Looking for a camping spot within sight of the Columbia River??

This camp spot was recommended by one of the Visitor Center Guides at the Dalles Dam. She has been to all of the camping spots here along the river and I was very glad I asked for her input on where to stay.

Each camp spot has electric power, water, drain for both wash water and gray water from your RV with the hookup, too. Fire pit for burning firewood - sold on site by the local ranger and a picnic table, as well. Parking space for a full sized RV or a truck with a boat or camping trailer.

Cost is a modest $14 per night with hot showers included AND NO TIMER on the hot water!!

We enjoyed it so much, we stayed for two nights . . . hiking to nearby Horsetail Falls and Pony Tail Falls is another bonus . . . what a green and lovely spot. Hiking trails are well maintained and you could take off from here on a major hiking jaunt if you chose to do so.

Check out my pictures, it is truly a green garden spot.

Magnificent waterfalls easily accessible from I-84.  Horsetail Falls was a real treat before continuing on to the much more popular Multnomah Falls.  Spectacular scenery and very few tourists.
