked). Lots of peeps with bones to pick. I just bought a group of new kitchen appliances from Airport, no issues with sales or delivery, and everything worked. Be sure and shop around though - I found the stove I bought from Airport for $250 less at Lowes. Airport does offer discounts if you buy a few appliances, be sure and ask.

Well my agony and pain continues with my appliances purchased from Airport Appliance (Oakland location). I just spent $300 on my dishwasher repair bought in 2008 only to learn that the warranty I presumably thought I had is just as worthless as the dishwasher! "We only cover the motor, per the agreement" was the constant answer from Associated Service Corp. Never mind that it was the PUMP MOTOR that went out, oh no, IT'S ONLY THE MAIN MOTOR! So, per usual, not covered and OUT OF POCKET AGAIN ON MY CRAPPY APPLIANCES!!!! I have had my refrigerator replaced, microwave replaced (not easily, all done w/ lots of bickering w/ Airport Appliance to do the right thing) and now my dishwasher! I ABSOLUTELY HATE AIRPORT APPLIANCE - PLEASE BOYCOTT THEM!!!

I bought my mother in law a dishwasher from this place and it sucks. She knew what she wanted (brand) and when she got there the saleswoman talked her into getting another brand. The saleswoman made it sound like she was getting such a good deal and the best dishwasher money can buy but not even 1 month it started acting up. We wanted to return it but they said they would send someone to take a look at it, by the way, it was leaking water. So they say we were putting too much soap so then we put less soap then it stopped but the dishes were not getting cleaned and there is soap left over in the soap dispenser. After one month they said they could not take it back anymore. We will never buy anything from there again.

By far the WORST appliance store I have gone to. They cashed my check on 5/4/09 for 4 (four) appliances: refrigerator, stove, dryer, dishwasher, hood and then I never heard from them.
They originally told me the appliances would be delivered in 4 weeks. When I didn't hear from them after 5 weeks I called them and they said 6/26 (that's already longer than 4 weeks). Then they said, no, it would be 7/7. Today it's 7/7 and no appliances.
On 6/26 I explained to the salesman (couldn't get connected to the manager) that these appliances were for a house I was planning to rent. Without the appliances I could not put tenants in there and was losing approximately $83 a day. It didn't make any difference because the appliances are still not here. According to them, everything was in except the stove. I can't rent a house without a stove. I was always the one to call to try to find out what happened to my appliances. They never called once. Don't shop here. Their customer service is awful. Their prices are good, but there are many other places where prices are good and you get better treatment.
Basically, they took my money on 5/4 and I never heard from them.Comment from Alicia O. of Airport Home Appliance 7/20/2009

A large selection, great prices and they delivered the range on the same day(Saturday). We could not have been happier. When the delivery staff arrived, they were fast and quite professional. Most places like Best Buy,Fry's,Lowes, were all quoting a week at least for delivery so Airport Home Appliance was a no brainer.

Decent deals, HORRIBLE service. We went there to get a stackable washer & dryer, & a matress. The sales person didn't even bother to mention that I would need a stacking bracket...hello!? Upsale buddy! We mentioned we would be stacking them due to lack of space in our garage MULTIPLE TIMES. So we called to try & get a stacking kit from them & we had to call back 3 times since they never called back like they said they would. 1 week later, we finally got them to order a stacking bracket...now we're gonna see if they even brought in the right bracket...on to the matress...it sucks. How are you supposed to figure out which is the right matress for you for the next 10 years in 5-10, even 15 minutes!? Once again, the sales person obviously had no idea how to sell a matress. All he could tell us is what he liked...& of course it was the most expensive matress there! Well that's not even the issue, the main problem is once again, Airport Appliance saying the manager will give you a call back today about you situation...and NOT calling back! Dealing with this place might have been a terrible mistake as far as customer servive goes. Can't knock the products, the washer & dryer seem to be working jus fine. And as for the matress, there's different types for different types of sleepers as far as positions. That's for the sales person to be knowledgable & help find the RIGHT matress for the customer. That goes for anything that they are selling. They have good deals, but once you've purchased & walked out the door, they could care less about you & if everything has worked out to your satisfaction. The thing that sucks is the guy was actually a nice guy (only reason I'm not puttin him on blast by mentioning his full name!). But I'm there to buy products that I'll be using for years, I'm not there to make friends. 0 stars for HORRIBLE customer service before, during, & after/follow up!

This is a review on the follow up service that I received from Airport. Six months ago, i bought an Frigidaire electric range from them. A week and a half before Christmas it craps out. It took a week to get the service person from A&E to come and diagnose the issue--replace the control board. Clearly, it was not going to get fixed in time to cook Christmas dinner.
I worked with Cecil, store manager, and Maryanne in customer operations. They were able to find a loaner range delivered it a day before Christmas. Our Christmas dinner was saved because of their efforts. -

I never thought I would have to result to this but if there ever was an appropriate time to let potential customers know about a horrible experience, this is it. If you read a few of these reviews, they speak the truth about how the flowers bloom and the sun shines on you when you walk through the door and they pounce all over you. It's all smiles and what can I do for you. My then pregnant wife and I were given a high credit limit and the great salesman ship was in motion. We were sold a complete kitchen & washer-dryer package with delivery and installation and we were doing a complete remodel of our home. I'm going to sum this up. They only installed the gas confection oven, the refrig and dropped off the rest. We paid for 3 items to be installed. After going back and forth about a broken dryer delivered and numerous other problems/issues, I had by then spoken with Diane in Installation, Mgr Carol (who was the most helpful in this awful experience) then told to ask for Ms. Razel in service, Mary Lou and finally Kim who I never heard back from. I urge all to stay away from this establishment. Our sales person, Simon Yousif had to be hunted down by me and I had to drive down there twice from San Francisco to talk to this man face to face as he will never return your emails and then a few days later a call. Go to Best Buy or Pacific Sales where they don't work off commission.

We bought a whole bunch of appliances from these clowns a couple months ago. You might think that spending thousands of dollars would entitle you to a little customer service, but at Airport Appliance you would be wrong!! They only seem to care about making the sale, once your order is placed you will cease to exist. Simply getting the representatives on the phone if you have a question (about delivery schedule, installation schedule, etc) is a challenge, getting a straight answer is even harder. I think our contact (if you can call him that - it was almost impossible to contact him) was named Simon. I would have given 0 stars if possible but for the fact that their installer (once he finally came) was actually OK.
Honestly - you can save money going elsewhere, you can get better service elsewhere, and you can certainly save on the hassle of having to deal with these clowns elsewhere. I would never buy from them again. -

To those who have had a problem with no show delivery from Airport Appliances: See California Civil Code Section 1722 (a)(2).
First of all, we bought over $16, 000 worth of appliances. The salesperson was nice and helpful (they train their salespeople well to talk). All they want is their commission, after that, any problems, and you're on your own!!!
Delivery of the appliances went well, we were not in any hurry to receive them, thank god! The problem started when my contractor was installing the hood range. It had a dent in the front of the hood. I immediately called the salesperson and told him ii needed another hood range, ASAP. He said would order another one immediately and we even went down to Redwood City Airport Appliance a few days later to see him and make sure he had ordered it.
So much for ASAP, it took over 2 weeks to get a call that they were going to deliver my hood and pick up the damaged one, this past weekend, Saturday 3/26/11 between the hours of 3-7 p.m. My contractor had also come to house to wait so he can install it. The day goes by, no call, no show!!! I called and left a message at 7:30 p.m. at the delivery office...obviously no one answered! I also e-mailed the salesperson that same time and all he could say was "amazing" and asked that i e-mail him my full name and phone number. You would think someone would have called me immediately yesterday, 3/27 to apologize, but no....i had to call and all i get is, they have no idea what happened, i could reschedule for another delivery or i could have my contractor pick it up. NOT!!!! why should i be bothered, it was their mess up not mine!! They didn't even have the brains to load it on a truck for delivery for Sunday to try to make up for their mistake!! I called Redwood City Office and asked to speak to a manager, but all i get is the person answering asking me what the problem was, and i told him, he said would get back to me. I had to call him back following up on my complaint because he did not call me back...not even the salesperson whom i had bought my appliances cared enough to call!!!
I will never ever, buy anything from Airport Appliances again even if my life depended on it!!!
