Love this place! Authentic and very tasty. The owners are fantastic, very service oriented and very attentive. Very nice people and will chat with you if you show interest. Occasionally a bit slow when they are swamped but not much.
Check em out! They are a nice add to the St. George area restaurant scene. -

A good authentic vietnamese restaurant in the middle of Utah? That's right! A godsend for the road tripper weary of awful fast food and gross local "cuisine". Vegetarian options even.
Living in San Francisco, I have learned that my expectations are skewed, and that road trips require eating food that challenges my definition of mediocrity and horror.
This place is actually good. As in, good by San Francisco standards.
They get an extra star for being in Utah. -

I thought this place was ok but nothing to rave about. I guess the fact that there even is any ethnic food in St George is a miracle. It just isn't as good as the Vietnamese places in larger cities but I do applaud them for being open in St George.
The restaurant is bright and clean as are the bathrooms. We went on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. This is a good weekend alternative to all the chain restaurants that are all over St George.
We happened to be camping around Springdale for the weekend and found this place when it was too windy (strong enough to blow over a small child!) to cook anything outside. It was a good last minute find and was definitely better than being blown away at the campsite! -

You know, because the desert southwest is know for... its pho.
My wife had some chicken pho. The broth wasn't as deeply flavored as some other pho broths I've had, but honestly... I'm in St. George, who cares? The noodles were good as well.
I had the vermicelli with shrimp, for a change. It was served with a fish broth that I liked quite a bit. In addition, the shrimp was cooked with a sauce that was sort of like barbecue, only spicier. It came with lettuce, basil and mint... and putting the pieces together was rather challenging, but when all of the flavors managed to make it into my mouth at once, it was quite good.
This was topped off with a Vietnamese coffee so strong, it kept me awake 'til 3 AM the next day. Not bad for having had it at 8:30 that night, although I really would have liked my sleep.
There are plenty of other places to eat at St. George that are less healthy (and plenty busier... see: Texas Roadhouse). But Ah'sya delivers well on the authentic Vietnamese concept. -

The pho is pretty tasty, especially since it's the only pho you can find in Southern Utah. I have been here twice and been satisfied with my meal both times; for folks that have accompanied me, it has been slightly hit-or-miss for them. I think if you stick to the pho items, you cannot go wrong.
Vegetarians beware: There are no vegetarian pho options and not an abundance of other options elsewhere on the menu either. -

While not at all what I expected- the spring rolls were delightful. Everything was so clean and fresh. All we need now is atmosphere.

On the way to this restaurant I drove past Abblebees (packed), Chilis (packed), Olive Garden (packed), Outback (packed) and then I arrived at Ah'sya Vietnamese restaurant. Two tables were occupied and it was 6 PM (dinner time in So. Utah). This is only me second time eating here, and both times I had the Pho soup (Pho Satay this time). Large portions, great flavor, helpful comments from the waiter on how to eat the soup.
Why do people insist on going to bland national chain restaurants instead of supporting these great small local places?
Go there, you will like it. Don't know much about Vietnamese food, no problem I don't either. They are helpful and will explain it to you. Expand your horizons. Go. -

Just moved here from California and was craving Pho. We ordered egg rolls, chicken pho and a pork rice plate. I'm very picky with my Vietnamese food and I have to say the food here was very good. The egg rolls weren't too oily, the Pho was tasty, and the pork rice plate was good as well. Oh, and can't forget the Thai Ice Tea... yum!

IReally excellent Vietnamese food! Delicious spring rolls with BBQ pork, yummy orange chicken, really good pork and rice and interesting vermicelli weave wraps. Stopped here on the way to Salt Lake and again on the way back!

I am spoiled from all the wonderful viet places around home so when i went here i kept that in mind.
The owner was super friendly, made us feel right at home and chatted us up. It was a slow night but he really seemed like a friendly guy.
I got my standard 'white boy soup' Pho Ga and it was pretty good. The chicken was about standard for most Pho places, i would rate it 3 out of 5 chickens. The broth was super tasty though and just the right size. Not to big, not too small. We got plenty of sprouts, jalapenos and salad leaves. I always ask for more but i didnt need to here which was a nice surprise.
If you dont feel like choking down a steak from next door, go have some tasty Pho. you'll be glad you did. -

I've been to probably 50-100 Vietnamese restaurants and the pho here was tasty. Not the best but way better than average. Meat could have been a little better but the broth flavor and noodles were good. Vietnamese coffee was delicious!

A bit pricey for Pho, but since it's fantastic and the ONLY place to get Pho in all of southern Utah....it's worth it! The service is a bit slow, but not for lack of trying. It's a small, local place (not a chain) that has VERY hard workers....just not many of them. Everything is cooked up fresh. While I go nuts for the Pho, my husband says it's the very best Orange chicken he's ever had (I agree with him). They cook it up fresh using panko and it's simply delightful! The waiter is very nice and I feel for him...he works so hard. Support these small places that really make excellent quality meals! :D

It's tough to find a Vietnamese restaurant in the southwest outside of big cities and southern California, so we're pleased we've go one in St. George. And it is a fine restaurant! The food is FRESH with fine flavors. The waitstaff help you if your a newbie as well as a regular. The menu is varied and as close to that from Vietnam as you'll find without being there. We recommend this restaurant without reservation!

Try the fresh basil rolls. The pho is fantastic! Try number 12. Also the woven vermicelli is perfectly served with quality savory side herbs and fish sauce I want to drink straight. My favorite restaurant in southern Utah

It's not authentic vietnamese food. It is pretty clean, though. I ordered the bun cha gui. The fish sauce was too watered down, and instead of crush toasted peanuts, they used peanut paste. My husband ordered pho dac biet and it lacked flavor. The portion size was also on the small side. He had to eat 2 bowls ($8 a bowl) to be full.

This is the best restaurant in St.. George. Highlights include the noodle soup with beef strips (pho tai), the spring rolls with shrimp or pork and the egg rolls. Ethnic cuisine of a quality that is truly difficult to find in st. George.

I love this food! There isn't anything like this in St. George. My husband and I were shopping nearby and decided to give Ah'sya a try. We were the only dine in customers when we entered. One take out customer was waiting and chatting with the owner. While we were there about 5 more tables filled with customers. It is pretty small inside. Probably less than 15 tables. The ambiance was very pleasant. We had never eaten Vienamese food before, so our server talked about the menu and suggested a few dishes for us to try. She was super friendly and very informative. We ordered spring rolls, #2 Pho and a chicken & egg roll noodle dish. Everything was delicious! The Pho was so good! I can't wait to go back. Another wonderful, locally owned restaurant.

Athens, OH
As a transplant from SoCal to the Midwest, I have searched for Vietnamese food in places like Champaign, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Ann Arbor, MI; and Cincinnati and Columbus, OH. Other than Chicago, I have not been able to find good/quality Vietnamese food. Ah'sya is one of the rare places outside of the big cities where you can get really good stuff. For starters, the fried egg rolls and shrimp salad were quite fresh and tasty. The pho special (good beef noodle soup without the msg) and bun bo hue (Hue style noodle soup with lemongrass) had a lot of flavor and were sizeable portions. The broth (being the most important) for both were just right; noodles had good and firm texture; thin slices of eye round steak, well done flank, brisket, soft tendons, meatballs, and tripe cannot be overstated as key components for a good bowl of pho. Ah'sya has a wide selection on the menu (including rice plates) and can make accomodations based on your taste. The place's pretty spacious, yet is intimate with nice decor. Food, service, and people are great there! What more can you ask for...wish we had a place like that in OH.
