I had the pleasure of attending a recent bridal faire here and was very impressed with the cute little Ainsley House and backyard! It's just so adorable and cute, but doesn't seem like a place that can accomodate a larger wedding - parking can be an issue, so plan accordingly.

There is a nice bridal suite upstairs you are allowed to get ready in however, you are only allowed about 30 minutes to take pictures inside the house. Other than that, there are really no other indoor options.

I agree with Piggy S that if you're looking for a great price, Ainsley House is very affordable and quite nice, however the grass can get a little soggy, so you may want to tell your guests to bring an extra pair of shoes.

This is perfect for the couple who's looking for an Alice in Wonderland outdoor tea party style wedding and is a great affordable alternative to the Nestldown's nickel and dimers.

This was our fourth top choice for a wedding venue.  The Ainsly house is really cute and you would have the wedding and reception in the backyard of the house.  The price for renting the Ainsley house is great ($1600 for Saturday rental).  The reason we didn't go with location is that it is a very small venue - it's just the house and backyard, there are no side gardens for your guests to really check out while your take your formal pictures, no area for cocktails, etc.  But if you want to cut costs, this place is super affordable and still super cute.

We recently had both our wedding ceremony and our reception at the Ainsley House. Like a typical outdoor wedding, it was a lot of work since we had to rent everything from the outside (they did provide umbrellas which came in very handy). They are also very strict about what you can and cannot do, e.g. no tents or runners allowed on the grass. They also require a somewhat hefty deposit. However, the upside to that is that you can tell that everything is maintained very well. The gardens looked beautiful and the house was gorgeous even at night since they turn on the lights once it gets dark.

The staff and wedding coordinator were all very helpful in answering our questions. My advice to anyone who is interested in having their wedding here is to ask lots of questions early. Don't assume anything is okay until you ask! We forgot to ask whether we could have tents or a carpet and consequently had to get rid of them at the last minute. We also lucked out by having excellent service staff and a great rental company which was able to disassemble and clean up everything quickly. The Ainsley House requires that you clean everything up the same day as you are not allowed to leave anything on the lawn overnight.

But we were super happy how everything turned out. Having your wedding here takes more effort and planning than renting a hall or similar space, but if you are willing to put in the time its definitely worth it! We had our ceremony in the garden itself which was really amazing. Since we had a relatively small wedding, it was also a great place to have our reception. Book early because dates tend to fill up fast, especially in the summertime!

We had our ceremony at the Ainsley House in Campbell.  It's a historic Tudor house with a large garden - it was in full bloom in June!  You can only seat 200 in the garden so a lot of people had to stand.  It was fine because our ceremony was about 15 minutes tops - including procession and recession!

The Ainsley House does not provide anything - we had to rent chairs and umbrellas.  They don't allow you to scatter rose petals in the aisle (I didn't find out until the day of!) and you are responsible for cleaning up after the ceremony.  In addition to the rental price, you also need to pay a $50 membership to the museum to secure the garden space.

I am yelping their annual high tea that they have here. They do it annually around the holiday time so I came with my sister. The tea event itself is $30 during the weekends and is held in the carriage house. It was pretty much this small room that they crammed some square tables and chairs in. There were too many people and it was way too noisy. The staff was running around very frazzled and it took a while to get service. There was no choice of tea being served, it was straight Lipton I think. The meyer lemon slices that looked like orange slices was a nice touch, as were the cute sugar cubes with colored sugar flowers on them. The finger sandwiches I could have done without. Some were like mysteries, not good ones, and others had really heavy strong flavors like pears and LOTS of goat cheese. There were no crusts but it looked like someone hurried mom just threw them together quickly. The sweets were a little better. There were these pumpkin pie rounds which were good. The lemon bar was also alright, the macaroons were good. We only had 2 people so we ended up having to sit with another group of 2 so instead of bonding with ourselves over holiday tea, we had to be nice and socialize with these strangers for an hour. The kicker to this uneventful tea time was the orange scone. I thought I was imagining things at first but it tasted and smelled, right before you took a bite but had brought it up to your nose, like it had been dipped in fish or something fishy. Maybe the scones played too nicely with the tuna from the sandwiches? ewww! Fishy scone. No thanks. The tea event wasn't worth $30, but I just hope the money was donated to help restore the house.

The only reason this place gets 3 stars in because of the house tour we got afterwards. The docent was very knowledgeable and you were able to walk about the whole house, except for the attic. But since it's the holidays, there was a different decorated x-mas tree in each and every room which added much excitement to me since I don't normally tour houses. The roofing was really cool though.
