I brought an early Samsung flat screen TV for repair.  They replaced all condensers/capacitors (confirmed by blogs as the cause of these kinds of failures); charged $150 (far less  than Best Buy would have charged); it worked for 2 weeks and failed again.  After keeping it for two days, they said that they could not fix it, and it was not worth repairing, given current low costs for a set of this size (22"). They refunded the $150.  Unfailingly polite and responsive to our concerns, parking available on nearby streets, convenient hours.  Modest looking shop, but they are honest and knowledgeable.  five stars.  Tom in DC

Quick appointment, nice & friendly & helpful woman on the phone, arrived right on time. Nice guy and his assistant came out to repair my flatscreen LCD 2007 Samsung - same issue as another reviewer had (stupid cheap capacitors!). Replaced the old/worn out capacitors quickly and we actually had a good time visiting. Holding a star back to see if the picture weirdness repairs itself - apparently a by-product of the blown capacitors that I didn't replace for a couple of years. They asked me to please call back in a couple of weeks & let them know how it's going, and they'll come back out if it's not. TV actually comes right on now; no more waiting 3-4 minutes!

I originally tried to call Davis Electronics, but after multiple attempts and no call back, I decided to give Aida a call.  It was a Saturday and I was assuming that they either 1) wouldn't be there or 2) wouldn't be able to come out until the following week.  Much to my surprise, they picked up and after explaining my issue they said that they would call me back after talking with a technician.  Twenty minutes later, they called me back and the technician was able to come out that day!!

The technician showed up on-time (take note Comcast) and replaced my TV on site.  He even showed me what was wrong with the TV and how I could fix it myself.

Great service and I highly recommend them!!

I probably shouldn't write this review, since I didn't actually buy anything from the place.  My (giant, immovable) TV kicked the bucket, and I wandered in to see what it might cost to have a little TV-repair housecall action.

I expected a cold response.  "Um, we don't know anything until we see your TV, buttmunch.  House calls are $100."  Instead, I ended up having a long chat with Earl, the owner, who has been in the TV/pager/telephone business for a few decades.

The man made one hell of an impression on me.  He gave an honest assessment of the TV ("something is probably very wrong with it, and it will probably cost more to fix than you paid for it"), and then we proceeded to have a long conversation about televisions, economics, politics, and race relations.

Clearly, Earl is an awesome guy.  I suspect that he's also a damned good TV/phone/pager repairman.  If you can find an excuse to do business with this guy, I highly recommend it.  And if I'm wrong about his repair skills, I'm sure you'll let us know.
